  • This is sad I mean look at their fins this is caused by them having to swim in small circles around their tank instead if being able to swim around as much as they want in the wild

And what do they get for doing a trick; a sardine

    Seriously how would you feel?

  • Everything was fine but the dude said and ruined it by " ohhh look two Killa whales " haha

  • Love this video. So great to see them so close by. The big one is Ulises and the small one is Kalia by the way.

  • Look!! It's Kako's twin brother!!! Lol...

  • @kungfuhiyahba u are right about not releasing them and people tilly was playing like a whale would not like a human would so yes it is very sad and all but he didn't mean it! i saw a show a few days ago and he was fine and they have now told all female trainers to wear a bun instead of a pony tail!so give him and all other whales a break

  • This might be a retarded question, but i've always wondered why these parks like sea world doesn't build larger tank.. Does any1 know?

Is it to expensive or is it harder to control the orcas if they have wider spaces?

Sry for my retarded english lol

  • You don’t have to be some ‘animal rights’ extremist to recognise that this is so, so wrong.

  • @Kunfuhiyahba Being trapped in a tank that is barely 10 times the size of yourself, and sometimes even smaller? With another orca?!

    1. In the wild, orcas travel in groups of AT LEAST 20- their family. having one other companion does not suffice to what they are meant to have in the wild.

    2. Hardly any orcas have been successfully bred in captivity. most calves have died in less than a year. And yet male orcas are continuously used as sperm banks.

I could go on, but Youtube won't let me.

  • @Mad1IsaPenguin Yeah actually the tanks can hold up to 10 orcas at a time. There are four tanks. So 40 orcas could live at sea world. There are less then 10 per park and only a few or just one orca at a time, per tank.

  • is it me or did that whale take a green crap in the water?

  • And also, You see Killer whales jump in the wild all the time, obviously they love to do it... It comes natural to them..

  • tilly is it? well justin bieber should visit sea world so tilly can kill him too!

  • THE ONE with the bended fin is tilly the one who killed the woman tilly is her nickname

  • @junecholo Actually Tilly is a male.

  • @junecholo Um Tilly is not even in this Sea World he is in SWoF Not Sea World San Diego. Tilly is a boy! The orca with the bent dorsal fin is actually Ulises! :)

  • I love SeaWorld! I can't wait to visit again in July and see all my favorite whales!

  • To give perspective, Tilikum's (the whale who recently killed his trainer) dorsal fin is taller then I am. These are massive, wild animals. There is no way they "enjoy" living in a bathtub. Unfortunately, no, the ones born in captivity could never be freed. They wouldn't know how to live. Heck, some captive born whales drown their young cause they have no idea what to do with them. Maybe that's a sign to discontinue the breeding programs.

  • rlly y cant they b free?

  • @facinelli3944 you free these whales and they die, they have been in captivity for far too long...

  • I'd rather them take them from the wild. They have nothing to do if they hate them. Just try to not let them be in shows. Don't teach them tricks first of all. Let them swim around and let them do what a normal usually does

  • @darthd101 The tricks provide the excercise they would have gotten in the wild. Without the stimulation from the training sessions and the playtime sessions, they would be bored, and if a whale becomes bored, it could also become frustrated and that would not go well. The only reason they teach tricks is to show the public how amazing these animals are and the bond we can have with them if we try, and to provide excersize and stimulation for the animal's mind.

  • @shamurocks1395 Dude you can show how beatiful they are without tricks. I mean whats the point of keep making shamu do his tricks after hes eatten the trainers? There acting like idiots

  • That bird is better entertainment than the whales :)

  • And NO sea World is NOT sing these animals for money for themselves, its to help conservation efforts to help save and protect endagered species, the oil spill animals and also to help continue care for all the animals in their park.

  • make sure the whales dont get bored and tired of doing shows all day. they get breaks, and have loving trainers and fans who love them. so all the anti-captivity people need to shush up, Sea World is the greatest Place on earth <3

  • And the others have been in captivity too long to go back. Next, yes the fish they eat are small but they get MANY MANY fish throughout the day, between all the shows, and during the shows. They get 3 different types of fish, fish jello, flavorless jello, and special treats on the hoilidays. these animals are very well cared for. Im Jealous. If the whales arent in the mood to perform then they dont perform. they enjoy it and they have fun. they switch different whales, per show or per day to

  • Actually you'd be suprised, Killer Whales(orcas) enjoy humans. They don't mind the size of their tanks but who lives in the tanks with them. As long as they are occupied with friends, and toys they will be fine. And for all yo idiots who keep saying Free the whales. STOP. free these whales and they die. Most of sea worlds current whales have been born into captiviy, they wouldnt have a clue as of what to do out there.

