  • 10 points from Russia

  • nie no do Polaka możesz po polsku pisać :D

  • In Polish it means "whore' too ;D it's universal word for many things ;D

  • @TheArmadillooo It really sounds like she's saying 'kuurwaa' haha :D

  • Even if you sing "kuuurwaaa" in 0:09 and it means in Polish "fuuuckkkk", I love you and your language <3

  • @TheArmadillooo That "kuuuuurwa"? Shes singing " Kõrbe kuumuses liival...."

  • @TheArmadillooo In serbian, it means 'whore' . The song is great :)

  • How similar is estonian to finnish?

  • @calabrez07 Like German and Dutch, or Russian and Bulgarian, or Italian and Spanish, more or less.

  • @calabrez07 very similar.

  • One of the masterpieces of ESC 2008, but Rybak was too strong for all of them :)

  • päris sitt

  • It's the songs that everyone remembers that should win.

I'm not the only one I know of who remembers this one.

  • I don't know a thing about Estonia, but man, what a beautiful people and song;)

  • @SeminarioMAE Estonians speak in Estonian whit each other

  • Для меня эта песня победная.

  • @PashaPetrovich Its really nice to read something like this. When it's about the music not about politics. Greetings from estonian!

  • Loved it. I hope to visit Talinn, Russia sometime.

  • @SeminarioMAE I hope you meant it as Tallinn, Estonia.

Estonia and Russia are separate countries.

  • @slimc1000 OH sorry thought it was the same. I met some Estonians and they all spoke in Russian to eachother.

  • @SeminarioMAE Does this song sound russian to you?

  • @SeminarioMAE

are u sure they were estonians or they were from estonia???

  • @klaabu99 Not really sure, might have been Russians living in Estonia.

  • @SeminarioMAE I guess they were Russian Estonians or smth xD

  • @slimc1000 Yeah they were actually, I asked a couple days ago. They actually told me they don't even bother to learn Estonian... apparently there's a really large Russian colony in Tallinn so Russian and English is all they need.

Weird, huh? I would probably try my best to learn the language.

  • @SeminarioMAE uh what who where, Estonian is spoken 80% here and 20% russian because 20% of the population IS russian. They are not heartbroken and make small protests because they are lazy and don't want to learn estonian, the language, where they live, is spoken most and is a national language. Sometimes some russians go around calling estonians fashists or how ever you spell it. Pretty sad you know :/

  • @2mario23 Russians DO learn Estonian , as you can see there are almost no Russian schools left, Why do they need Estonian?Of course they learn short phrases how to ask something in shop and so on, but for future they won't need Estonian . What I see on streets is when young estonians are calling names, make stupid jokes about Russians and so on, when they don't even know what Russia had done for Estonia...! I don't think the war between us and Estonians will ever end :(

  • @AkitenV Well actually there are some russian schools left, but those schools deny to learn even the simplest words or even alphabet of Estonian language. Then they protest because they are being forced to learn it. The war indeed is never going to end. Its in our history, and its around us at the very moment. There are good russian people out there but alot of them are evil and spray grafiti on peoples homes. As long as there are people like you, there is hope for peace.

  • @2mario23 Uh? I am a student of a Private School ,and I have lessons in Russian , BUT I have Estonian everyday , and I can say for sure , I know more than Estonian alphabet.

  • @AkitenV It doesn't have to be in every school, public russian schools deny it, heck my school is near one and that one denies learning it. Anyway im not here to argue.

  • she's so beautiful, and her voice is amazing!!

  • by the way this is live...

  • Your language is awesome haha ;D / from sweden

  • i adore estonia from croatia

  • Is it just me or does parts of this song sound a lot like the first notes of Four Tops - Reach Out, I'll Be There?

  • @Zaptagious ^^ I totally hear that!!

  • The day I die and hopefully will go to Heaven, I hope Urban Symphony sings this song for me. Heavenly beautiful <3

  • prelijepa pjesma :)

  • And 12000 points goes to... Estonia :)

  • this song, and most of the songs in the eurovision

including norway the winner in that year, are produced with the goal that

a normal person remembers the song, perhaps singing it for the rest of

the day. then you can say that the producer of this song Sven lõhmus has done a very good job. go ahead and listen to alexander rybaks fairytale, after listening this song. mby u can listen to the repeating rythm

  • people, please explain this to me: how th norway won that year? i mean, that song was actually pure c..p! and there were at least 5 songs, including my countries (Estonia) song. seriously, im eurovision fan, but i have really become to hate it in last few years (still watching it cuz of songs)- the points and voting is pure politics! i mean, just check any video from last few years.

  • Божественно!

  • it is the best still

  • yeah she is singing on own language beacuse i am from estonia

  • @FullmetalRibbon Oh no it's fine, when you said that was the case I took you word for it.

  • @FullmetalRibbon Was it? I never new, I wasnt old enough to know what the Eurovision was in 1999...

  • Translation to the song would be nice.

  • It's nice to hear someone NOT singing in English. ...She IS singing in her own language, right?

  • @bingotheraccoon Yeah, she's singing in Estonian, her mother tongue. I sometimes wonder why so many countries enter in English; in my opinion English isn't all that great compared to other European languages – like Estonian. They should make a rule where you must sing in the official language of the country you represent, like the Junior Eurovision.

  • @Skyifictionable In a way I think you are right, but on the other hand, I don't. I agree that countries should be able to choose what language they wish to sing in. Not all decent singers and song writers in countries sing via their official language. If that rule was made official, then this would render these singers unable to enter giving less opportunities to other possible participants. English is an optional language that you can sing in, countries do it because English

  • @zerocoll20 Não... Você não é o único com bom gosto musical no mundo... No entanto, acho triste que o nível de exigência da maioria – principalmente no nosso canto do mundo – tenha diminuído tanto. Abraço... Rio de Janeiro - Brasil

I admit that your language makes me laugh a lot 'cos it sounds like some weird dialect of Finnish which is my language but when you guys sing!♥ It feels stupid that I know hardly any estonian language though I understand some of it..:/ I'm very happy Finland gave this song 12points:) lauldakse alati eesti ja soome keeles?
