This is so fail. lol omg i got a little bruise. and none of these 'moves' would ever work. just being a marine doesnt make you tough. this is kinda silly
@jagsfan23 Because punching, kicking, and takedowns don't work in a fight, and muscle building certainly wouldn't make you hit harder....I'd like to see what kind of moves you would use in a fight
@03AlexUSMC this type of punching kicking and takedowns dont work in a street fight. Noone is gonna stand there and let you take them down. and noone is gonna throw a punch slowly exactly where your expecting it. and someone cant learn and master any type of martial arts in a month or two. also ive been taking mixed martial arts for about 10 years since i was 11. so i would like to see what you would do in a fight...
@03AlexUSMC this type of punching kicking and takedowns dont work in a street fight. @03AlexUSMC you have obviously never even been in a fight, or if you have it was super fail like this video im sure.. No disrespect to the marines in general. im grateful for them. I just dont see how they are any tougher than anyone else. I could shave my head and get a couple military tattooes and say that im tough too.
@jagsfan23 Obviously by acting tough and saying i cant fight your school has a good amount of discipline...
That's not what Marines do though, they go through months of work to become what they are supposed to become this is including more school besides just bootcamp. Obviously you would win in a fight(if your 10 years thing is true) in the ring against a Marine who only knows MCMAP, but if the same Marine fought you in hand to hand combat, strictly to kill you i think he would win
@03AlexUSMC lol im enlisting soon and I've been doing overload training for two years and have seen serious strength gain(hit harder) ,and yes this combat tatics are very efficient in real hand to hand combat, not high school fights.
@fortes97 It has moves from Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Krav Maga, Judo, and a couple others, never got to identify it. Where you'll learn it? You could learn it from a Marine, in boot camp, or in Quantico after you're done with boot camp.
@SierraTangoWhisky95 say that to an israel cammando they are both good dont be bashing krav there are flaws in every martial art and mcmap and krav are almost exactly the same except with different techniques they both teach defense against weapons they both teach ground fighting they both teach striking they both teach throws and takedowns only difference is krav throws in dirty fighting so anyone can use it not just someone whos strong.
sorry dude but your wrong its mixed martial arts but not the ufcs version all of the militarys hand to hand progrom is a combonation of martial arts not just one style
@1212Mrsniper hold up let me try to understand what you wrote, "its mixed martial arts but not the ufc's version" okay the ufc does not have its own VERSION of mma. MMA = MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. "military's hand to hand is a combination of martial arts not just one style" there is no such thing as a "one style" of MMA. Again MMA = MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. if its just one discipline then its not MMA.
@1DemonicBebeGringo how would you have them fight? this is a tried, tested, and effective method of doing hand to hand combat that they have adapted to restrain and kill, whats wrong there?
@NicholasFonville wrong the army doesnt have shit tords marines in anything other than weapons with over stocked gear. other than that we have you by the balls
HOW TO PUT MARINES IN BODY BAGS?, put this gay shit "real combat" i not talking about the ufc or mma! after learning on mcmap, a TRUE MARTIAL ARTIST will quote mcmap is weak-ass shit!
@paladindarknite uh huh...when are you gonna see a "true martial artist" fighting in a full combat load...MCMAP isnt there to turn you into some sort of ninja...its there so you can effectively switch to hand to hand combat in...get this...A COMBAT SITUATION...a true martial artist aint gonna be saying shit anymore once he's had a KA-Bar tickle his intestines
@UnknownSoldier02 but you like it when ill be shoving that k-bar up your ass! yes, any TRUE MARTIAL ARTIST will quote this shit is for pussies! SUCK MY DICK SOLDIER, THAT'S AN ORDER!
@paladindarknite dont let the song title name confuse you...im a Marine not a soldier..and yea, you said that about "true martial artists" already..you obviously dont know shit of what your talking about..typical civilian..i thought i explained the difference between traditional MA and MCMAP...i'd like to see a traditional marital artist take on a black belt Marine while wearing a flak, kevlar, and fighting load...and i'd like to see you go through a gray, maybe even a tan belt training exercise
@UnknownSoldier02 already had, you stupid soula boi, im an ex marine that owns cunts like you in the battlefield! the mcmap couldnt match up my traditional thumb wrestling!