  • @Kungfuhiyahba finally someone with a brain in their head

  • @Kungfuhiyahba Oh my goodness, a person with common sense.

  • @Kungfuhiyahba

    Finally someone understands lol!!

  • @Kungfuhiyahba finally someone else knows the danger of them being released!!! i hate having to tell everyone

  • @agluva4ever Yeah, I love telling people because then they are oh well.... and they try to think of some other stupid argument... Haha.

  • @Kungfuhiyahba haha

  • haha! splash me! yay!!

  • I love Ulises fluke it is so cute

  • this tank is much better then seaworld japan.

  • i think its wrong taking them from their home and training them and for teh rest of their life this is the only thing they will be able to see, a small tank and a whole bunch of ppl clapping and making noise all around them, but when they are breed here this is all they kno they cnt just be thrown bak in the ocean they'll just die

  • @tigrito1277 i do think the same that its wrong to take them from their habitat but if they are orn there than its a different story. but i do believe that if a animal is really sick and needs help then its okay to have it in captivity too so it can get medical attention and most of the time they free them back into the ocean.. have you ever heard of the sea world jj whale story? its so heart warming :)

  • wow 0.O

  • @laixel sea world has absolutely nothing to do with the captures neither do any places in the US seeing as how its illegal to buy or capture marine animals in the US. All their animals are born into captivity sea world has not bought a animal in 20-30 some years. Sometimes its hard to judge a story when you only hear one side.

  • Actually half of these tricks they do, is what they normally do in the wild. Some actually beach them selves to get seals on the shore. That little jumping on the plateform thing, is what they do in the wild. They do jump in the wild a lot more than people think. when they go to kill seals they swing them around in the air, like its a game. Iv been studying animals my whole life, and one day i will become a sea world trainer.

  • @horsesoccergirl22

And then youll be drowned just like this lady.

  • @horsesoccergirl22 thank you! finally someone makes sense!!!! :D

  • no wonder they drown their trainers jees they shouldn't be in captivity like that

  • @megs675 I agree they should be not be in captivity. I love how everyone was surprised when the whale killed the trainer not to long ago.....Hello SeaWorld the animals is actually called a KILLER whale, where's the surprise? But now I am sure that the whale will be put down sheesh

  • @RealLifeDebbie they are keeping the whale..theres a vid on here with the news cast of them saying it also u can prob google a new report syaing they will be keeping the whale.

  • @RealLifeDebbie umm they are keeping tilikum they would never put him down. this wasnt a act of violence it was a act of the biggest one they have with whom know one was alouded in the water with played with her ponytail like a toy which drowned her.

  • Well it is actually from a guy who calls himself the Radical Ryushin. There are some suspecting he is the return of the "true" messiah.

  • LMFAO

LUK AT DAT. TWO KILLA WEYLS!

  • the music itself is terrible

  • Ahhhhhhhh how cute baby shamu spoke how cute I really like it and the move that baby shamu did.

  • Ulises and Nakai! Haha, Nakai is a bad singer ^^ but he's so cute!

  • There soo Beautiful,,,

  • i luv sea animals

  • id say free willy! obviously these wales are wild and should be keep in the natural habitat.

if a great white shark did it , i wonder what they will do?

  • hey shut the fuck up u spick i mean whales belong in the wild but ur the ones comin to see them fuck off

  • A blamage for amerika. This place....is not good for the whales. Tha orkas and tilikum have this problem 21....22 years.

  • @criticwithadegree you are totally right !!!

and in this video, the trainer was alive 5 mins before she died :(

and its not the first time this "orca" (or killer whale) killed humans. on 1999 and 1996 i think

so yeah shud have been done by then. killed.

they look angry and mean. with their twisted thing on the top.

  • It's not the whale's fault that humans forced him to live in a tank his entire life. Think of it this way, if monkeys trapped you and put you in a cage and trained you to dance around for money would you be happy? Probably not. So quit complaining.

  • @Sallyallie89 PLEASE SHUT UP YOU ANNOYING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

  • @TheJamiecon How was my comment, from nearly a year ago mind you, annoying? I'm just speaking the truth as I'm sure you already know. Perhaps you would enjoy being raised in a cage and trained to dance around for an audience, but I wouldn't. Nor would a majority of people.

  • @Sallyallie89 Monkeys love to dance sooo....

