I had never heard of this until tonight - went to see a tribute band 'Think Floyd' , who played a lot of the 'Live in Pompeii' stuff and I was transported ... just had to try and find the original! Listening now and have to say that Think Floyd did an excellent job. Brilliant music, both original and tribute.

I own this dvd but after watching for a few seconds I was unable to stop. NO four men on the planet can compare to the many musical masterpieces these men created. Even after Mr. Waters left, they all have continued to create the best music ever recorded. I am saddened to realize that they, too soon, shall no longer be creating new material and with that end we shall witness the ending of an era that I am not ready to lose.

It's good how PF talks about their equipment in this film and how they are trying to simplify it. His solos are incredible but don't forget he creates it by pedal use. Difference in making the notes on your own and by pedal.