@paladindarknite owns me in the battlefield?...alright...impersonating a military member is a federal crime...i'd watch myself...i dont like getting into these things on the internet cus i like to think i have some maturity...so dont expect another response...good luck to you and your thumb wrestling
@UnknownSoldier02 coming a reserved marine who did his 4years,sure? i got out with my honorable discharge which they were about to take away, now they can take it back, because i wont take that title to the grave!
@paladindarknite you're full of shit...the standard USMC reservist contract is a 6x2 you fucking retard....next time, try a little research...goddamn, i hope the world is lucky enough to have you run that mouth of yours outside the protection of your home...hell, im sure you'd even find some civilians gladly willing to beat your ass
@UnknownSoldier02 you sure its 6x2? hah you both are pretty pathetic. you may not be as bad as the guy impersionating a Reservist, but still immature.
@sipking707 from what my friend who went reserves told me, the standard is 6 years active reserves, 2 years inactive...do you know differently?...if so i'll take the correction...i wont lie, im a junior Marine and probably am a bit more immature than others but i still have pride as a Marine...and if its one thing i cant stand, its people talking shit about the Corps...the only ones with any room for something to say are the people who've gone through it
@picklejarwontopen sure if it was on the other's terms...as in both were unarmed and wore no gear...but whens kung fu gonna help him when we can pick that bitch off from 500 yds away?
This looks mighty impressive. I am currently training in Krav Maga and the one thing that I find appealing in it is that you don't need strength as the moves are simple and just as effective. MCMAP on the other hand seems more suited for soldiers who have the strength to throw opponents and bring them down. I guess thats one aspect where Krav Maga scores over MCMAP.
@legaleagleification You don't need strength to throw someone. If you are trying to muscle them over you, you're doing it wrong. You position them so their body weight brings them down with just a "gentle" (the ju in jujitsu means gentle) pull. Steady and gentle pull is much more effective than yanking at someone, and harder for them to resist against. Strength and endurance in MCMAP are just to endure sustained combat over a period of time or after a long ruck march to the fight.
Hi from Mexico, i saw this on Discovery Channel, it´s a good style, but nothing compared to Israeli Krav magá, seriously, an Israeli Krav magá fighter would kick the ass of a marine in seconds..
Krav magá is very hardcore, maybe the marines should combine their MCMAP with Krav maga..
@Mrgokueldestructor ok dumbass Krav Maga is the Israeli Special Forces....Cant compare anyone or anything to anybodies special forces...so stfu dumb mexican
@TheMarineKid17 Wow, and a 17 year old kid is telling me all this?? ok..
The styles can be compared, and Krav Magá is far better than MCMAP, i´m not telling that MCMAP is bad, just that Krav Magá is better.
BTW, in your picture, i see a Marine wannabe latin kid, too sad you can´t wipe your mexican face, i´m actually from european descent, so i´m the redneck and you´re the beaner here hahaha...
@Mrgokueldestructor and ain't it funny that our regular MCMAP which every Marine goes through in order to get promoted is as hard and more than likely more badass as special operations training. LOL
@nyquildays I´m not telling MCMAP is bad, actually when i saw it on Human weapon i thought it was great, and it is, i just tell that Krav maga is very impressive, i don´t think there´s a better military style than Krav maga, not even MCMAP.
@Mrgokueldestructor We do have techniques in MCMAP that are taken from Krav Maga. And yes Krav Maga is a great discipline. The unit I was in went to Israel and were taught by there instructors.
There is alot discrepencies with MCMAP, in my personal opinon(which should be taken with a grain a salt Im no expert or anything.) If they wanted to improve MCMAP then I would say combine it with Krav Maga and WWII combatives. Intenisfy and more regular training focusing on techinques and execution. Of course the intense physical conditioning shouldn't be cut out either.
