Senator McCain is completely out of touch with today's military. Not to mention that military policy is never set by ask the service members what they want to do. The civilian and military commanders set the mission, and the military accomplishes it. Period. End of story.

@bigjstokes An incredible naive analogy. There is a stark difference between a soldiers duty to follow his orders and a commanders duty to the morale of the troops under his command. When the soldier fulfills his duty it's called Service. When a commander fulfills his duty it's called Leadership.
See, asking "what is McCain talking about" you made it known you're ignorant on the subject of leadership. But the naive analogy came from your mistrust of republicans and your loyalty to politics.

You don't have a referendum before you desegregate and allow people to openly serve or be present simply b/c a few don't like it. Did we have a referendum of all white people before we passed the CRA? NO! That would be insane. Did we do a referendum of whites before the bracero program start? NO