  • @Kungfuhiyahba You clearly didn't understand my comment at all, did you? What I was saying a year ago (yeah, you're responding to a comment a year old) was how would a human being like it if they were thrown into cages and trained to dance, weather they liked it or not, so that the trainers can make a ton of money? Perhaps you want to be thrown into a cage so your trainer can make thousands of dollars, rather than be free, but no thanks. That's not for me.

  • @Sallyallie89 Haha wow, chill xD. It's like strippers, girls learn to dance, then they dance in a cage so the club can earn money. Or a prostitute, where there pimps force them to have sex so they can have money... Haha, it's just like the real world! And the thing is, like I said, these whales aren't performing for our entertainment, they perform to raise money to save the wildlife, so humans will stop treading in the wild and ruining the habitats with their trash. Is that what you want?

  • @Sallyallie89 Yeah, lets go see the animals in the wild, not the zoo! Lets trample all over the habitats, leave our trash for the poor animals to choke on, take pictures and smile while we pollut it. Face it, this is a much safer way to view these beautiful animals.

  • @Kungfuhiyahba I don't know about you, but I'm not a pig when I go to places. I use this amazing invention called a GARBAGE CAN. Besides, I'd way rather animals be free than to go see them with sad faces behind bars. Have you ever seen elephants behind bars? I can see their sad eyes. I don't want to see that. That's why I stopped going to zoos years ago. Haven't been to once ever since I was 9 years old. They're so f***ing depressing!!!

  • @Sallyallie89 Okay well have fun polluting the world then.

  • @Kungfuhiyahba That's your best comeback? A comeback that doesn't even make sense after I said I know what a garbage can is and I use it, rather than throw it on the ground like a pig? At least learn a better comeback next time, one that actually goes with what the other person stated in their comment. BYE!!!

  • @Sallyallie89 Trash isn't problem, it's the boats garbage that ruins the ocean, the untouched earth, ruined by humans walking through it. Not your trash.

  • @Sallyallie89 And, Im not trying to have a comeback, I already stated my argument. You have yoour opinion, I have mine. No one is going to change that. You can call me a pig or whatever the fuck you want to call me I know who I am, you don't. Just like I don't know you, hence why I didn't call you anything. I'm still not gunna change my answer, and neither should you. Everyone needs to stop trying to change peoples opinions and thoughts. Everyone has their own reason.

  • Yeah, the biggest problem with that analogy of yours is the fact that a human was forcing a dogs to fight to the death. An animal that obviously did not even want to do these things. These killer whales were removed from their families, placed in tanks, and are now performing for audiences under very stressful conditions. It's not about HUMAN life, it's about LIFE. But maybe you just don't understand that.

  • No its a cruel thing to kill the whale and they cant release it in to the wild because it dosent know how to hunt! Think before you say!

  • @criticwithadegree umm tilikum didnt kill 3 'trainers' the first one wasnt even mainly him it was mainly another girl orca with them and that was because when she fell in they thought she was a toy cause they hadnt been around people as long. the second time tilikum didnt do it the stupid man snuck in the park drunk and jumped into the tank of a 12300 pound whale and died of hypothermia and in my opinion thats just beyond stupid and the last time yes he did kill dawn but it was more so him tryin

  • @criticwithadegree to play with her ponytail that feel into the water which he then grabbed. and umm that football player deserves to be in prison because that is just cruel just because its a animal doesnt make its life less valuable than yours.

  • @Cranma5678 Listen to your fail attempt to give and excuse to and animal that has killed a human being three different times. PETA organization loves simple minded ignorant people who thinks killing of humans is justifiable. Brainwashing

  • where was this shamu show at .

  • You cannot simply free an animal that has been in captivity for years. It does NOT have the immunities needed to survive in the wild. Or the survival skills. If you were to set the whale free it would die.

  • @sickpuppies96 shoot my bad i accidentally put thumbs down when i meant thumbs up all the wayy!!!

  • ja die menschen finden es toll die tiere dafür auszunutzen nur um sich zu amüsieren ....

warum versteht ihr nicht das tiere in die freiheit geören und nicht ihn eine show!!!!!!!!

    fuck you !!!

  • Thats not fun at all.

  • to br2ose, betawolfrunner, and metridium, the dorsal fins of males sometimes bend because of either genetics, injury, no support in the fin, or because of the different water balance in the water. not because of stress or unhappiness.

