  • hey, ive been searching for laurie say's songs on you tube off and on for ages, can you put the other songs up ? they should get famous!

  • Nice to see so many views on this song, written by Lauri Say (my Dad) and his friend; it's worth pointing out to those who reckon this song should be used for Southern Vectis adverts, this song is written ironically-Southern Vectis actually invited him to do some stuff with them in the 60's, including singing this on the top deck of a SV bus while they filmed him. He once told me it was a great laugh, and he found the extent to which they missed the point hilarious. RIP Dad, Oct 8th,2010 X

  • thanks for posting this..i paid a visit to the island in 1972 i think, and heard the ep with some other songs. It sticks in the mind, somehow!

  • hahaha..."you know there'll be another one tomorrow afternoon!" LOLOLOL...I grew up in Porchfield and my folks live in Shalfleet. I know the accuracy of that line! People where I live now don't believe me. Thanks for the chuckles. :))

I only get the chance to ride the Southern Vectis buses a few times a year (i'm a frequent visitor to the island), but I have to say the vestic buses are much better than the ones in Brum!!