@SOGGRAB You start MCMAP the first PT (Physical Training) ,starts out with basic punches, kicks, and chokes.boring stuff,
no you can just "sign up" to black belt with a red tab (Mean you're black belt and can train instructors ).
you have to be a corporal or above to go past green belt in most units so you cant go straight to black immediately, with a little bit of patience though you can get there
@SOGGRAB The opportunity depends on your unit and rank (depending). if you can find a instructor and you have the time, you have the opportunity. Go to the local MCMAP dojo on base, sign up for the next class and standby for a few weeks of pain :)
And i believe most infantry units require infantry Marines to train to at least green belt.
i like how the first thing they show is them running back from boomers course i remember when i looked like that after in those same nasty flaks lol getting my motivated grey belt friday!
and for all of u who say MCMAP is not good in winning a fight its not, its meant as a last resort and to kill. period of course in just a sparring match u cant utilize its full potential
@tex605518 No it's not meant to kill moron. Not killing is one of the reasons it was created. The marines wanted a system that better fit the policing roll they are often in where killing isn't the objective. There isnt one vid on youtube with any marine above a white belt lvl skill wise. That goes for the instructors also. MCMAP=yawn
@tuopvm LOL cuz u know every thing about MCMAP right? and ur totally a marine right? ha no didnt think so. pretty sure youre not a 6th degree black belt and dont know the innerworkings of MCMAP so shut the fuck up about things u dont know about. im a grey belt and can kill u in more ways that u cant count in that little teeny brain of yours. HA MCMAP = yawn? try saying that when ur getting fucked up by a black belt instructor. by the way theres no such belt as a 'white" belt in the marine corps
@tex605518 I said they are equal to a white belt shitbird. I know there isn't a white belt in mccrap. There are no "innerworkings" of mcmap and that's the problem. Every vid I've seen, including the Human Weapon episode and this very vid show it's more about smoking the trainee than drilling technique. It's basically a Taebo class.
No, they are not martial artists, they are Marines. They have guns, knives, bombs, vehecals etc. They don't need to be the best martial artists in the world. This kind of training is what human beings actually need to be good in a WAR, not in a ring. This training does not focus on technique of punches or kicks, it focuses on agression, and trains your mind set that giving up is NOT an option. As an MMA fighter I would KO them in the ring. But in a war I would be killed. Different mind set
@GuamKomudo Wrong. Training guys to attack with blind aggression is not what a military needs to succeed. If these guys tried one of those sloppy knee or arm bars in combat they would probably pu themselves in an even worse position. The don't train them to blindly fire with spray and pray so why would you train them to turn into The Waterboy when it comes to h2h? I know that the primary purpose is confidence building and not turning them into Anderson Silva but if it's a false sense of
@tuopvm : I am not opposing you. But you have to understand one thing. They are getting training not for play or any competition. they are trained to kill only. at the of training the instructor will teach them how to kill your opponent with very first chance. Suppose you are more well trained in h2h combat than a soldier.... but you will think twice before hitting in a sensitive portion of body of your opponent.... but they will not think that. they will try to kill you on first chance.
@nilroyy Another "they are trained to kill only." argument. Watch the Human Weapon episode where they profile mcmap. They clearly state mcmap was created to better suit the policing role the usmc finds itself in more and more where lethal force isn't necessary. MCMAP is not about killing. Just look at the moves. You can't kill with an arm bar. As for hesitating to hit a spot like the balls. Not really. In a life or death situation ppl will do anything. It doesn't take training to eye gouge.
@nilroyy Also, there are many civilian schools and systems that train for just that kind of attack. Look at any womans self defense or rape prevention class, it's all eye gouging, knee strikes etc and if I'm better at h2h I'm probably aware of those attacks and know how to protect myself. In bjj for example if you're clinched with a guy there is a proper way to stand to prevent groin strikes and hide your head so you cant be ht. Not with any real effectiveness at least.
MCMAP could be effective if trained regularly and the techniques taught properly. Every vid I've seen so far and what I've read on it shows that these guys pretty much get a crash course and a good deal of it is just a smoke session. Good for confidence sure. Turning these guys into h2h killing machines like so many marines and their groupies think? Not really.
@GuamKomudo confidence built on oorah bs and hype then it's not good training. As for a different mindset between the cage and war. Not really. The only diff between applying a move like the rnc in the cage or in war is the ref. In either situation the person could be killed. How many fights do guys have to be physically pulled apart because one guy is out and the other is still hitting him? Also if it was war you would have weapons to so no they wouldn't have an advantage.
