That's because it was cheaper to have bigger eyes. Bigger eyes= more emotion= less money spent on facial expressions. Over time, anime eyes have gotten smaller, but the eyes are still pretty big because it's been like that for a long time. It's become tradition. It's not because Japanese people want to be white.

I see Japanese skin color in anime and they do have some anime shows that have most anime characters have black hair. those that have crazy colors are actually part of their culture. Some Japanese teens dye their hair those colors. It's a fashion style called Harajuku. Also, anime with crazy hair tend to be of the fantasy and kids genre. Same goes for the eye color. The noses are part of anime tradition like the eyes. Plus, it's easier to draw the noses like that.

While it is rare to see American celebrities in anime shows, American pop culture does travel the world. Plus, MJ was an international star. He was loved not only in Japan but in other countries. In fact he was loved much more in other countries than here. Ask anyone in Japan if they believe that MJ was a child molester and almost all of them will say no. I highly doubt it. First off MJ was too busy to do stuff like that. The only times he went into Japan was for tours. Secondly, he doesn't sound that much like MJ to me. Thirdly, I doubt MJ knew Japanese (though I hear he knew Spanish). Finally, when the anime MJ says some english words, they sound more like a Japanese person saying them than an American. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you asked. Don't worry, I secretly wish it was him too.