  • @AJAproduction1 I was just stating an actual theory which makes sense its only males who have developed a flopped fin captivity and in the wild

  • Do you not see that his fin is down?! That means he is stressed, unhappy, or ill. LET THEM GO! The shows may be entertaining but this is not fair to the animals.

  • @br2rose No the fin is a hormonal thing that occurs in male orcas including some in the wild.

  • @BetaWolfRunner That is complete BS and you know it.

  • @br2rose that has nothing to do with unhappy. the dorsal fin is made out of cartilage just like our ear and there is no bone to hold it up so it is bendable and sometimes in males when they have longer dorsal fins depending on the gravity pushing on the fin sometimes it droops and sometimes it doesnt in the wild and in parks.

  • @Cranma5678 Sea World's desperate rationalizations for their Captive Orcas flaccid dorsal fins is completely unsubstantiated by empirical observation and data, clearly the fact that Orca dorsal fins have no bones or muscles for support is irrelevant to their stability. To imply gravity to be the cause is at the very least misleading. Sea World's Brad Andrews commented, "It doesn't mean anything really. I like it. It's a little bit different"

  • boring

  • fuck you

  • beautiful whales but that tank is so small..

    awful

  • @thatgodchick thats not their actual tank and for people who have been to sea world you would know that they have about 6 different tanks they can swim freely around whenever whereever and with there friends and family.

  • mohandas ghandi reporting from sea world orlando

  • @NaruIchiLuffy LOLOLOL, now that's funny

  • ..and all the GHOULISH mothers and fathers in the stands...

"Look junior at the imprisoned animals at Sea World and the Zoo, that's what it was like for humans on Devils Island prison in the 18th Century, neat huh?"

    SET THEM FREE !

  • @actonbath oh get a fucking life.

  • Um. Then go free them o.O

  • poor whales...they are in a glorified fish tank

  • @tylerderdin01 why would they sue? dawn was a big girl and made decisions for herself and knew the dangers of this job as does anyone who works with animals in some way shape or form. she loved her job and she loved seaworld and the whales and it was her dream to do this ever since she was little and she did it for 20 years so why would they sue?

  • their tank is like a pool. it is SO small.

  • @beachbum954 You should see Lolitas tank. . its ten times smaller

  • @beachbum954 thats not their tank haha thats just the performing area there are 6 other areas for them to swim freely

  • their eyes are amazing

  • lOOK AT THE WHALES BENT OVER FIN...THATS A SIGN THE WHALE IS DEPRESSED AND IN AN ENVIRONMENT THATS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR IT!

  • Its cruel to keep these whales confined in tanks and used for entertainment purposes. They need to be set free!!!ASAP!!!

  • Hey don't worry, in 2012 everything will be better. Animals will be free from their captivity, humans will have to do things in a new fashion as stressed by a higher power (not god).

  • @LStrode7 setting them free would only kill them! would that make you happy? set them free so they die?

  • @Cranma5678 .Are you a whale expert??How many whales have you set free after being cruelly confined in captivity??How many of them have died due to being set free into the sea where they belong??If any of your answers to my following questions are no or none i will not continue to argue with someone who has no knowledge of what they are talking about!!

  • @LStrode7 actually i do have knowledge seeing as how i study whales. and if you need a example heres one 'free willy' or keiko he was set free after captivity and he died because he no longer knew what to do in the wild he did not have the skills anymore. There is a difference with rescuing a dolphin or sea lion etc. and putting it back than with releasing a captive animal.

  • @Cranma5678 .OKay and how do you know Keiko died because "he didn't know what to do?"He was found deceased next to a pier because he was seeking human consolation. That doesn't mean he didn't know what to do.They don't just take a whale that has been in captivity for years and then one day just dump it in the ocean. It takes quite a long time to "train" the whale to live on its own in the wild...and thenwhen they feel that the whale has learned to fend for its own then they realease it.

  • I think that any kind of animal that belongs to the WILD sHOULD STAY THERE AND BE PRESERVED BY HUMAN BEINGS. These animals get tired of perfoming all these tricks they get upset, maybe the Whale got tired and reacted like that .

  • They are suppose to be the Ocean. It is their home. They aren't domesticated, they are just doing what is needed to survive. They need food and they receive food for doing tricks, that is why they do these tricks. Otherwise, they would all just kill each and every trainer they came across just like that current incident.

They don't like being in the aquarium. No dolphin does. They want to be free.

Or if not free, at least attach the aquarium to a sea shore so that they can enjoy the sea.

