@ssmmaaad i got one and he doesnt really give a damn what i call him, as long as he's happy and it'll more then likely be pronounced the same way even if people misspell
Thank you for all your kind answers! I will take your suggestions, and I'll buy another dog. I love Viszlas, but it's better for the potential dog (and myself!), right?
I've decided I'm getting a wire-haired Dacshund! I also love them, and they are more of an apartment dog (with regular exercise, of course, just not as much as a Viszla would need!).
hey man...just wondering how much money will be spent on vizslas as pups then as adults on food, lets say monthly?(estimate)...and do you think a 45 min jog is enought for vizslas or do they need more excerise or should i betta be off with a smaller dog such as a jack russel?
If you have a house with big garden or live near a forest and teach him to go out by himself, it should be enough. But if you live in a flat in the city, then you should look for a smaller dog.
If they are puppies then you don't have to pay much (f.e. cheese, milk, some sausages, go to the doctor - like 100 dollars, no more; ). If they are growing and moving all day long, they need energy - then you have to pay for good dog food.
My neighbor has one and goes on daily walks with his and he has an 800 sqft apt. He said his dog is so chill as long as you exercise him. I'm thinking of getting one as well.
i would say not .. vizsla's are very very lively and energetic , i recently adopted a dog 9 months old ( vizsla ) that had lived in a flat and didn't get on well .
Thanks for the spelling lesson! however a quick Google using both revealed it is commonly either 'misspelt' or in common use either way. - agree they are great dogs - Thanks :-)

How much exercise does a Viszla need
erehgregrhegrhegr 2 years ago
what?
odracirseraoseia1999 2 years ago
A vizsla needs many attention and time. They are sensitive dogs, and they are moving around all the day long, because they are hunting/pointer dogs.
If you don't have enough time, then is a vizsla not good idea.
My vizsla needs a day at least 3 hours of exercise, or an hour for swimming.

True indeed, i had a weimaraner. Not a viszla i know but very alike, also a pointer/hunting dog, and he had the energy of a duracell bunny.
Took him out 3 times a day. The second time being a 3 hour walk where i was on a bike :p

How much exercise does a Viszla need? Would he/she be happy in an apartment?
odracirseraoseia1999 3 years ago
We had one for years. They are bred as gundogs, and need lots of space, and hours of exercise a day to be happy.
