When ever Rafi saab greeted goodbyr ,,he use to say "Khuda hafiz" but after recording this song when he met Lakshmikant ,,he said in a low tone.."chalta hun". laksh was confused for he never heard such a way of speaking fom Rafi saab. Perhaps Rafi saab knew that it was his time to leave. These incident is existing in interview by lakshmikant.

Apparently Rafi sung this about 4pm on the 31st July 1980 & suffered a major heart attack at 7.30pm. The following day his funeral takes place where thousands attend, it was one of the largest funerals mumbai had witnessed.
After this recording, he tells Laximmat Pyaralal,that he will leave now (twice) for which L.P.said,Rafi had NEVER said this before!
He's next due recording was going to be a tribute song to an actor who died a week before. Why did Rafi leave us so early?
