  • Can this song be longer please?

  • Finally I know the name of this song. I heard it in The Sopranos season 6 episode 1. It's Gene the guy that wants to retire is driving home after clipping that guy in the pizza joint.

  • <3...

  • dreaming of peace rest in peace worldxxx

  • dreaming of peace xxxrip world

  • Were any of Blondie's members British? Please let me know. God bless ya, for yer efforts. Have a blessed week!

  • @DaveWollenberg Nope, they were all American - I think nearly all were from Brooklyn.

  • @Warrenvaldez Really? I thought that Nigel Harrison was from the UK.

  • @DaveWollenberg Omg, I knew I forgot some of them >.< There's been quite a few members of Blondie though.

But yeah, I think you're right about Nigel Harrison - I can't remember any more who were fro the UK.

  • Saw her live on sat she was gud and wonderfully

  • epic drumming Clem

  • epic drumming Clem

  • Ah! My fave Blondie tune!

  • Come on, you people in bands/music industry - give us more great stuff like this!! No more sampling rip-offs/heartless, disingenuous lyrics/non-original melodies and riffs/ideas coldly generated by computer... No more Muzak!!! No more arrogant acts that are front and center which take away from what great music is supposed to be all about - the music! You gotta do better...

  • I just love the opening drum roll then the guitars kick in! Ah! Memories!!!

  • @irishpogi totally agree!!! a tune where you want to be a drummer, too! :D

  • Timeless.

  • Great drumming Clem

  • This song makes me feel a little better about life for some reason...Dreaming really is one of the FEW things that you can do for free.

  • This is one of my favorite songs of all time! It makes me so happy. It's like you're happiest in your dreams & you spend your whole life trying to achieve them. People try to put a price on everything in life but you can't put a price on your dreams...they're free. :) Great lyrics and her voice was so beautiful on this song! I ♥ Blondie!

  • MY BAD, spelling is not my forte.

  • BEST BLONDIE SONG EVER, reminds of my greet teen year.

  • @Courtneymister You only had one? Lol

  • @Courtneymister Yeah, I loved this song, and would sing it in my head as a teen.

  • What a babe!

  • @Ramonesfan990

Hell Yes! In the words of the wonderful Dead Kennedys "MTV GET OFF THE AIR!!!"

and also, to everyone who is political, in the words of Jello Biafra "The American Propaganda Machine is run half Walt Disney, half Joseph Goebbels."

  • Blondie is fuckin' awesome. Oh Debbie Harry, if i was a lesbian Id be in love with her.

  • Such an incredible band. A real shame they weren't even included in VH1's list of 100 Greatest Artists.

  • @EJD86-I hate lists like that because people take them seriously. You ask a bunch of vapid musicians to compare artists over different eras and genres with no set criteria and unsurprisingly you get an arbitrary mess. And Blondie always gets shafted; it's a pattern. They are just tougher to classify than their contemporaries, are frequently misinterpreted, and people can't seem to square artistic credit with Debbie's beauty. That complexity is actually part of what I like about them.

  • SLC punk(:

  • @cherrybomb305 Wait when was this in SLC Punk?

  • @TheTrainRex at the girls party before bob overdoses .

  • :) Good stuff

  • CBGB= The Ramones,Talking Heads, Blondie, Bad Brains thats all you need to Know Fuck MTV and Fuck The Radio thank god they havnt runied any of this classic stuff

  • @Ramonesfan990 Don't forget Television and Richard Hell and the Voidoids.

  • @Ramonesfan990 By 2012 they will ruin them. =_=

  • @kikyouwuv It is always 2012 ON MY ASSHOLE!!!

  • @Ramonesfan990 I love all these bands too but you know MTV had a lot of shifts in its airplay in the early days 81 82 they played a lot of great cool new music.

  • @Ramonesfan990 The Runaways :)

  • @Ramonesfan990 Amen my friend!!!

MTV used to be good but now it sucks ass, The radio stations used to be good and now they also suck ass. So help me....heads will roll and blood will spill if they even think of tampering with classics like this!!!

  • @Ramonesfan990 you realize that you probably wouldn't even know any of these bands without mtv?

all of these great bands got their big break on mtv including radiohead, jesus mary chain and many more great bands

  • @itsabingo Thats what im saying id love to get in a time machine and go back to the 1970s New York and have seen this amazing stuff in CBGB and MTV. But now look at it a bunch of fuckin retards from Jersey Shore the only good thing MTV has given us is Jackass but ill see Interviews with Joey Ramone from MTV News and I think to myself wow what happend to thoes days now all it is,is a brain washing machine for kids to listen to shitty music! they choose justin bibber over Blondie??

  • @itsabingo You have a point, but I discovered Blondie old school style. On the radio. Didn't know what she looked like, didn't care. The songs were great. Back in the day your music had to stand on it's own, it wasn't as dependent on image and all of that other bullshit. That's why most of today's music won't stand the test of time. Of course this is an old fart talking, but that's my opinion.

  • @czerepification I concur.

  • @czerepification I would disagree. this is early 80s and that's when the glam bands started and they were all about image.

  • @ahhhitsrob Your right that it was about this time when image started being at the forefront. Blondie definately benefitted from being good looking, but I was never into the MTV thing so image wasn't a factor. I either liked the song or not. And image doesn't make a song resonate and stand the test of time.

  • agreed.

  • @czerepification Some of it will...but most of the commerical stuff will be forgotten or viewed unfavorably by the next generation.

  • @iLiveMusic90 Your right about that.

  • @Ramonesfan990 Patti Smith Group, Dead Boys, Richard Hell (& the voidoids), Television....

  • @Ramonesfan990 All great bands except from the talking heads haha

  • @Ramonesfan990 all those good bands used to be MTV brotha

  • @Ramonesfan990 Spread the word out. We all need to combine our efforts to stop SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, and the Snooping bill HR 1981 or they could ruin it.

  • Just got my Tickets to see Blondie in Sydney in Dec - my god of waited since the early eighties for this - hope they play this my all time favourite

  • slc punk.

  • @yocorrocontrajeras excellent movie

  • @brandmolotov54 I know right! And i love the part when this song plays

  • @yocorrocontrajeras

When was this in the movie? I can't think of the part for some reason.

  • @JonnyLightning it was towards the end before heroin bob OD's the party scene where that girl is saying how being punk is in the mind

  • @yocorrocontrajeras

    Oh, okay, with Brandi.

Thanks, that was really bothering me, I've seen the movie a million times and I dunno why I couldn't remember it.

  • hahahah im glad i could help lol dnt worry i get like that too lol

  • @yocorrocontrajeras

HA! SLC Punk is such a great movie and so few people have ever seen it (I'm a movie freak and most of my friends are the same and even most of them have never even heard of it, let alone seen it!!!!).

  • @AirplaneturboFan It's a wonderful movie! I know right?! they have it on netflix and it should be required any lover of music should watch that movie :Dlol

  • @AirplaneturboFan To be an anarchist in Salt Lake City was certainly no easy task, especially in 1985. And having no money, no job, no plans for the future, the true anarchist position was in itself a strenuous job.

  • i've loved blondie since i was two years old (13 years!). proof not all teenagers love shit like justin bieber and whatnot.

  • Fave Blondie song.

  • who else sees similarities between this and mr brightside by the killets ?
