  • I LIKE MARTIN'S WORK...BUT I WOULD HAVE VOTED FOR GEORGE SHAW...

  • I remember seeing similar obsessive traits on TV, about a guy with autism. He repeated patterns of numbers so much that eventually they turned into art. Martin's obsession with someone else's artwork finally gave him something to call his own. :P

  • yay he won!!!!

  • great talent, great work, but not at all inspiring conceptually or aesthetically.

  • @PicassoStar1 what do you mean? How can something be "great" but not inspiring?

  • @thedoctorzee Agree! Skills are apparently not a necessity to be a relevant artist today.

It's about the money today, not the quality of work:(

  • @PicassoStar1 What I mean is this: His technical execution is masterful, but the product to the viewer doesn't convey that mastery It's. like a surgeon who does a masterful job in surgery, but to others who see the patient walking down the street months after the recovery have no idea of the doctor's skill. We as artists know the great skill that went into creating the exhibit, but doesn't inspire most viewers who don't know. It's just metal and paper.

  • @PicassoStar1 I can't even begin to understand how stupid this comment is

  • @ECKHARDTN Yeah,I know my comment sounds like a contradiction. But in all honesty to the artist I can see he has talent, but the execution of his deas doesn't translate conceptually or aesthetically. May I ask why you think my comment is stupid? Can you not understand sentences with pluralist thought?

  • @PicassoStar1 Who cares if it 'doesn't inspire most viewers who don't know'. Didn't you do it for yourself in the first place? or were you looking to get recognition? I'm sorry 'PicassoStar1' but your thought feels hardly 'pluralist' anyway in what you think is 'aesthetically' pleasing. Obviously some people have looked at this and thought it was beautiful.

  • @ECKHARDTN Let's hope the artist cares if his work inspires others. An artists life is lonely if his work inspires only himself. As for me? I create art for myself (same as any artist) with the pluralist idea it will be pleasing to me AND others. My own work is not really good, but it inspires. I sought artistic dialogue not recognition. Those who think his work is great? Great! Their opinion counts, same as mine, no more, no less. And you DID care what I thought or you wouldn't have commented.

  • I'm always first on these videos. We need to get these out more, there really good. People need to see more fine art in the world.

  • @NYCForeverbaby true

  • @NYCForeverbaby Fine ART? I would call it conceptual art or maybe even modern.