  • They can enjoy living in the sea. With some form of communication we can invite them into an enclosed area to do some tricks and then let them out back into the sea when they are done. Therefore they are not in captivity, because they still live in the sea.

  • @Tom101229 you know what that actually isnt a bad idea at all haha you mean like those places where you can swim with the dolphins but their actual enclosure is part of the ocean?

  • @Tom101229 @Tom101229 thats actually not true they have no reason to do the tricks they get fed other than just during the shows the training techninques make it so that the killer whales WANT to do the tricks by using positive reinforcment only and if these whales really wanted to kill the trainers theyd already be dead u think that the whales would let the trainers ride them or hug them or even touch them if the whales didnt trust them? well they wouldnt

  • Shamuroxy, thanks for proving yourself to be a complete and absolute moron.

No, I am never wrong about anything. Learn to accept it and you will find your life much less stressful. Or must you always have this inability at showing trust to your fellow man. Must be rather hard living on this world full of humans if you don't know how to act and behave as one of us? Hmm?

Go live in your cave, troll. It is all you are good for. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • @Tom101229 um ok accept wat? i wanna be a killer whale trainer and u seem uniformed and stupid but watever nothing u say is going to change my opinion and im guessing nothing i can say will change urs cuz ur to ignorant to look at the facts

  • Applied stupidity is an indication of fear and ignorance. When a child says "Who's cares" or "whatever" to something that informative and quite serious, the intention is to destroy the significance of what is being spoken about so it would be dropped. The reason for that tactic is quite simple, fear. Fear either in what is being discussed or in what may happen due to what is being discussed. Point being that if you are afraid and want this discussion to drop. Fear is not an admirable trait, kid.

  • @Tom101229 huh? i have my opinion on the matter and u have urs.. how does that make me afraid of anything?

  • The statement of a matter as an opinion is the same as using applied stupidity to thwart a statement you do not like. Stop showing how much you fear my words and just be a man or woman or whatever it is that you are.

  • @Tom101229 itd be nice if u could tlk in simpler words.. but ok fine then i am the one that is speaking the facts then unless u have been a trainer or have been to seaworld and observed how the whales lives r u do not know all the facts... and im still not understanding wat i am afraid of...

  • It would be nice if you could talk in complete words.

  • @Tom101229 the only words i didnt fully type out was are and you but ok.. and you still didnt tell me what i am afraid of..

  • What is you do not trust is also what you fear. Trust and Fear are opposites. What one fears is what they do not trust and what you do trust is what you do not fear.

  • @Tom101229 ok that makes sense, but i trust in my opinion on this matter

  • That is not trust. That is faith. Trust ultimately requires awareness, an aspect you avoid. So you do not trust, you have faith.

  • @shamuroxy I"m studying to be a trainer too! maybe I'll see you there one day :) haha I was gonna say the same thing to Tom101229 but trust me he's not gonna change his "opinion" or try to learn about these animals, his little bit of knowledge is enough for him to start arguments he knows nothing about on youtube

  • @jhdarcy24 ya maybe! c: ya i try to stay away from these arguments cuz i no all it will do is get me angry but sometimes i cant help myself.. lol

  • @jhdarcy24 okay finally people who are all captivity is wrong blah blah blah haha!!! im sorry but these animals are treated better than most royal humans so they have it wonderful!

  • @Cranma5678 when did I say it was wrong?

  • @jhdarcy24 oh i re read what i wrote and it did seem like i said that but i was agreeing with you haha i completely agree with you!!!

  • @Tom101229 you do know that they get fed wether they do a show or not, the food in the show is like a treat and a thank you

  • @Tom101229 thats not true because regardless of what the orcas do they still get fed and they know that. they are very smart animals and if they dont feel like performing they dont make them. They get fed all the time even when they are just chillin in the other tanks with their friends and you really think your gonna force a 8000lb or more animal to do what you want? no not even. so when a orca or even a dolphin or sealion dont do their tricks they just skip it and still feed them obviously

  • @Tom101229 EXACTLY! I mean dude they don't even get to eat seals in this place! All they give em is this 4 inch fish that they gobble down. I'm suprised he even kisses them.

