Sounds like the guy following has an exhaust system that's writing cheques the engine can't cash. A word to the wise... Noisy exhausts don't make the car go faster, quite the opposite, that's why manufacturers don't fit them. And they make you look like an utter cunt.

Have a look at any race exhaust they will be big to allow removal of exhaust gasses from the engine and they will be loud because they haven't got half the baffling that a road exhaust has. Most road cars are tuned for economy, take a look at a scooby or an Aston Martin (cars tuned for performace) out of the factory and tell me they aren't big and loud!

A high performance Imprezza makes a rather pleasant burble at tickover and a quite impressive roar when it's given a bit of welly because it needs a big bore and free flow exhaust. Loud but not annoying. A Chavved up Nova doesn't need a big bore exhaust (or tail pipe) and fitting one would ruin what little performance they have. And it'll sound like a very loud bee farting in a biscuit tin.

@FODwyerUcock I agree, there is a huge differance between an exhaust tuned for the track one tuned mainly to sound lovely and a halfords bucket on the back of a Nova but i was refering to the posters car. If you look at some of the other videos on his channel he actually has quite a nice MR2. The shit noise is clearly coming from it being recorded on an old phone and the audio is clipping, even the nicest sounding exhaust would sound poor in those conditions.