I'm a MMA fighter and NOT a marine. If what you were saying was true, then why doesn't the strongest Military force on earth, or ANY Military force on earth use MMA to fight in their wars. There are moves in MMA that work in real life, don't get me wrong. And you're wrong, in war the MMA guys would suck at using the weapons, have no knowledge of military tactics, squad movements, overall war strategies etc hand to hand is NOT as important today. MMA = Better fighter, Marine = better skiller
@GuamKomudo You must not be American because you must not get how many gun owners there are in America. You don't need to be a marine to shoot nor is being a good shot that hard of a skill to attain. It's a lot harder to master h2h than shooting. Who said h2h was more important than weapons? The marines obviously think it has some relevance because they're teaching it. News flash guy the average grunt is no Sun Tzu. They aren't tactical geniuses.
@GuamKomudo What are you talking about "then why doesn't the strongest Military force on earth, or ANY Military force on earth use MMA to fight in their wars." Really guy. Yes thats exactly what I'm saying the U.S. should do. Fuck bombs and planes they can bjj their way to victory. There is no martial art called MMA. MMA could be anything from any fighting style. What gym can you go into and say I wanna study mma? Every gym I've seen list what styles they teach whether its bjj and muay thai
@GuamKomudo Karate and Sambo or whatever. There is no set style called mma. And since the mcmap is made up of various style of martial arts guess what? IT"S MMA! There is nothing taught in MCMAP that hasn't been taught in some other style before and no it's not more deadly just because the marines do it. In fact because their technique is so sloppy it's probably less effective. If you can't see the holes in these vids you should really question where you train.
MMA fighters are the best in the world at their game. We own the sport fighting world. and no MCMAP is not "MMA". "MMA" is the sport of Mixed Martial arts (Cage fighting, free fighting etc), not that you can mix any martial art you want and it's MMA, yeah it's literally MIXED martial arts, but not the sport of MMA. Marines kill people, human beings don't fight with their bodys, we've ALWAYS used weapons to kill eachother in war. Marines don't need to be the best fighters, just the best Marines
@GuamKomudo "We own sport fighting". Tell that to the Brazilliansor the Klitschko brothers. Pure nonsense. Yes you can mix any style you want. That's what the UFC was founded on. "We've always used weapons" geez you're an idiot. I'm sure that's why the Shoalin monks developed kung fu, or why the samurai practice various forms of jujutsu or the ancient Greeks had Pamkration and Greco. Do your homework. Done schooling you
YOU are the stupid one... Shaolin monks (spear, sword, glaive, staff etc) Samurai (Katana Naginata, bow, horseback archery etc) The Roman army owned the flippin world, why? NOT PANKRATION, because they used swords, bows, giant shield formations etc. Japanese Jujitsu is based on the fact that humans use weapons... The theory of Jujitsu is one, the enemy is armored, can't punch him, two they have a weapon. You clinch the guy, taking away the effectivness of their WEAPON, then throw them/submit
@GuamKomudo I didn't say they dominated because of h2h moron. I said that they all saw a need to be able to defend themselves when unarmed. And are you that dense that you think none of these guys had to use h2h on the battlefield considering that every one of the weapons you mentioned are melee weapons that require closing the distance with the enemy. I'm pretty sure during those battles ppl lost their weapon from time to time.
@GuamKomudo It's completely stupid of you to try to defend mcmap by saying that the h2h is irrelevant. As I stated before numb nuts if it's not relevant THEN WHY ARE THE MARINES AND ARMY TEACHING IT? Like every military before them they see developing a well rounded warrior includes h2h. You're not in the military and you must train at a mcdojo because you have no idea what you're talking about marine fanboy.
Your problem is you don't argue to understand, you argue to be correct. My point is not that martial arts are not needed in todays wars, it is, but NOT as much as you say. MMA fighters are way better fighters than Marines, why? Because that's what they do, they fight. Marines have more to learn like guns, knives, computers, cordants, missles, how to deal with different situations like clearing a building while suspecting citizens to be inside etc. Marines don't spend 100% of their time on MA
@GuamKomudo Your problem is you can't read. At no point did I compare marines to professional fighter or say that h2h is what they need to win wars. I pointed out the FACT that the techniques displayed in this vid and every other vid I've seen is horrible. Anyone that trains at a reputable school can see the white belt lvl flaws. Point out where I said learning h2h is more important than shooting. I am simply saying if they are going to teach h2h teach it right.
