No anti-virus software is worth actually paying for, as they ALL do the SAME thing. My personal favorite is Avast! due to its excellent On-Access scanning. It has picked up quite a few virus' I've written myself the minute I save them. A good program for removing Rogue Anti-virus programs is MalwareBytes' Anti-malware. Just download the free trial and remove away. If this fails then try in safe mode.
My anti virus is ESET Smart Security Ver. 3.0.621.0 and it has FREE UPDATES for 50 years because of TEM DONO FIX.! I downloaded it as a torrent in Piratebay, Just google it. Smart security includes a Personal Firewall, Anti-Virus, and Anti Spyware.
lol yes ie antivirus is really fake and steals you creditcard info if you give it to them. it will start popping up screens on your screen and it will change your background, dont download IT
i have mcaffe for a virus scanner and firewal i havnt found my use with mcaffe very good but it has no possibility/option of getting rid of malware for that i have downloaded spybot very good program for malware removal/get rid of and since i decided to use these 2 programs i have not gotten a virus i cant detect
About a 5 days ago i entered a site and, out of nowhere appeared this window that said that this video requires an activex codec.
So, i installed it, and after that came IE Antivirus. Appeared a window that told me that my computer is not safe, ad i installed IE Antivirus.
After that every time I opened a folder appeared a message box that said that my computer isn't safe. I had two options to choose from: Yes and NO. And if i selected No, it will still redirect me to IE Antivirus webpage
since IE Antivirus is a fake with lots of viruses, i got superantispyware to dispose of the 400 threats... then i safely removed ie with the windows official remover!
FOR ALL YOUR YOUTUBE SAFETY! DO NOT DOWNLOAD SHIT WITHOUT THINKING! AND DO NOT GET I E ANTIVIRUS SCAM!!!!!!!!!!
i downloaded some shit off google groups and got a fake alert telling me i need ie antivirus and that ie antivirus was a fake! it came with 400 threats!!!!
Speaking of this.. Anyone out there familar with this IE ANTIVIRUS BullS*&&T virus yet! How do I get rid of it free! Sure if I pay Norton an ADDDITIONAL 100 bucks! They'll get rid of it! Any solutions would be MORE than appreciative!

SO DON'T DOWNLOAD IE ANTIVIRUS. IT IS A SPYWARE ITSELF!
IF YOU EXPERIENCE THIS TYPE OF MESSAGES, SCAN YOUR COMPUTER FOR SPYWARE WITH A REAL ANISPYWARE, OR REMOVE IT MANUALLY!

So did i, as always.
I'm still a computer moron to be honest and it'll be a long way to go till i'm able to use features other than Windows.
I'm using Avast 4.7 (and Win-Vista firewall)and never had any trouble. Hope it stays that way; but then, you best learn by trouble solving.
