Might this concery eventually be available on DVD? This is one of my favourite albums and I've been wondering what it actually looked like for years! Many thanks for this!!
this is the concert I missed!!! I was in Heidelberg Germany at the time with the 33rd Army band and I didn't make it. CRAP!!! Thanks so much for posting it, i think he peaked with this album and concert, just fantastic!!!! God Bless you for posting this!!!!!!
God bless you for upload. All my music career as trumpet player was listen to Don Ellis, especially this music from the omonimus album. This is the gold value of Youtube
Nice sound on a 4 valve Fluglehorn - absolutely nice being able to see most of this concert as it adds another dimension to the recording which we have just ordered another copy of the CD since the first one got lost somehow. (We wore out the original vinyl way back when). Sorry we can't see the clips of Ann Patterson and Ted Nash on their solo spots :-(:-( Glad that we can see what we can - great footage. Thanks for posting this as well.
It is great to see footage of one of my heroes from High School. I saw the Ellis Band three times in the early 1970s. Fantastic shows. Thanks for posting this.

This is mesmerizing. It is the exact performance from Don's last album, "Live At Montreux. I had no idea it had been recorded on video.
