Love this resort! but dont even think getting on a motorbike to go to lonely beach when weather is like this, i did and tore all my ligaments in my left knee and had to be taken to bkk, end of holiday. i´ll be back soon tho, koh chang is the best, regardless of weather!
I was there when it happend. but this is nothing compared to what happend one hour before this. motorcykles was almost floating out and in to the sea thru the hotels restaurant..
There used to be natural rivers into the sea, I think they were built on!

It happened on 30 september 2006. It was raining all night en all the water came down from the mountains

Happens several times most years-and all over Thailand.There's no way the storm drains can cope with monsoon type rains such as this.