I also stated that I thought mcmap could be effective if they trained regularly and focused more on technique than physically smoking them. Learn to READ the post before commenting.
@GuamKomudo oh and if u wanna know a secret there was 5 ufc fighters that went to see how Marines train and do their MCMAP...and all 5 of them barely got through it.. Marines MCMAP isnt just fighting u have to do obstacles and fight through those as well..and fight with OC spray in ur eyes wich is 10 times worse than pepper spray....so yeah MCMAP is better than the UFC dumbfuck
If you actually read my argument you would know I was on the same side of the argument as you... So stop calling names like a little kid and actually read it before making yourself look like a fool.
@TheMarineKid17 weird how every marine isn't a famous professional fighter if ufc champions aren't as well trained...things you are convinced of in training so you don't hesitate in combat situations are not necessarily true.
@shekone You have to also remember that the things they are trained for is different, there aren't rules in combat, but there are in a UFC match, different strokes for different folks really. I'd bet though that in an actual fight for someone's life a military personnel would in most cases beat a civilian.
@tuopvm Marines train regularly dumbass...ok as you gain rank in the US Marines you also have to build up in the MCMAP program...so if yall dont know shit stfu..seriously...u dont know wtf ur talkin about...dumbass motherfuckers
@tuopvm LOL yes that is true i got slayed every day for just my gray belt but they can also kill u with mcmap I can kill u only with the second level no joke, i wouldnt vouch for it if it wasnt legit im not that much of a MO tard
i like how the first thing they show is them running back from boomers course i remember when i looked like that after in those same nasty flaks lol getting my motivated grey belt friday!
hey im lookin to join the marines but i got 2 felonies when i was 17. Im almost 20 now. They were drug charges and i hear thats hard to get overlooked. Any1 know if i need to just put more time between my charge or is it pretty much a no go for me? I really hope not cuz i did my time and did everything the state asked of me and i love this country and the people in it so much that id die for it no problem
@itsPrivateYam the question is... do YOU realize that mcmap is designed to train the marine how to kill someone in 3 moves or less. they teach you the most effective strikes to neutralize (kill) the threat with the least amount of time and effort because if your out on the battle field wearing 50 pounds of gear in 100+ degree weather then its essential to kill your opponent using the least amount of energy. so yes, they do teach you to win the fight =)
i myself m going to join the marines...but i respecta all forces, seals berrets, navy army airforce...we are all on the same team...want to fight...take it to the taliban.......

@jagsfan23 Because punching, kicking, and takedowns don't work in a fight, and muscle building certainly wouldn't make you hit harder....I'd like to see what kind of moves you would use in a fight
03AlexUSMC 5 months ago
@03AlexUSMC this type of punching kicking and takedowns dont work in a street fight. Noone is gonna stand there and let you take them down. and noone is gonna throw a punch slowly exactly where your expecting it. and someone cant learn and master any type of martial arts in a month or two. also ive been taking mixed martial arts for about 10 years since i was 11. so i would like to see what you would do in a fight...

@03AlexUSMC you have obviously never even been in a fight, or if you have it was super fail like this video im sure.. No disrespect to the marines in general. im grateful for them. I just dont see how they are any tougher than anyone else. I could shave my head and get a couple military tattooes and say that im tough too.
jagsfan23 5 months ago
@jagsfan23 Obviously by acting tough and saying i cant fight your school has a good amount of discipline...
That's not what Marines do though, they go through months of work to become what they are supposed to become this is including more school besides just bootcamp. Obviously you would win in a fight(if your 10 years thing is true) in the ring against a Marine who only knows MCMAP, but if the same Marine fought you in hand to hand combat, strictly to kill you i think he would win

1212Mrsniper 7 months ago
@1212Mrsniper hold up let me try to understand what you wrote, "its mixed martial arts but not the ufc's version" okay the ufc does not have its own VERSION of mma. MMA = MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. "military's hand to hand is a combination of martial arts not just one style" there is no such thing as a "one style" of MMA. Again MMA = MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. if its just one discipline then its not MMA.

