@djsways my memory fades quickly. Mostly, I just remember loving everything and this video is my most detailed memories of the new tunes. I really like 1: Bridge Burning, 2: Rope, and 5: Matter of Time. Hard to say if the new album is better. I don't know if I cold do without any Foo album. But this one is VERY strong. It's definitely going to leave a mark ;) They are obviously going back to a more raw, aggressive, and organic sound, leaving big budget production behind, and I LOVE that.

Well, that's kind of your fault for expecting that. That record was made 14 years ago; this isn't the same band from 1997. They've grown and matured. I think people were expecting too much from Dave's "heavy" comments. I believe he meant it would be their "heaviest" record overall, not that every song would blow your mind. There aren't any "mellow" songs, per se, but not everything is deafening either.

I disagree on Generator. It's a good song even if it doesn't fit with the heavier sound. And people need to stop treating Foo Fighters as if they're a metal band. It's seems like a pretty heavy album to me so far. Remember, this band first got famous off of "Big Me." Got to know what to expect.

I think 6:53 is my favorite part. Dave Grohl. Musical superhero. Awesome they can still rip up a small club like that. I think they had as much fun as we did. The energy in that room was radical. Interesting that their setlist had no songs from ESPG and a lot of oldies from the first three albums. No complaints, but I don't want to see them completely abandon songs like "The Pretender" and "Let It Die." Granted though, something isn't getting played when you play through the new album in its entirety.

@JuiKuen We all have songs we wish they'd play, or songs that they do play that we might not be fond of, but you can't please everybody. That goes for all musicians. But I would like to see more solos and more interesting arrangements. Sometimes they'll take old songs and play around with them a bit live, and I wish they'd do more of that sort of thing with their songs are new.
