  • and before that i had my window open because it was too hot in my bedroom and i heard a dog howling i thought it was Indy he howls allot and then he walks into my room and then i thought "if hes in here then who's out there?" and it turned out to be a coyote my uncle Craig chased it away he was heading over to my house and it could iv jumped through my window now that was scary knowing a coyote was just outside my window

  • my dog Indy hes a dashound and he chased a cougar away from me and my cousin Larry and all i saw was one black dot and one brown dot the cougar was released somewhere near my house and i think it was about to kill me and Larry but Indy chased it up a tree by my shed and i ran tword my dog and i looked up and there was a huge cat with yellow eyes and no one was hurt including the cougar and no one went outside not even my dogs for the rest of the day and i never saw the cougar again.

  • i am not into evolution. i am into god's creation. I hate killing wild animals or any animal at that. but if a cougar was gonna harm me or my family. it has to be shot and killed if not relocation. but once a cougar kills a person they have to be killed. because it will go for another person. i live in the country and we have horses and all that. the law where i live is that if you see or here or even spot tracks of a cougar you have to call 9-11 because where i live they are a problem.

  • @09BiggB well maybe u shouldn't live there then! humans are invasive like god damn parasites! they will stop at nothing & take every single piece of land, river, lake, tree, & develop it, dam it, pollute it, discard it's fuckn' waste into it, trap & hunt every animal it can for sport & enjoyment.ever thought we need to leave some space for the other creatures on this planet?? cougars may not be classified as endangered by OUR standards, YET, but when they do, we still don't give a shit.

  • WE are a part of nature too. Animals have changed for a reason, and new spices take there place, fitting into the society they now live in. We are meant to be here even more then the animals. They were created for us, if you believe in the bible and I do. IN any case, nothing stays the same. Change is inevitable. Particularly if you attack people.

  • @applepiebetty u were brainwashed :)

  • A cougar came after my son one evening in our back yard when he was 13. Our small dog and two larger 8 mo pups ran the cougar off. The cougar ended up killing the neighbors goats, which were beloved pets, not livestock. A hunter was called in to take the cougar out and received permission from me and our neighbors to hunt it on our land. I appreciate the hunter. I love big cats, but when they start hunting children they have to die!

  • @keykey12ful big cats r endangered, humans rnt so who the fuk cares if the human race is less by 1?!?!?!

  • @wolfsrain0000 What a stupid question! Considering the fact that I was discussing my son I think the obvious answer is me. I don't mind if a cougar kills you, though, since you are advocating for such behavior. You should also check your sources, although there are 3 sub-species of cougars that are endangered, the cougar is not endangered. There are cougars in the area we live and we live in harmony. When a sick/old cat atacks humans it must die. If you tried to harm my child I would kill you.

  • @keykey12ful humans will never worth as much as animals, but u cannot disagree with the fact that there r more humans than cougars! btw..i couldnt give a shit about ur worthless piece of shit kid....i'd kill ur kid no problem, there r more children being given birth to than needed.period

  • GOOD DOG

  • really people griping about the cougar having nowhere to live im sorry i understand but it is callled hunting and there are places to do it it needed to be shot no one cares about the animals that will kill you the shoot them i live in the south and i would have popped that damn thing and i also would have kept its skin for a rug

  • thumbs up if your going to click the lamb who was born with human head next

  • I thought it was supposed to be a 40 year old single woman.... But okay....

  • @OliviaHannah2011 lolololol

  • Too bad they are chemtrailing us.. because if they were not killing everything in our forest the cougar would have a rabbit to eat and would not have to come to the city looking for food. That's why he was there in the first place. Wake your asses up sheeple.. or your going to be next on the plate.

  • @iondetox o.O dude... go outside.... step away from the internet...

  • @MPSecare That where I see and film the chemtrails ! Moths are not killing trees aluminum is. You've not seen chemtrails in your neck of the woods? Come on.. surely it not that foreign to you. Try to look up in the sky and depending on how old you are maybe you can remember what clouds look like. I hope so or you a youngster.. lol..

