An all-time classic. It's proof of how amazing Murmur was that they can bring material like West of the Fields back and it just slots perfectly into their set. This is the real REM!

its nice they still play those songs. even though i was a baby when this album came out recently i fell in love with that album and everything by them until document. after the smiths i think they are my 2nd favorite band from the eighties.

i used to listen to 'murmur' all the time before i went to bed at night, it was one of the great lp's to listen to in the dark, it had such a mood about it...does that make any sense? i was one of the only people at school into r.e.m. at the time, back in 1983-84...glad to see they're still at it...i just hope it's a bit faster for the followup lp to 'accelerate'!
