Dave Mirra has some serious balls jumping the Subaru STI with some rear suspension damage. Shame they didn't do too well, but it's still a decent effort for a car in development.
Some great footage. So sad I missed this but this video made me feel like I was there... as a passenger.
A Subaru. If you noticed in just about every competition, the bumper on these 2008-2011 model WRXs/Stis are always the first things to fall off. It happens on production models as well. Hope 2012 brings a change to this. :)
@BlackCavalier52 I agree especially because ESPN always just plays Nascar races over and over and over again.. And then over again some more...SPEED might possibly play it they like to show all kinds of racing it seems. Im hoping they start showing Rally/WRC races on that channel maybe sometime in the future.
I like how they don't show love for Stephan Verdier. A works driver using one of their chassis just outplaced all of their factory guys using a old beat up car and off the shelf parts.....FOR THE SECOND TIME! He did the same thing in the X Games Rallycross.
I love the New Veloster, I'm still a Subaru addict but the last few years are pure dissapointment. First of all , build a new smaller WRC car , don't even have to call it impreza , it can be Justy WRC for all that I care.... . Then fully commit to WRC , don't be like Audi after some succes just quit.... . Subaru is Rally pure and simple. Leaving WRC was a huge mistake.... same goes for letting go of designer in charge of 06,07 styling.... Next STI has to be smaller , lighter, and 2 door.
@SubaruPowerr Gotta get the fans to the stands to support most racing these days. Today's "average" spectator isn't hardcore enough to really enjoy WRC, just like road racing, especially here in the US. Comfy seat, cold beer and convenient restroom makes today's racing fan.
I was at Irwindale, the program was long, too much time in between races, low car count, but when it came to racing...it was pretty good. I'd go again.
I would really like to see that on live as well but I still prefer WRC. Looking at speeding WRC cars between trees would give me more pleasure than this. Unfortunately you're right about increasing number of couch potatoes.
damned equal length headers and flimsy bodies, time to go watch some group A GC's, old time rally

Yeah this is just SO GLOBAL when you're having THREE rounds for a whole championship, with all of them being in the USA.

The 2008-2011 hatchbacks look freaking amazing, but the 2006-07 sedans look the best! :D I LOVE SUBARU!

don't get me wrong. I love Subaru, but this kind of racing is just silly... Typical WRC is much better. I hope Subaru will be winning sth there.