  • @iondetox , actually, Cougars like most other wild animals tend to naturally go for the most redily available meal. As such, the sub urbs or near-by residences provide this easy meal.

Cats, vermin, roosting hens and garbage are some examples.... Discovery Chennel...lol

  • That little kid just sat there after seeing his dog being attacked. I would've at least started kicking the cougar. If my dog saved my life, I'd at least owe it to "Angel" to protect her life I mean sh*t what if the cop werent there?

  • i love canadians :)

  • No video?

  • that's an awesome dog

  • @alazaerose The cat should not have tried to attack a human and it might be alive still.

  • This is why men breed dogs; for hunting and for to be guardians, lovely dog for sure.

  • aww bless that dog!!!!!! :-)

  • once a big cat like that has a taist for other animals blood like the dog or child and seen them as a easy target the animal will not stop looking for that easy target rip big cougar but it was the safest thing the cat would have killed the dog befor it fell asleep with the trank

  • wait wait wait i just watched another version of this news, and they said it took 2 BULLET to kill the cat....

  • that dog has balls of steel

  • @123RandomMr Steel Steel Steel Steel.

  • Frig, living up to it's name huh...

  • My dogs would try and protect me but I would rather protect them :)

  • I can't believe people will hurt abuse animals and animals will project people with their life! This is such a touching story good job Angel!! Good dog!

  • hero just a hero

  • This dog kicks ass, FUCK YOU VICK!

  • A cougar who ventures this close to suburbia is highly abnormal to begin with. I don't question the decision to put it down. The alternative would be to risk letting it harm another person or animal, and that's not a conscionable choice in my book.

  • @racheloveck cant you just tranquelize it and relocate the animal somewhere else? just like they do with bears and wolves

  • @SuperVancouverBC i agree, its just following its instinct

  • OH HOLY SHIT this dog is amazing

  • My Dog would cry and then run away

  • You see what dogs do for us yet people kill them and abuse them it's sad when you think about it

  • @blord2010 Agreeeeeed

  • was it just me that noticed the irony of it's name and the situation?

  • I understand why they killed the kitty, but it's still too bad. Just one more instance of a wild animal losing its life due to human encroachment. Not to say we should put wildlife ahead of human life or even necessarily domesticated animals, but let's not forget they were around first; most of these attacks happen because the territory they've always lived in is now someone's backyard. Conflicts are inevitable.

  • @zorak950 Its not due to humans, Either the cougar died or the dog did. The dog saved someone's life, would you want to watch your dog be killed by a cougar because the cougar isnt demesticated?

  • @FallLeavesMelody No, but that's not the point. I'm not saying they did the wrong thing by killing the cougar, I'm saying that these incidents happen primarily because people are building their houses in wildlife habitats. Yes it's sad that people and pets get attacked and no you shouldn't necessarily put the welfare of wild animals ahead of them, but let's not forget that /we're/ the invaders in most of these cases.

  • @zorak950 Thats not what Im trying to say. Im trying to say just because the dog is domesticated doesnt mean we should let the cougar kill the dog. They should have put made the cougar go to sleep, then save the dog, and relocate the cougar. Yes, humans go to far, the animals are here too.

  • @FallLeavesMelody I agree, though I doubt the police officer had a tranquilizer gun. I suppose he could have tried to tazer the thing, but I doubt that would have allowed him to capture it. Under the circumstances, he didn't have much choice but to use deadly force if he wanted to save the dog. I would have preferred that the cougar live, but sometimes when the best solution isn't available we have to pick from a set of bad choices. In this case, I think killing the cat was the right call.

  • @kulgy ikr

  • WTF y would you kill the cougar?!?! Shoot a leg or two then get him all fixed up and keep the beast as backyard.protector :D

  • should of tranq'd the cougar and re-located it into a wilderness area somewhere else.