This looks mighty impressive. I am currently training in Krav Maga and the one thing that I find appealing in it is that you don't need strength as the moves are simple and just as effective. MCMAP on the other hand seems more suited for soldiers who have the strength to throw opponents and bring them down. I guess thats one aspect where Krav Maga scores over MCMAP.
legaleagleification 9 months ago

Mrgokueldestructor 10 months ago
@Mrgokueldestructor ok dumbass Krav Maga is the Israeli Special Forces....Cant compare anyone or anything to anybodies special forces...so stfu dumb mexican
TheMarineKid17 10 months ago
@TheMarineKid17 Wow, and a 17 year old kid is telling me all this?? ok..
The styles can be compared, and Krav Magá is far better than MCMAP, i´m not telling that MCMAP is bad, just that Krav Magá is better.
BTW, in your picture, i see a Marine wannabe latin kid, too sad you can´t wipe your mexican face, i´m actually from european descent, so i´m the redneck and you´re the beaner here hahaha...

@Mrgokueldestructor MCMAP is newer and more adaptive. Krav Magá might be bad ass but I doubt they could handle MCMAP conditioning.
nyquildays 9 months ago
@nyquildays Well, what i say are just impressions, i don´t assure it, but from what i´ve seen from both styles, i think krav maga is better..
Mrgokueldestructor 9 months ago
@Mrgokueldestructor and ain't it funny that our regular MCMAP which every Marine goes through in order to get promoted is as hard and more than likely more badass as special operations training. LOL
nyquildays 9 months ago
@nyquildays I´m not telling MCMAP is bad, actually when i saw it on Human weapon i thought it was great, and it is, i just tell that Krav maga is very impressive, i don´t think there´s a better military style than Krav maga, not even MCMAP.
Mrgokueldestructor 9 months ago
@Mrgokueldestructor I see your point, but I probably really couldn't comment more unless I were lucky enough to undergo some Krav Maga training.
nyquildays 9 months ago
@Mrgokueldestructor We do have techniques in MCMAP that are taken from Krav Maga. And yes Krav Maga is a great discipline. The unit I was in went to Israel and were taught by there instructors.
Marine5484 7 months ago
@Marine5484 Well i didin´t know that, i´m not telling MCMAP is bad, actually the us marines are badasses, but yeah, krav maga is great..
Mrgokueldestructor 7 months ago
There is alot discrepencies with MCMAP, in my personal opinon(which should be taken with a grain a salt Im no expert or anything.) If they wanted to improve MCMAP then I would say combine it with Krav Maga and WWII combatives. Intenisfy and more regular training focusing on techinques and execution. Of course the intense physical conditioning shouldn't be cut out either.

How does one begin the full MCMAP from boot camp?
can you sign up to train up to the highest (Black?) belt?
Thank you and great video.
SOGGRAB 11 months ago
@SOGGRAB You start MCMAP the first PT (Physical Training) ,starts out with basic punches, kicks, and chokes.boring stuff,
no you can just "sign up" to black belt with a red tab (Mean you're black belt and can train instructors ).
you have to be a corporal or above to go past green belt in most units so you cant go straight to black immediately, with a little bit of patience though you can get there
chargamer 11 months ago
@chargamer I understand that there are prerequisites for each belt.
But what differs between the Infantry marines that stay a Tan belt and just learn the basics and the Infantry Marines that train up to black belt?
How does one receive the opportunity to be trained higher?
That is what I am trying to ask
SOGGRAB 11 months ago
@SOGGRAB The opportunity depends on your unit and rank (depending). if you can find a instructor and you have the time, you have the opportunity. Go to the local MCMAP dojo on base, sign up for the next class and standby for a few weeks of pain :)
And i believe most infantry units require infantry Marines to train to at least green belt.

i like how the first thing they show is them running back from boomers course i remember when i looked like that after in those same nasty flaks lol getting my motivated grey belt friday!
