  • no it plastic welding will not work, need to drain the fuel out of the tank and remove the ALL!! fumes with air and let it sit for a day or so and then have it metal welded.

  • Could I do this on a gas tank?

  • Great man thanks :D

  • Hm, this sounds great, but aren't the fumes toxic?

  • @ChristianBomb do it in a well ventilated area and you will be fine. or if your really worried wear a mask

  • Wow. Pretty cool. My projects are most all plastic tubing and PVC. Trying to get any glue to hold the parts together is almost impossible. I think the weld technique will be my best shot at getting these parts to hold together best. Thanks for the video.

  • sniffff!!!!!!

  • that is a dash.. 88-94 chevy full-size truck if I'm not mistaken

  • better than the $700 for a plastic welding kit

  • Hey man great vid!! That's about the best technique I've seen on the budget I have.lol Thanks so much!

  • Actually this is plastic fusing. =/ Still cool though.

  • The epoxy as 3000 psi thats pretty good i think, more then welding it back. so it all depends on the area that is cracked hope that helps.

  • would the weld be strong enough without the apoxy?

  • yes it is, also permatek makes a 2 part expoxy that works very good too.

  • This is really amazing. Usually when I break plastic pieces off in my car I buy new one's to replace. This is much better and gives you satisfaction as well. Thanks for posting !

  • yes!! this one was cracked on the outside

  • will this fix cracked dashboards? Thank you.

  • You do so many things! A man of many talents.
