Look at them now, they're rich, James is sober and they have families to take care of. They don't really have any reasons to be angry so thrash just isn't really for them anymore. When they were young, they had reasons and it paid off well, but now, they're free to express how they feel now and I'd happily give any of it a try. For Metallica, not being true to themselves is selling out and since they aren't angry young lads anymore they never sold out. They matured. Music is what they know.
