@wallyc1972: I shot this video a long time ago as a newer diver. Since then, I've changed my opinion about placing objects in the water. Your comment is pretty worthless, though. Couldn't you at least provide some basis for your opinion?
@wallyc1972 That's not opinion: that's fact. And I'm certainly not advocating people put more stuff in the ocean.
Your opinion is that man-made objects underwater are "junk." While I tend to agree with this, many divers don't agree. In fact, anybody who has dived our local sites would probably agree it's pretty barren out there, except where this "junk" exists. In that sense, it serves the purpose of providing shelter for lots of little critters.
@wallyc1972 I think I was kinda being an ass for no apparent reason. I totally agree with you that the stuff placed at Redondo is junky, and I'd be the first one in line to remove it. Unfortunately, it's also illegal to remove stuff from the water without a permit, and now lots of critters have taken up residence in the junk. Maybe someday our elected officials will realize that creating artificial reefs from old ships is actually a good thing, and people can stop making their own.
Way to add more GARBAGE to the Redondo DUMP!

@BlackToeTheCrippler The Basis of my Opinion, besides it is illegal to place things like this in the water.
