  • Here are the celebs that appear in the first promo: Sal Viscuso Robert Urich (of ABC's "S.W.A.T., "Tabitha" and "Vega$") Linda Kelsey ( of CBS's "Lou Grant") Jack Klugman (of ABC's "The Odd Couple" and NBC's "Quincy M.E." Anne Meara, Jerry Stiller's wife Lois Nettleton Kate Jackson (of "Charlie's Angels") Penny Marshall (actress, movie director, and star of "Laverne & Shirley") Tony Danza (of "Taxi" and "Who's The Boss") and Mike Farrell & Loretta Swit (of CBS's M*A*S*H)
  • I agree! The $20K Pyramid was packed with action, suspense, thrills and chills, nerves, well known celebrities, need I say more?

  • That's the late Ernie Anderson. he was the announcer for AFHV.

  • Who is that narrator? Isn't he on openings of various cartoons too?

  • The first guy was about to WRAP HIS LEGS around the celeb. Looked kinda kinky

  • Right? Like... show us how excited you REALLY are... LOL!! Jk...

  • I love how the second promo parodies a soap opera commercial...hearing Ernie Anderson's voice is just icing on the cake!

  • Anyone actually have a full $20,000 Pyramid epi with Susan Lucci? Thanks.

  • I have an episode with Susan Lucci. I think it's the Monday episode in 1979 when Jackie Cowan finally lost and left the show with $3,050.

  • @richie19190 Can you post it if you can, please?

  • @tyrese3745 I can but the copy is on VHS and it is in my storage closet in my apartment along with 200 other VHS tapes. If I can find it, I will put it on DVD and post it. I have another one where Jackie comes within seconds from winning $20,000 on Things that are designed.

  • LMAO.... Nothin' like two grown Italian guys damn near wrestling each other after a $10,000 victory... XD (0:07-0:10).

  • OMG that was hysterical! LOL

  • Just one thing, though. I think this first promo is from 1979 instead of '78. The reason why is that I saw Tony Danza flash by during the promo, and his first appearance on the show wasnt until early 1979. Just thought I'd tell ya. :-)

  • thanks for the clarification!

  • The first promo, I've been apprised, was V/O'd by Dick Tufeld.

  • :a game show" as a clue for things you cheat on. How nice :)

  • That guy spent too much time staring at B&Es 50s shows, apparently. :-)

  • How do you find these? This is awesome!! :D

  • I was so lucky to get these as a bonus from an early tape trade. :)
