The Bolsheviks used some tactics which centralised power, but this was in part a response to the White armies. However they also had functioning workers councils. I don't think that Trotsky and Lenin were opposed to worker control, but they may not have thought the conditions for decentralisation were there while the revolution was under attack.

Lenin developed State Capitalism.

But yeah I'm with you on worker control of production and distribution.

Socialism will have to be international and moneyless.

Trotsky was one of the best of us. If only Lenin's wishes had been heeded, and Stalin not been made General Secretary, things would have been so much different. I don't doubt that WW2 would have been much different, as Trotsky would never have allied with Hitler or left the border so weak. He was a great man who deserves to be remembered as such.

If you actually read Marx you'd see that he actually seeks to rid the world of the state. He comes up with a systematic way of doing so by calling for the creation of a state without oppression that would "wither away" because of the fact that states need oppression in order to exsist. The Paris Commune taught us that immediate and absolute destruction of the state is impractical due to the fact the reactionaries will immediately destroy the revolution and reinstate the old order.
