WOW! He just knocked my socks off!.....................always loved him, his voice, his big band orchestra, but this was something I never saw him do and absolutely enjoyed myself just seeing this performance which was extraordinarily powerful, exciting.... and now I'm totally exhausted! :)
There used to be another (even cooler) version of Harry doing this on youtube but it got removed. The other version was partly similar, except the band joined in at the end. I would be grateful if anyone could help me track down the album with that other version on it. (I don't mean the other band version currently on youtube.)
I don't know about the percussion interludes and the noisy last minute, but the rest of this grooves so much and contains so many beautiful variations that I have had to listen to this repeatedly. I wish I could find more clips/recordings him playing solo in this way.
