No you have to have the Galloway hammer for the modified trigger bar to work. I made my own trigger bar and if I did not have Galloways hammer installed, it would be useless. The object is to shorten the pull and move the break point (where the gun goes boom) forward . My gun goes boom when the trigger is pulled to the middle of the trigger guard. The stock hammer/trigger bar make you pull the trigger all the way to the rear of the trigger guard.
