Daniel said the storage is too dark.. try to imagine you being Daniel for a moment.

You entered the storage after the chase in the archive tunnels.It's fucking dark, and your lantern would make you an easy find for any kind of enemy. You think you heard something after you picked up a drill-part.

So you proceed through the darkness, hear footsteps.. you open a door that you never should have opened. The monster you just escaped from ( due to darkness ) reappears later again.

Fuck. The. Storage.

to be honest, it's hard to differentiate between ambience and actual background noises. I heard random footsteps in the Archives. I couldn't tell if it was just background noise, a real monster, or just ambience. Regardless, my instincts took over. i soon blocked the door up completely with chairs and crates. Sitting in a locked wardrobe in a fully lit room with blocked doors. waiting for an enemy i didnt know would never come.

And you could have like, an audio player that you can covertly switch on when you 'aggro'. It'd play the monster aggro music.

So when you see a person, you switch it on, thus bringing the "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE­EEEEE" sound forth and slump after them. Maybe even make some monster noises.

Frictional does many things to fuck with your mind. Music being a giant factor, when playing this, sometimes they'd play a soothing tone and switch it up to something like this, spooky to say at the least.
