I still remember the movie 'Canyon Passage' where he played and sang this song. It was a fun movie as I recall with Dana Andrews in the lead. Quite a few years back but still memorable.
I have Bing Crosby's cover of this on a record, but I'm glad I found the Hoagy Carmicheal version. I was born in the 90s but I love classic tunes. The older the better.
Thanks for posting this wonderful classic. They don't write music like this anymore. Does anyone have a copy of Home Coming by Hoagy?? I'm looking for that one too.
OMG what a beautiful forgotten treasure!!! I remember this on the Capehart Console RADIO!!! I was born in 1943!!!! TenStarsplus!!!!!! Thanks for posting this!!!!
The PA system of SS Orbita played this continually as she returned the families of the British 8th army from Egypt in 1948. What memories it evokes (I was 7 at the time). Thanks for posting it.
