you can't isolate arms by themselves, meaning you have to take the entire body into account. Yes earl is shorter but his chest is thinner, his muscles are smaller, his bones are smaller, his hands are smaller. It's not like shaq has long arms on a small body so he's at a disadvantage. The weights and bar are just the same size for earl as for shaq, therefore give little guys their due when they are strong, shorter arms or not.
