Just got my xps 1530. I can play fallout 3, world in conflict and company of heroes just fine. Then I bought GTA IV. Slow frame rates and plays like crap on lowest settings.
I haven't seen the LG panel, but the LED backlit one I have now is really, really good. Very bright and crisp. It's always the first thing people notice when they see the laptop.
are specs worth getting? im going to get this laptop but i'm not sure if i should add in some specs. Is the performance/graphics alot better with specs?
The speakers are pretty bad. I got used to their crappiness after a while and it doesn't bother me since I have it plugged into a pretty good speaker system. The sound in this vid is with the built-in speakers though. The sound from the speakers is way worse than my old hp dv6500t.
How does TF2 run on this?

Got mine in Sep 2008, and still love it. The M1530 is bad ass! Have not had an ounce of trouble with it

I'm using Same laptop and i run EP2 On Max settings with 250 FPS ... or even more sometimes.

Learn about game capturing programms like fraps.
Filming screen is not funny at all and make your expensive laptop look pointless - picture of the screen doesn't impress at all. Though it should)))

I think he knows about FRAPS, considering it's running in the video (you can see the FPS display on the top-left of the laptop screen).

I don't have an exact number, but it's usually around 40-50 fps, rarely dropping into the high 30s
