@someone7127 There are some who even use them underwater. In my experience, PF stuff is quite water resistant. However, do it at your own risk. I wouldn't recommend it.
@LegoTubeMan Quite hard to calculate. If you were to order all the parts separately online using bricklink, you'd have to spend around $300-400, but that's only a guess. If you already have a good technic collection and you're not really worried about color and looks, you may already be able to build a functional copy.
@SuperDude5544 Below the video, there's the video description. It has a link, right after the word 'pictures'. On these 'pictures' you can see how things are built.
@dars267 Below the video, there's the video description. It has a link, right after the word 'pictures'. On these 'pictures' you can see how things are built.
@mahj quite probably. The wheels gradually work their way off the axles, allowing the parts they would otherwise hold together to separate. Mine also has no support on the outer end of the axles, which needs fixing. Fitting the large battery boxes in is not fun, but 42.99 for a rechargeable pack is absolutely insane!
@mahj Sorry, mahj, I haven't fully explained the YouTube UI to my 8 y.o. son, who posed the question. I'll rectify that first thing in the morning :-)
Um You Know...If You Are Going To Use Or Create Something From a Thing Like Metal Slug,Well You Should Put A Metal Slug Theme There (Just A Suggestion) ^ ^
...Oh wow. I looked at your flickr page. You did this WITH TWO MOTORS?! :D
Wicked design.
So I assume... with timing and momentum is how you pulled off the pirouettes. However, I assume then that this tank can't move laterally? Also, turning seems complex too.
@legotechnic27 Hij zou iets meer kunnen slippen als je naar voren rijdt (zijwaarts slippen doet-ie sowieso al) en zonder dempend rubber zou het ding iets schokkeriger kunnen gaan/iets meer herrie maken.
How smooth are the omni directional wheels at speed? Personally I'm going to spend this weekend having a go at building some of the wheels you have used :-)
Metal Grudge is great inspiration. I hope to build something half as cool soonish. You have made my day a lot brighter and given me a lot to think about.
@pieterkraamw It doesn't have more maneuverability than what's shown in this video. The tank has nothing to do with Star Wars; it's inspired by the 'Metal Slug' tank from the game series with the same name.
@pieterkraamw yeah, the coulour scheme does kind of look like star wars...things. With the dark red and light bley. You sure made good use of those bley quarter-cylinders from TLG, eh?
@chazzers77 The music is 'Judge Holden' by Daniel Bautista. It says so right there in the description of the video, and it's the first thing mentioned in the credits at the end.
@bubinasuit Below the video there's a text field with information about the vid. It starts with 'Pictures:' and after that there's a link. Click that link.