  • @Myaucat They probably didn't have time :/ That would have been a good idea if they did

  • @FallLeavesMelody that's because they are ill-equipped and unprepared. This should be a ASPCA matter, not a flat-foot matter.

  • @Myaucat You confused me

  • @FallLeavesMelody flat footz are cops, & these retards usually shoot anything on site, no questions asked. the aspca are animal protection officers - they are equipped to capture and transport animals in situations like this. see the difference?

  • @Myaucat that can take a while. save the family dog before the cougar.

Also, it would have made the cougar more aggressive. It's a dangerous situation, the best way to safety was to shoot the thing.

  • @Empep12 no, too fuckn' bad. you can't just go around killing. this animal deserves to live and who the fuck are you to take his life away?? not his fault humans are encroaching on natual environments and more and more animals have no where left to live and hunt for food. fuck it. deal with the consequences or get the fuck out, but you ain't killing animals because you decide to take their homes away and stay in a dangerous area.

  • @Myaucat the cougar is a female. most likely protecting her cubs

  • @Myaucat Ok, who the fuck cares? We weren't put on this earth to be at "peace" with all of nature. We were put here to be the dominant species, and that's what we are doing. Dominating. Oh, and I know for damn sure if some fuckin big ass cat jumped in my backyard and attacked my dog (fuck a kid) I'd shoot it in the head.

  • @hawaiinicco1800 I just want to say... that we weren't put on this earth to be the dominant species. We evolved that way.

  • @Kimishibai You are saying that Humans were not created to be the dominant species? Is that correct? Then what or who is?

  • @pepjrp We evolved to the dominant species. Not "created" sorry, that I don't believe in creationism

  • @Kimishibai That's too bad you feel that way, but I have had way too many experiences that tells me way different. I appreciate your civility though.

  • @Kimishibai We've been dominant ever since we were created.

  • @Myaucat Since when is the world a fair place? When two species fight for resources in the same area guess what? The superior one wins, and Humanity is FARRR more successful as a species. Cougars will go the way of the Dodo. Sucks but as I said the world is not a fair place.

  • @saiyanofsteel "When all the trees have been cut down, when all the animals have been hunted, when all the waters are polluted, when all the air is unsafe to breathe, only then will you discover you cannot eat money." a species that destroys its environment and destroys itself is NOT superior, it's just dumb, and if humanity continues on this path, IT will go the way of the Dodo.

  • @Myaucat Perhaps you don't realize they discovered that the Dodo is not extinct after all.

  • @Myaucat Yea and like you saying this is totally going to change the world. Before you know it you'll be receiving awards left and right for your amazing views that changed the world

  • @Myaucat I'm all for saving wild life, but not when they attack us. They still have wild lands, they choose to often take the easy road to the table. I live in the country, and was here way before the lions that have attacked our livestock. We have had Mt. Lions dare you to get out of your own car. You can't send these somewhere else. They will be ran off by their own species. Dinosaurs are gone for a reason. Evaluation demands change. We are also a part of nature and belong here too.

  • @Myaucat Are you not aware that human beings are naturally occuring and the Earth is our habitat. We did not come from outer space. Cougars kill animals on a regular basis, as do humans. There is nothing wrong with omnivores or carnivores hunting other animals. Hunting a species into extinction, on the other hand, is morally wrong. It's a good thing cougars are not endangered.

  • @keykey12ful That's what I'm saying....

  • The police officer should not have shot the cougar. He should have put it in an ol' half nelson until help arrived.

  • the dogs name is fitting !

  • what a great dog dogs are just pets they can be heros

  • now THAT is why dogs are mans bestfriend

  • @JoHannaWaechter damn straight.

  • 3 shots to kill it neva herd of a head shot?

  • @kulgy Stop playing COD and enter the real world. Hitting a moving animal with a pistol is not an easy thing to do.

  • @gnarkillkicksass LOL aiming in call of duty is most definately harder than aiming in real life...

