there's a difference between tower defense, and castle defense games. tower is when u build a bunch of different buildings to kill oncoming enemies, when castle defense is when u flick. why is it that everyone starting call tower defense castle defence??

I think this is more correctly defined as a castle defense game rather than a tower defense. This is like Knights on Rush rather than Geo Defense.

these kinds of games should be called something other than tower defence games. yes i agree you are defending a tower here. but the words tower defence to most people mean a game where you build towers to create a defence of some other goal.

I guess I'm the only one but I find all of these types of games to be extremely boring. I just don't enjoy sliding my finger really quickly on one side of the screen as the core game mechanic. I much prefer the more strategic tower defenses where you're actually building towers to kill the keeps. I guess to each his own.

they can't.... no one owns copyright for the genre of game they make..

you can't sue over similarities like that. this game doesn't have the sacrificial hook, or any other of the 'special' upgrades that are in onrush. and it's a pretty niche category to begin with, so if knights onrush was the first, then technically all other games are ripping it off to begin with.
