Amazing to think every time I'm holding down the trigger. hosing down my opponents with fully automatic fire that all this magic is going on in the palm of my hand...
@FleshlightPro Almost nothing. The problem is that the pressure caused by a BB travelling down the barrel forces the pistol to slow down a bit. That means that dry firing will make the piston clash a little bit harder.
There are some idiots who tell you "HURR YOU CANT DRY FIRE" because it will break your internals in a few hundreds shots.
People have been dryfiring thousands of shots (because it's a way to check if your shimming sucks or if your motor is not in place) but still going strong.
@FleshlightPro You just have to take into account that you shouldn't dry fire more than you shoot BBs. There is nothing wrong in having to fire 100 dry shots because you have been tweaking your gearbox that day.
@taofledermaus well I have already tried something but all Times the Motor was Not strong enough so I have asked you. Mayby someone here Know a Way to Change the Motor
@TheMusiclover297 I have never taken one apart, but it might be possible to install a stronger spring in it. You might have to experiment a little. Maybe if you figure it out you can post a video on how you modded it out as I am sure others would love to see that.
@taofledermaus i tried it before on a a plastic gearbox....it doesnt work because the spring destroys the plastic gears.... and if the motor isnt strong enough it will try to push forward and the motor will burn out and no longer work...
*i have had a lot of airsoft guns i basically threw away because i tried modding them without getting new motors and batteries....and gears >.>
@taofledermaus it is possible to take a gearbox apart and change the spring to a stronger or weaker spring the only problem is that if you change the spring to a stronger spring, something in the gear box will break especially if you gearbox is plastic. i would only upgrade the spring if you have a full metal gear box that is properly shimmed
could it be possible to have the piston in the loaded position so when u pull the trigger the piston releases immediately instead of going back first?
i got another stupid thing to say: its plactic. is that just for us to see through it. because i would never want to be near a plastic GB it would explode!
@hardr0cker64 It uses a remote trigger. This is from a P90 so the trigger is towards the front of the gun while the gearbox is more towards the back. Not a stupid question at all.
@Apoctank OR It is a cheepo crappy China Plastic gearbox that doesn´t follow any kind of Version...notice MOVING CYLINDER/NOZZLE assembly, cheap plastic Springguide, cheap spring and generally totally off Sector Gear design.
No "Higher Grade" Gearbox I know off MOVES its entire cylinder to chamber a BB.
Hooked my LPEG to a 12v car battery and modified a coke bottle to feed it(gravity fed) lasted about 500 rds before the gear that meshes with the motor striped but other that that is was sound!
Hi nice video. I've been looking for ages for a cheap plastic gearbox in that style however I live in the UK and I cant seem to find any know anywhere i could buy one or a company that would ship the same gearbox in your video to me?
@wolves3580 Thanks! I am in the middle of re-doing this video now that I have some more experience with the camera. I've hooked up this crummy little gearbox to a 19.2 volt battery. Amazingly it did not self-destruct. The new video should be up tonight though. The only good thing about the gearbox is you can see the components turning.
looks like a V6 ABS gearbox. You can see the spring vibrating thats why you get a buzzing sound after shooting with some guns... i just hada lot of people asking me why there new CA m4 CQBs buzz when they shoot... its just the material and design of the spring that causes it to vibrate and buzz after shooting it isnt a bad thing.. its normal
Wow, excellent video. This is something that I, too, wanted to record, but you beat me to it. Regardless, I think you managed to get a better shot than I would have.
That's a fuse. When one burns out it usually means there's some other problem in the gun that would have done actual damage to the rest of the gun if the fuse hadn't burned out and cut the power. It can prevent damage not only to the electronics, but also to a lot of the mechanical pieces...
YES! a fuse!! thank you :D.. and that's what I meant.. If a fuse is burned out that means you can fix the actual problem without scrapping the whole electrical system.. :P

Oh i have already heard something about increasing fps by Making the piston lighter. But does it Really help? I mean this Gearbox is a Bit kinda.
TheMusiclover297 3 months ago
@TheMusiclover297 A friend of mine did lighten his piston and got more ft/sec speed. I think it was about 40 or 50 fps but it did help.

@ bizzyg12 oh i have alraedy heard something about making the piston lighter but i dunno if it is very usefull or Not.

@taofledermaus you would need a higher quality gearbox than this one, this one is just a cheap plastic gearbox.

@TheMusiclover297 u can precisly, carfully drill holes in the piston to make it lighter, therfore the spring has less work to do..

Now i see it this way i can't imagine it is very durable.
I don't own an aeg, only an 60 dollar full metal spring colt 1911.
But all those weels are plastic! one day thell break off no?
I wan't to buy an aeg too, but now i see it i fear it will break too fast

This is a version 6 gearbox! its not a:
version 2, because of the motor placement and lack of visible trigger
version 1, because of the lack of the little metal piece that connnects to the trigger
O.o

@Apoctank no, this is not a v6 gearbox. this is Well's poor attempt at making a gearbox. look up the TM v6 to see what a real v6 actually looks like.

That's pretty cool. It's interesting how in this cheap gearbox they combined the cylinder, air nozzle and tappet plate into one piece.
bleucheeze06 3 years ago
Maybe that's why it doesn't work very "Well"! This gearbox is also out of a Well P90. I should hook it up to 36vdc and film it burning up. hehe
taofledermaus 3 years ago
Haha.. here's my prediction: a tooth breaks off a gear and gets stuck in something, causing the motor to overheat and burn up a contact somewhere.
bleucheeze06 3 years ago
That's why most of the guns have a safety thing(damn forgot what's it called) :P..
what was it called.. the thing that burns up faster the the wires so that you wouldn't have to change the whole electic system?? :P
syrese 3 years ago
That's a fuse. When one burns out it usually means there's some other problem in the gun that would have done actual damage to the rest of the gun if the fuse hadn't burned out and cut the power. It can prevent damage not only to the electronics, but also to a lot of the mechanical pieces...