  • @kulgy It had the dog in its mouth and after the dog saved the kid I don't think they wanted to kill it too.

  • Im curious, was there a possibility of the child going back into the house?

  • All you guys saying the cougar was not supposed to be killed are wrong I would have gone along with u guys if the kid was attacked in the wild but c'mon it was in his backyard and thank god for dogs a cat would have just watched the kid die not that I don't like cats but im pretty sure that's what it would have done

  • This is am amazing and heatwarming story.

For those upset about the cougar's death, there is simply no other way to deal with predators once they have lost their fear of humans. The best solution is to avoid these encounters and get cities to grow by intensifying within their boundaries instead of taking over farm or forest lands. However in places like British Columbia there is lots of wilderness and there are bound to be problems like this.

  • Wow,thats pritty crazy

  • My dog would probably just run away

  • @gg2000gg2000 thats messed up

  • @gg2000gg2000 mine too, but i love her to death

  • ಥ_ಥ*

    bad ass

  • awww... i tell u what, no matter how vicious the dogs look or what breed they are... it doesnt matter how they lookits how they are brought up ! thts why i love dogs :)

  • Dogs, like humans. Live together, they're social and they rely very heavily on family members.

  • if u say dogs do nothing for u u r wrong there life savers dogs are a miricle like this if u r with me <3<3<3

  • Yes, and of course it was necessary to kill the cougar.

    Asshole people...

The dog is a hero, no doubt...

But why always have to kill wild animals, and the present it in TV like its a good thing... Asshole people...

    Just my humble opinion, lol.

    Asshole people

  • @Dawngod Um.... The police officer had every right to shoot it. It would've killed the dog and the boy after it if he didn't.

  • goddamn thank god for that cop or that hero dog woulda died! :o

  • Why did I picture a SNL/MadTV skit with a horny older lady ("cougar") trying to seduce the boy?

  • dogs kick ass man!

  • tbh your dog has some huge balls.

  • @thespanishhobos2 It's a girl...

  • @thespanishhobos2 isnt it a girl?

  • the kid is pretty eloquent

  • no it wasnt over baord.. animal on the loose that kills and or atacks children in there OWN YEARDS.. sorry couger had 2 die ..

  • They were blessed by an angel xD

  • I think killing the cougar was overboard. I mean, there is such thing as reloacting. But hey, the dog is the hero. :)

  • @WolffenViewer would you rather have the child murdered by a fucking 250 cat trying to kill the parents kid, that dog saved the kid.

  • @dynamitewriter I never said that. I just don't think it's right to kill the cat. I mean geez, it didn't know. And yeah, the dog did save the kid. I'm not saying that's a bad thing.

  • Yes, It's sad that the cougar had to die but shouldn't we be more focused on the fact that the dog risked it's life for that child. Thats a true hero

  • How the mutherfuck can you dislike this video?

  • I love wild life etc But the moment they cross my property and threatens me life they are soo dead

  • it really gets me how they use guns instead of tranquilizers so they wouldn't have to kill animals.

  • @LuckyB3A5T Sometimes if they're just hanging around residential areas they do that, but once it attacks a human the cougar's life is forfeit. A very sad consequence of people building developments further out into the wilderness.

  • @LuckyB3A5T who gives a shit the cougar tried to attack the boy and almost killed his dog it deserved to die

  • @LuckyB3A5T

    cops aren't veterinarians

  • wow killing the cat is abit much, dont cops in america have bats or anything?

  • @KeepEmCommin This story was in Canada.

  • @MrNFL pretty much, same thing.

  • in my country a three legged skinny dog jumped in the head of a brown bear that chewing on it master's wife . the dog saved the woman's life .

  • I wish the cougar didn't have to die like that

  • the cougar was just probably scared of the odd environment, the attack wasnt the cougars fault, if you think about it, it all leads back to the human race....

