Senators, this was not a national referendum for you to continue with your toliet politics either. A seat at the table? Come to my house for dinner, to the house I am on the verge of loosing. Because I lost my job and my retirement. The first president I had the honor to vote for was Ronald Regan. Senators, you are not Ronald Regan. Your lack of leadership to this republic is disgusting.
Partisanship is ruining all decision making processes and diluting congress like kool aid.. Why can't the pharmaceutical companies give back to the medical industry? Tax all rx drugs sold in America.. Or I have a better idea, cut back on military spending 100 percent for about 50 years! Why does the working class have to give away what little they earn? To pay who's deficit? Certainly not mine because I don't belong to America Inc. Shame on America for it's fascist lobbying and corporate agenda
I agree we should spend on defense. But not in the trillions. Besides this spending is being used offensively. As you know the war is not here in the U.S. so we aren't defending our country we're attacking others. We went into Iraq searching for "WMD's" and found nothing. So explain to me what we are still doing there? Why are be moving into Pakistan? Before we know it Iran will be involved in this mess.
I woud rather be fighting Al Queda over there than for them to bring the fight here. Those WMD's are suspected to be in Syria or buried in the desert. Al Queda is also suspected to be hiding in Pakistan and Iran has been involved through insurgency. Obama promised to get us out but I think he is getting us deeper into this mess.
You're missing the bigger picture though. We seem to still be fighting a war on "terror" and that 9/11 is almost 10 years old now. Do you think we are fighting against Osama still? I fear what were witnessing is an unlawful use of our military to secure "cooperative democracy" in these middle eastern areas. And by democracy I mean corporate machine for U.S. control. Bush struck first (or retaliated if you prefer) without a declaration of war from congress.
