  • awesome!!

  • Thanks kdidl. I actually tipped the machine over last fall. Scared me big time. But no harm to anything, except my pride. Careful out there.

  • Thanks for posting this. I have the John Deere version of this tractor (2305). I'm looking at getting the backhoe attachment for it. Looks like I could expect similar results judging by the fact that weights and horsepower of the machines are about the same. Looks like you could do about anything with it if your not in a hurry?

  • All I can say is that if your happy doing it that way and as you said it gives you therapy, then by all means keep doing it, you seem to be pretty content so good work and best of luck aginst those roots, lol!

  • Well if he didn't want the stump this way is pretty effective.

  • Video would have been better without all the cutouts - very distracting.

  • good video i just dont like all of the video editing every 5 seconds

  • awsome toy!

  • Seems dangerous to me. If you are working to dig these roots up and get enough to have it begin falling, you may not be able to get out of the way quick enough and the rescue team would be unable to separate Kubota from body parts. Stay safe.

  • Im impressed Great little machine

  • rent a cat next time

  • you should turn the throttle up it sounds like it is having a hard time

(if it is not yet turned up)

  • @kb384us - ha ha. I'll keep my desk job. I'm sure my video editing - and my backhoe skills are both lacking.

  • Hi. I liked your video, so forgive my ignorance. Why not just cut it down? Seems like a lot of extra work (do you need to fill in the hole?), but please, could you tell me why you do it this way? Thanks.

  • @risingbullproduction - I tip the tree over to remove the stump. The weight of the tree flips the roots out and the ground is then clear. It's tedious, the tractor is small, but it's my personal therapy. In other words, I like playing in the woods. Someday these particular woods will be clear to walk. Currently working on a mess of vine maples - the mother of all jungles.

  • i have kubota 45 horse with a backhoe and the best tip I can give you is to hire someone with a caterpillar 963 - He would have 20 trees that size out and you probably spent more in deisel than you would have had to pay him - Plus I broke my bucket trying to dig out a stuborn root - You just can't beat those big machines. Literally a 963 is probably 100X faster than a small machine and you can't run a small machine for 100 hours for the 90-110 dollars a 963 costs per hour.

  • @khazenstab - Thanks for the comments, but as I said above, working in the woods is my personal therapy. Here in WA State, if you aren't attacking the jungle, the jungle wins. A cat would be quicker, but my little tractor BX-24 allows me to pick what I take out and what I leave behind. I don't mind the time.

  • @khazenstab

Could you suggest an equipment for cleaning up the garbage dump; needs to scoop up garbage from tar or concrete surfaces....sorry am not used to mechanised cleaning and intend to take to it

  • Great video! I hope you do more!

  • Thanks! The video was one of my first trees. I'll try your tip today. Need all the torque I can get.

  • Just a tip if you push down on the boom and away with the stick while curling the bucket it greatly increases your breakout force. should be helpful with those stubborn roots