  • lol ahaha fkn boston bar i live in bc boston bar is a highway town fkn 8 houses and a gas station. Imbred hillbillys live their nice people tho but scary lookn lol.

  • My dogs wouldnn't do that 'cause its a small sheit shzu but still they are loyal loving dogs.

  • This dog is an angel

  • An unfortunate situation all around but when push comes to shove I would be there with my dog in an instance

  • had i thought in the beginning that it was about an older woman hitting on him

  • cougar gota eat too

  • TELL ME THAT COP DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE GUY FROM SCREAM.

  • @KamIsSoCool way to ruin the movie for me jackass

  • @WejYllemS np [:

  • very touching...

  • wow what a baller cop.. gets there in 1 minute and saves a hero dog's life

  • i certainly don't feel sorry for the cougar. If it ever came near my nephew i'd blow its head off without hesitation. That dog would be having cougar steak for dinner, with a side dressing. Where the red fern grows was one of my favorite books as a kid, and the loyalty of a dog was always comforting to have living in the country.

  • what an awesome name for a dog considering what it did

  • ...lucky for the cougar that he is only attacking a golden, I wanna see him taking on a rottie or a pits..

  • naw what great loyalty, my dog wouldnt do shit >.>

  • and thats why i have dogs mastiffs at that

  • Man's bestfriend? I think so.

  • dog must saved:( hell with the human

  • can you say treats for life

  • @FUNisUnderRated ya no shit that dog would be the fucking king in my house. WHATEVER he wanted to do, i would never be able to say no. all the food. id probably let him drop a douce in my house if he had to or if he did it while i was gone etc. what a crazy story. he prob knew there was no chance for him before he deflected the attack.

  • @sookyz "he prob knew there was no chance for him before he deflected the attack." Dogs dont think ahead, they live and think for only the present which makes them so heroic.

  • So sad how pets rescue for their own lives for the owners and dies later on... :'(

  • That little dog should inspire a new movie of The Bodyguard. He's truly an Angel.

  • in this day and age its good to hear stories like this

  • cougers are jackasses

  • I still feel bad for the cougar :(

  • horrible, but think about this, the couger would have been starving hungry, cold and desperate.

If I was starving, I would eat any meat. even humans if already dead and fresh.

  • i hate cats!!

  • STOP FUCKING KILLING THESE WILD ANIMALS THAT HAVE CONFRONTATIONS WITH PEOPLE OR THEIR PETS!!! IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE.

  • @Nayr747

Yeah easy for you to say to not kill wild animals when you're not being attacked. Sure it's not the cougars fault since it's us humans that are entering their habitat, but it's not the 11 year old boy or the dogs fault. If you saw your dog with a cougar biting his neck, you wouldn't try to kill the cougar? Or if there was a cougar in the backyard with your son you wouldn't kill it? I'm sure you'd be a great parent or dog owner.

  • @krone2 That is clearly not what I was saying. This kid, his parents, etc did not kill the cougar. It is a policy of authorities to kill any wild animal that has had any kind of negative contact with humans or their pets, regardless of if the animal has left the area and is no longer a threat. They will go searching for it and kill it whenever they find it. This makes almost zero sense.

  • @krone2 (cont) This policy is the result of stupidity and serves essentially no purpose other than to kill animals unnecessarily. There is this idea that this particular animal is somehow different from all the other wild animals, that it is now a threat and has a "taste for human blood" or whatever. And also some emotional response to the confrontation. The reality is humans live in animal's habitat, and we are part of the food chain. You can't kill every animal on the planet.

  • @Nayr747 its OK to kill dangerous or delicious animals. End of.

  • @StormingSheep The things is, MOST animals are dangerous, and arguably all animals are delicious (including humans btw). So the logical result of this policy and mindset is that all animals should be killed. That they aren't, and that people react negatively to this idea, shows the utter brokenness with which people approach things. This policy makes absolutely no sense.

  • @Nayr747 Die

  • @OneGamblor Yes that is a word. Maybe you can make it to two next time.

