i have one too great camcorder its really good out doors not so much in doors but if you have good lighting you can get away with it . it all so dosent cost that much for a HD camcorder!

The only thing that bugs me about it is that it's almost useless at night.

Day time shots turn out great. It's all up to post-editing in my opinion.

I'll answer that one I just bought the Sony HDR-XR500V Full HD And My comp is a Dual Core with 4gb of ram and It lags my computer like hell so I tried it out on my step dads computer which is Quad core and It's ALOT smoother.. I even shut all the programs I wasn't using to see if it would help and my computer just lagged like crazy till It was Finished editing.

you say it doesnt show a big dinosaur battery..but your eventually gonna need a big dinosaur battery lol the hd zooming in and out will drain your stock battery quiick! i had to upgrade
