@Onyxflames59 I think it does. The Gillespie House was originally meant to be a part of the (non-"nowhere") game back when they were still making a two-main-character game (Harry or Cybil). Same reason Harry says strange things about the Glucose and Distilled Water non-items in the school, and other things in the intro vid aren't seen in the game either (i.e. Dahlia running through that place with lots of green). They gave up on the "Cybil adventure" but left in some remnants of it.

@JaneAlanaRoss Quite a shame they didn't add a scenario for Cybil, The whole White Claudia, Police station, her spotting Alessa in the fog and a few other 'minor' scenes or part of gameplay, It would of been interseting and a bit more insightful to the greusome mysteries of Silent Hill

@Onyxflames59 Yeah. Basically, all those pink-highlighted buildings on the map that weren't necessary for Harry's playthrough would've been necessary for Cybil's. I think they basically, at the time, just planned out too much compared to their budget and timescale, and (probably wisely) decided to concentrate on just one character. However, no reason since the series's success that they shouldn't make the SH1 remake everyone's clamouring for - this time including the Cybil playthrough.

When I got this far in the game I was more angry and sad then scared. I felt sorry for all the shit Alessa endured for almost everyone else in her life. Watching this was the very last straw for me.

When this cutscene ended, I was RUNNING down those stairs, seeing red, rife locked and loaded, ranting and raving;

"Run and hide Dahlia, JUST RUN AND HIDE, YOU LITTLE LYING, BACKSTABBING PIECE OF SHIT! THAT WAS YOUR OWN LITTLE GIRL!!"

@1dbad Yes I have, and I love the expansion of the Silent Hill Universe as it were. Have you seen any of the videos from "The Real Silent Hill Experience" by Rosseter Fungo and DerFuzhwar? They are right here on YouTube, providing elaboration on the trivia of Silent Hill and help to sort out the MANY cases of 'Wild-mass-guessing' you find in the games. There is one video in particular that deals with Alessa's sacrifice and suffering in detail.

They're really good, and I really like them and agree with a lot of their points. Also, speaking of Dahlia, have you seen the video where they mention the fire wasn't started by Dahlia, but as an accident by Alessa's powers? What did you think of that as well?

@1dbad To be honest, I thought that it was quite logical for an offering to a Solar deity to be burnt, but death by fire would be a very convenient, (horrifyingly painful), way for an incapacitated Alessa to not only end her life but also utterly destroy the unborn god within herself.

TwinPerfect speculated that the ritual to impregnate her with God must've stressed her out so much that her powers started acting out at random and just randomly hit the boiler, and caused the whole fire by accident.