  • @Nayr74 so if there was a cougar attacking you in your back yard you would be sad if it died?

  • @piscaloni Of course I would be sad. Do you think the cougar is attacking you maliciously like a human can? I mean come on. It's obviously starving since you built your new housing development right in it's habitat so that it has nothing to eat anymore. The audacity of humans is unbelievable. You move into it's area, take away it's land and food, then get angry and kill it if it responds, even though it doesn't have a choice. Why are you watching this video if you don't care about animals?

  • @Nayr747 im not saying i dont care about animals, im saying if a cougar is trying to eat me i want it either dead or incapacitated. And the houses arent built directly on the cougars habitat, unless theyre on top of a fucking mountain or in a cave. Go suck a trees dick or whatever it is you hippies do.

  • @piscaloni Keep being an immature kid. There's no way you're 30 with the way you write. I'd say you're probably 17 at the most. One of the main causes of cougar attacks on humans is their starvation through human development in their habitat. Humans are not naturally prey items for cougars. Maybe you should look this shit up before getting frustrated and throwing out random insults. You just look like an ignorant kid.

  • @Nayr747 haha, im 15. but what im saying is if a cougar is trying to eat me , i dont really care what its motives are, i want it gone. if a human is not a natural prey item for a fucking elephant, and im being chased by one, i want that gone too. youre probly one of those people that would chain themselves too a tree so it doesnt get cut down so youre opinion is basically garbage.

  • @piscaloni If my opinion is garbage when I have actual facts and know what the hell I'm talking about on the subject then what does that make yours? Grow up.

  • @Nayr747 this isnt a matter of facts, if you havent noticed by now its completely opinion based, and your opinion is one of a tree-hugging hippie who lives in a forest.

  • @piscaloni It's not actually. There are facts about WHY it would be attacking you for instance. Facts that you clearly don't know. Why am I even talking to some narcissistic selfish kid who hates animals anyway? Everyone knows 15 year old's opinions don't matter. Which is why you can't eve vote.

  • @Nayr747 aaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnd you just proved yourself to be a dumbass. Narcissism is obsession of oneself and i dont know where i showed my self to be narcissistic. Selfish for having common sense? and im pretty sure i dont hate animals seeing as one of the two videos i have on my channel is of my cat. and if youre being attacked by a cougar, are you really gonna stop and think " oh gee i wonder why it is trying to eat me?" i doubt it.

  • @Nayr747 At least 17?? Man i dont know how mature the 17 boys in your country are, but i think that anyone in my class i would ask about this would agree with you, i think that i would aggre with you even when i was 10, you just need to realize that there are some boys in this world that just dont grow up.

  • @Teutonium Thank you for the intelligent response.

  • @Nayr747 Probably piscaloni had a bad life, where someone mistreat him, or he just grew up seeing other ppl being stupid to animals.

  • @piscaloni dude nayr is right, cougars dont atack ppl for no reason, its because of us mans, if you do use the net for more then watching porn just go to the animal defense sites or other places and you can see that there are animals that are even skined alived, and left to die with no skin in a pile of bodys. And there are much more cases of humans mistreating animals.

  • @Teutonium im not talking about the motive for the cougar to attack someone, if i am being attacked by a motherfucking cougar, i honestly couldnt give less of a shit why, i want it not there anymore. i dont have anything against cougars, but if put in the situation i really wouldnt be worrying about the cougar.

  • I do not understand why they had to shoot the cougar. HE would not have been there if he had plenty of food and space to live a wild life. That is our fault not his.

  • An amazing story of a dogs loyalty..Sad that the cougars life was lost. This is another example of humans encroaching on natures territories.

  • @Rich13canada yeappp

  • @Rich13canada nope, its good the cougar died!

  • @Rich13canada humans encroaching on natures territories? i think you have that backwards. the cougar was in the kids back yard. its the complete opposite the cougar was encroaching on humans territory.
