Salaam Alaikum..I thought the essence of Islamic Monotheism first and foremost was the realization of the Tawhid, the Oneness of Allah and no one but Him is to be worshipped. Indeed the five pillars are elements but I find the heart is recognizing the Oneness of Allah. Ibn Muhammad (Sallahu Alaihi wa Salaam) is the messenger, prophet. The last. The Seal. I thought this was the heart and brain the five pillars indeed strengthens but do not define the Deen..Jazaak Alaah Khayr!!!!!!
