4.6 the 5.4 just lately became a mustang engine with the s/c version, before with cobra's it was the 4.6 4v, this car is a twin Turbo engine, which if set up correctly can almost be run as stock, until you hit the rpm and spool the turbos, so 20+mpg til ya get after it,then prolly 4.but a true new style street strip vehicle

@THEMASTEROFYOU2000 actualy the 5.4 supercharged package came out in 05 and was called the gt500. in 99 when the cobra r came out they were planning on supercharging it but the idea was put off since the plan for the new body style was hitting the drawling boards.

@.buit these little ohv engines are WOW!, screamers!. Nelson has got the turbo deal down and his combos are crazy awsome, I cannot wait to see his ohc engne, teased about in that one video of him assembling the short block. Proline's engines are over and above the rest, but his creation I am dying to check out, am wondering why we have yet to see it all, must be something going on behind the scenes. cannot wait and if it's more affordable than proline well, Im in line for it!!!

true but the aftermarket soon began offering s/c'ers and were iin great use way before the gt's. I agree with you totally, but of ell the American engines these little Fords seem to resond so much better to the addition of superc/turbos.I think its the head design, and know that before they came along the agreed fastest revgving engine was the dodge 340

@poiznd1 Round about the 3:50 mark he mentions each gear has a separate programmed amount of boost. So small amount for low gears and then more for higher gears. Sounds interesting.

@iPROFITDON yeah he said in another video that the engine is capable of 1500+ hp but for the shelby package they're keeping it at around 1000-1200hp

what is the air locker? and the valet switch? what are they for?

i like the idea of gear based boost control, but the twin tank system also cool but could be odd, coz race gas here is aus costs heaps could it be setup to run primary on 91 and the secondary on 98?

i usually hate ford but this is a machine love the work credit where credit is due WELL DONE

@IEVLV8 the airlocker locks up the rear end all the way, LSD's dont work real well at 1000 rwhp. the valet switch makes it so the valet doesnt get to play with your 1000 rwhp car... by perminately opening the blow off valves for the turbo system.