  • @darthd101 not true, they give them a whole different variety, fish jello, non-flavorful jello, ice, 4 inch fish, 12 & 18 inch salmon. heck even on special days or at least 3 times a week they get 24 inch salmon

  • @kingsmonarchsfan10 Dude thats not possible. Dude that doesn't change the fact that they can't eat seals, suprisingly even they have once a seagull, and dude they don't even let them eat dolphins. Yes, there cannibals

  • the bird took the fish

  • whats with the cheesy music

  • Do as i say so u`ll get 1 fish ok i`ll do

its done.... and now am i killer?

why cuz i steped on something smaller like an elephant to mouse, even neither the animal got what it did

so i live half-life (7 years) for humans fault an am i killer hahahh please education to dads and children thats badly wrong even they know

  • These dolphins are getting angry and rightly so- we humans think we have the better alternative to everything, leave wild animals where they belong- IN THE WILD.

Because that whale could have attacked anyone who was close- this is why i dont go the zoo- i get scared that someone will accidently un lock the lion cage

  • Those Animals Have a Fkg Brain .. and It's Beautiful But So Cruel to See them Kept in a Tank .. to ''perform'' .. Its actually embaressing .. I am ashamed to see these creatures Used .. STOP IT ..

  • these people have balls the size of grapefruits fuck going in there with those whales hahaha

  • hmm. I wouid be amused and sad if one of the killer whales ate one of those birds..

  • Poor dolphins, wish they'd set them free :(

  • i know right

  • FUCKING STUPID VIDEO.. . FALSE!!.. .

  • by dat i mean a wale killed someone today 2/24/10 a traner

  • there was one today

  • which of these stupid bitches got ate up today

  • @dadeboi100

HAHA. not laughing at the situation. really i swear. just the way you worded that shit had me rolling with this fuckin ''inspirational music" blasting in this video. hahahahaha

  • its my dream to work at seaworld's Believe in Orlando i absolutley love them! (i mean the orca whales!)

  • and get eaten

  • Please, go study them in the wild... Where they belong.

  • I mean seriously, what do you learn from watching them spin like that? Isn't it hypocritical to say that they haul these animals away from their families to teach you a respect for nature???

  • True i agree with u its cruel 2 keep them in like that... but u know what that so called AMERICA has no shame 4 inorcent creatures or human beings 4rm which ever country they have no respect or manners, they do what they feel & this is how it end up.

    They are very cruel.

  • @godsmiracle123 Ummm...I'm American...don't be steriotypical, Seaworld's bad, but not all American's are in support for it. Just as many American's have no respect as anyother country. Asia, the South Pacific, and the Caribbean are also very into captive cetaceans.

So before you trash other people's country, know how to spell innocent.

  • i know most americans arent that bad but actually i was addressinn some1 else who i thought was american & he was not coz he however answered the most stupid answers any1 could ever imagine & so i had 2 say that trash coz he derseved it.

  • Ok, well I just read his/her comments, and I think "the most stupid answers anyone could ever imagine" is a little far. I mean it was rude of him/her to disrespect your religon, but I'm pretty much agnostic, so I'm kinda offended, that plus you automatically expected him to be American and said we were all rude without manners....soooo... whatever, it's not my place...

  • Sorry if u felt that way, but he/she was so rude & doesnt even care about ppls belief or feelings.

  • Ummm... Not to jump into an already dumb arguement, but just in regards to this comment. How can you be a christian and they say "i had to say that trash *because* he deserved it" We as people have no right to deal out who deserves what, thats God's job and his alone. Please don't give christians a bad name... It's hard enough as it is.

  • why do the Dorsal fins do that? what does it mean? anything?

  • @MultiAnimalgirl All captive orca males have collapsed dorsel fins. Scientists think this happens because captive orcas spend so much time at the surface, while wild ones spend most of their time deep under water. This has to be a sign that they shouldn't be in captivity!!

  • @14dlns even dorsel fins can be tipped it the wild it happens alot based on how big the dorsel fin is, how thin it is, and how much time it spends on the surface hunting. also the dorsel fin is cartilage not bone so when it bends they dont feel it its just like a curly hair.

  • There are tons of theories but I personally believe that it's due to the stress that captivity puts on them along with the theory that the size of the swimming area they have doesn't allow for normal growth (because many captive whales are taken out of the sea when they are very young) and so it's somewhat of a deformity.

  • i think this is not fair among the killwe whales it could be entertaining 4 ppl 2 watch & ppl 2 put this show on coz they are getting money 4 this stupid job...

But i seriously think no1 would wanna live this kind of life not even a killer whale would!

God made the whole universe & created creatures that are ment 2 roam free away from cruelity & its always ppl that interfer with god's creation & destroy mankind.

  • if this supposed 'god' created creatures that are meant to roam free, then he wouldn't have created anything that could mess with that. they're well looked after in captivity and have good long lives there. so give your bible hugging a rest, it's a load of bullshit