and for all of u who say MCMAP is not good in winning a fight its not, its meant as a last resort and to kill. period of course in just a sparring match u cant utilize its full potential
tex605518 11 months ago
@tex605518 No it's not meant to kill moron. Not killing is one of the reasons it was created. The marines wanted a system that better fit the policing roll they are often in where killing isn't the objective. There isnt one vid on youtube with any marine above a white belt lvl skill wise. That goes for the instructors also. MCMAP=yawn
tuopvm 11 months ago
@tuopvm LOL cuz u know every thing about MCMAP right? and ur totally a marine right? ha no didnt think so. pretty sure youre not a 6th degree black belt and dont know the innerworkings of MCMAP so shut the fuck up about things u dont know about. im a grey belt and can kill u in more ways that u cant count in that little teeny brain of yours. HA MCMAP = yawn? try saying that when ur getting fucked up by a black belt instructor. by the way theres no such belt as a 'white" belt in the marine corps
tex605518 11 months ago
@tex605518 I said they are equal to a white belt shitbird. I know there isn't a white belt in mccrap. There are no "innerworkings" of mcmap and that's the problem. Every vid I've seen, including the Human Weapon episode and this very vid show it's more about smoking the trainee than drilling technique. It's basically a Taebo class.
tuopvm 11 months ago
No, they are not martial artists, they are Marines. They have guns, knives, bombs, vehecals etc. They don't need to be the best martial artists in the world. This kind of training is what human beings actually need to be good in a WAR, not in a ring. This training does not focus on technique of punches or kicks, it focuses on agression, and trains your mind set that giving up is NOT an option. As an MMA fighter I would KO them in the ring. But in a war I would be killed. Different mind set
GuamKomudo 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo Wrong. Training guys to attack with blind aggression is not what a military needs to succeed. If these guys tried one of those sloppy knee or arm bars in combat they would probably pu themselves in an even worse position. The don't train them to blindly fire with spray and pray so why would you train them to turn into The Waterboy when it comes to h2h? I know that the primary purpose is confidence building and not turning them into Anderson Silva but if it's a false sense of
tuopvm 10 months ago
@tuopvm : I am not opposing you. But you have to understand one thing. They are getting training not for play or any competition. they are trained to kill only. at the of training the instructor will teach them how to kill your opponent with very first chance. Suppose you are more well trained in h2h combat than a soldier.... but you will think twice before hitting in a sensitive portion of body of your opponent.... but they will not think that. they will try to kill you on first chance.
nilroyy 10 months ago
@nilroyy Another "they are trained to kill only." argument. Watch the Human Weapon episode where they profile mcmap. They clearly state mcmap was created to better suit the policing role the usmc finds itself in more and more where lethal force isn't necessary. MCMAP is not about killing. Just look at the moves. You can't kill with an arm bar. As for hesitating to hit a spot like the balls. Not really. In a life or death situation ppl will do anything. It doesn't take training to eye gouge.
tuopvm 10 months ago
@nilroyy Also, there are many civilian schools and systems that train for just that kind of attack. Look at any womans self defense or rape prevention class, it's all eye gouging, knee strikes etc and if I'm better at h2h I'm probably aware of those attacks and know how to protect myself. In bjj for example if you're clinched with a guy there is a proper way to stand to prevent groin strikes and hide your head so you cant be ht. Not with any real effectiveness at least.
tuopvm 10 months ago
MCMAP could be effective if trained regularly and the techniques taught properly. Every vid I've seen so far and what I've read on it shows that these guys pretty much get a crash course and a good deal of it is just a smoke session. Good for confidence sure. Turning these guys into h2h killing machines like so many marines and their groupies think? Not really.
tuopvm 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo confidence built on oorah bs and hype then it's not good training. As for a different mindset between the cage and war. Not really. The only diff between applying a move like the rnc in the cage or in war is the ref. In either situation the person could be killed. How many fights do guys have to be physically pulled apart because one guy is out and the other is still hitting him? Also if it was war you would have weapons to so no they wouldn't have an advantage.
tuopvm 10 months ago
I'm a MMA fighter and NOT a marine. If what you were saying was true, then why doesn't the strongest Military force on earth, or ANY Military force on earth use MMA to fight in their wars. There are moves in MMA that work in real life, don't get me wrong. And you're wrong, in war the MMA guys would suck at using the weapons, have no knowledge of military tactics, squad movements, overall war strategies etc hand to hand is NOT as important today. MMA = Better fighter, Marine = better skiller
GuamKomudo 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo You must not be American because you must not get how many gun owners there are in America. You don't need to be a marine to shoot nor is being a good shot that hard of a skill to attain. It's a lot harder to master h2h than shooting. Who said h2h was more important than weapons? The marines obviously think it has some relevance because they're teaching it. News flash guy the average grunt is no Sun Tzu. They aren't tactical geniuses.
