  • Shes adorable! And talented with that little ball :)

  • She's adorable.

  • i think that kids that are 3.5 years old who have autism and kids ages 4-9 who also have autism are almost naked and they ware just a diaper because they don't like the texture of chothes on their skin

  • i'm thinking that rissa was 3.5 years old in this video

  • @unusualangel2001 hi i was just wondering, has she learned to speak at all. my son is clearly autistic and i am worried to death i will never get to speak to my son. he acts very similar to your daughter. he can utter only a few words and barely interacts with people although he does like to be hugged and played with. i don't know how to handle all this. im just worried beyond belief about my son and his future.

  • She is sooooooo cute. Just wanna pick her up,ticlke her and listen to her laugh. Thanks fot posting. This was very uplifting to me.

  • Oh MY ... memories... we had the SAME toy... over and over and over lol... Its amazing how many similarities I see in other kids who are autistic. My 7yo son is Aspie. Spinning wheels, spinning himself, spinning a ball..... nothing else is quite as calming. Enjoy your precious gift, shes gorgeous :D

  • god bless her. she's so big and cute. May she continue to grow strong and healthy. ur doing a great job

  • Wow! She has a looong hair....she´s so cute. Congrutatulation for your beautiful girl ^^

  • Just like my Gracie! She loves her Fridge DJ.

  • my daughter had one of those backyardagains radio and i hated that thing lol

    My daughter also has Autism

  • I watch a Autistic girl (12) sometimes and she still does things like this. She likes repetition. She says things that she apparently used to listen to over and over again in the past. So this is a learning experience too as well as entertainment. They absorb things like sponges but still enjoy them.

  • my daughter is borderline adhd and pdd-nos. we finally got her potty trained about 3.5 years of age. our biggest problem is her hyperactivity and impulse behavior. her speech is coming around and does not stimm so much anymore. since she has turned 4 her biggiest issue is that now that she tries to talk she has no volume control and gets very frustrated and throws a fit when she is not understood. so i hope things are going better for your daughter! either way she looks happy!

  • my 9 year old son is autistic and has lots of stims...i always try to distract him, and not to allow him to do it....usually tickles will take him "out" of wherever he is for a little while...the more time they are allowed to stim, the less opportunity for learning...

stimming at 3 or 4 is cute. It's not so cute at 20

  • I agree that people with zero knowledge on a subject should not bother commenting. Some people just have a nee to be nasty and judgemental, it stops them from facing the truth about themselves and their lives....

  • ya she def has some type of autism

  • Note how marissa does not respond to her name. Most obvious sign of autism. She is also playing the same song over and over. The fiddling with the ball is also small sign. She is also not talking when she should.

  • True, most autistic kids are late in potty training, our autistic son was still in diapers at 5 in the daytime

  • plz , can anyone tell me, why most of theese cute kids with autism are almost naked?...

    she´s so sweet...

  • Because a lot of them do not like the texture of clothes on their skin. My daughter at this time was happiest naked since she had a lot of sensory issues. As shes gotten older and with therapy she doesn't mind being clothed but still prefers to be naked...lol

  • I think a lot of little kids run around almost naked a lot of the time. Constantly clothed kids are the exception.

  • @GuacamoleKun Try some soft cotton cloths not polyester man make fabric shit.

  • @roxerka most ASD kids are sensitive to touch, so imagen the tag in your shirt itching your neck except the whole shirt is the tag and its itchy all over.

  • @roxerka because they can not take the feeling of clothes even a hug from mummy.

  • Great girl!

  • Obviously people on youtube are either ignorant, or perhaps adolescents who's parents need to watch them more??? Jeez. Get a hobby. If you knew anything about autism you would know that some autistic children don't potty train until later. Stupid.

  • Can I come and play ball with you? :D

    ~Cindy! :)

    ..

  • Me wanna play too. :D

  • She sure knows what buttons do what on the radio thing! :D And how she controls that ball is *AMAZIN*! *I* couldn't even do it, and I'm... alot older than she is! :D

    ~Cindy! :)

    ..

  • That control with the ball is AMAZING! She is Amazing! What a blessing!

  • wow. how do you stand the repetition of these small fragments? when my son was learning how to sample (taking a few beats from a popular song and repeating them) I thought I'd go nuts.

  • She is very sweet. I think she shows a great ability to multi task, I have ADD and this reminds me of something I don't do well. for example, I'll be in the car with my boyfriend and I'll go through the channels on the radio I'll stop for some reason like I'm listening to him talk and I won't realize an annoying song is on and he will stop mid sentence and say why are we listening to this? I had not even noticed since I was so focused on the conversation.

  • shes cute! reminds me of my son. :)

  • It's actually very socially aware to ignore someone when you're concentrating and they call you monkey-butt ;)

She hits the button the most consistently to stop the section of music that is the most irritating. I noticed how annoying that section of music was right before she started making faces and stopping it (by hitting the button and making it restart to a different section.) Great fine motor control! and such a cutie. :)

  • Other than calling her name, what methods do you use to draw her out of her world? I would hide the toys my son kept pressing buttons on while he ran in circles. Have you tried spinning with her? Or spinning her around on something that spins, like a chair or Sit-N-spin?

  • Yes, we do all the things you mentioned and more :)

  • Did anyone else note the control mastery of the ball? This isn't just from practice as a toddler. Also note she rewinds to talking parts rather than singing. She is high functioning in her own right. She hears her name as do other children with autism but chooses not to respond. She is connected to this world though finds it overwhelming and this video shows her means of escape. She is present enough for a concentrated spiritual connection program. A very influential being; scientist, leader...?

  • wonderful video and a wonderful girl! our son silas is 3 and a half and is in the process of being diagnosed..we are collecting videos to take with us to our next visit.

  • I love her!!!! She is so cute!

  • How fun. She is cute.

  • She is so cute!
