  • Must've felt really safe watching that when he went back for a second attempt :P

  • Very very lucky indeed. That's a story to tell to grandkids. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • kinda embarrassing

  • His nukitsuke needs major work.

  • No, it wasn't blunt because he used it to cut the Tatami. It actually has to be incredibly sharp to make it through those. As far as I could tell when I was there, the sword hit the guy with the back of the blade or the flat of the blade. Still it's a heavy piece of metal flying through the air so it's bound to hurt.

  • Does that mean the sword's blade is quite blunted? haha XD

  • natural 1

  • I dont know much on test cutting but i do know...

one,you make sure the area is clear, facing a corner.

and newbies should ties the cord around there wrist, jus so,this doesnt happen.

and white belt anything shouldn't even be allowed to hold a katana.

  • wow, that could have ended bad. how embarassing

  • lol was'n nood :-P

  • Not much of a master hey!

  • The person that dropped to their knees after the sword flew towards them was gripping their hand afterwords. That person ok? Almost looks as if their hand got nicked a little.

  • Well the event coordinator said that everyone was ok, and when I went through the video in slow motion it looks like it hit the guy on the flat of the blade, then the handle of the sword hit the girl in the leg. Very lucky people. Or not lucky depending on how you look at it.

  • lol