tuopvm 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo What are you talking about "then why doesn't the strongest Military force on earth, or ANY Military force on earth use MMA to fight in their wars." Really guy. Yes thats exactly what I'm saying the U.S. should do. Fuck bombs and planes they can bjj their way to victory. There is no martial art called MMA. MMA could be anything from any fighting style. What gym can you go into and say I wanna study mma? Every gym I've seen list what styles they teach whether its bjj and muay thai
tuopvm 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo Karate and Sambo or whatever. There is no set style called mma. And since the mcmap is made up of various style of martial arts guess what? IT"S MMA! There is nothing taught in MCMAP that hasn't been taught in some other style before and no it's not more deadly just because the marines do it. In fact because their technique is so sloppy it's probably less effective. If you can't see the holes in these vids you should really question where you train.
tuopvm 10 months ago
MMA fighters are the best in the world at their game. We own the sport fighting world. and no MCMAP is not "MMA". "MMA" is the sport of Mixed Martial arts (Cage fighting, free fighting etc), not that you can mix any martial art you want and it's MMA, yeah it's literally MIXED martial arts, but not the sport of MMA. Marines kill people, human beings don't fight with their bodys, we've ALWAYS used weapons to kill eachother in war. Marines don't need to be the best fighters, just the best Marines
GuamKomudo 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo "We own sport fighting". Tell that to the Brazilliansor the Klitschko brothers. Pure nonsense. Yes you can mix any style you want. That's what the UFC was founded on. "We've always used weapons" geez you're an idiot. I'm sure that's why the Shoalin monks developed kung fu, or why the samurai practice various forms of jujutsu or the ancient Greeks had Pamkration and Greco. Do your homework. Done schooling you
tuopvm 10 months ago
YOU are the stupid one... Shaolin monks (spear, sword, glaive, staff etc) Samurai (Katana Naginata, bow, horseback archery etc) The Roman army owned the flippin world, why? NOT PANKRATION, because they used swords, bows, giant shield formations etc. Japanese Jujitsu is based on the fact that humans use weapons... The theory of Jujitsu is one, the enemy is armored, can't punch him, two they have a weapon. You clinch the guy, taking away the effectivness of their WEAPON, then throw them/submit
GuamKomudo 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo I didn't say they dominated because of h2h moron. I said that they all saw a need to be able to defend themselves when unarmed. And are you that dense that you think none of these guys had to use h2h on the battlefield considering that every one of the weapons you mentioned are melee weapons that require closing the distance with the enemy. I'm pretty sure during those battles ppl lost their weapon from time to time.
tuopvm 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo It's completely stupid of you to try to defend mcmap by saying that the h2h is irrelevant. As I stated before numb nuts if it's not relevant THEN WHY ARE THE MARINES AND ARMY TEACHING IT? Like every military before them they see developing a well rounded warrior includes h2h. You're not in the military and you must train at a mcdojo because you have no idea what you're talking about marine fanboy.
tuopvm 10 months ago
Your problem is you don't argue to understand, you argue to be correct. My point is not that martial arts are not needed in todays wars, it is, but NOT as much as you say. MMA fighters are way better fighters than Marines, why? Because that's what they do, they fight. Marines have more to learn like guns, knives, computers, cordants, missles, how to deal with different situations like clearing a building while suspecting citizens to be inside etc. Marines don't spend 100% of their time on MA
GuamKomudo 10 months ago
@GuamKomudo Your problem is you can't read. At no point did I compare marines to professional fighter or say that h2h is what they need to win wars. I pointed out the FACT that the techniques displayed in this vid and every other vid I've seen is horrible. Anyone that trains at a reputable school can see the white belt lvl flaws. Point out where I said learning h2h is more important than shooting. I am simply saying if they are going to teach h2h teach it right.
tuopvm 10 months ago
I also stated that I thought mcmap could be effective if they trained regularly and focused more on technique than physically smoking them. Learn to READ the post before commenting.

@GuamKomudo oh and if u wanna know a secret there was 5 ufc fighters that went to see how Marines train and do their MCMAP...and all 5 of them barely got through it.. @shekone You have to also remember that the things they are trained for is different, there aren't rules in combat, but there are in a UFC match, different strokes for different folks really. hey im lookin to join the marines but i got 2 felonies when i was 17.
