When we 1st wanted to implement social security, there were cries of socialism. The same is true of unemployment, food stamps, medicaid and a slew of other government programs that the majority of Americans now take for granted. They have also come to like these programs because they help all Americans, liberal and conservative.

i'm certain simple mathematical concepts escape you, however the majority of the programs i mentioned above have been in place for about 80 years throughout a multitude of both republican and democratic administrations without any sort of ignorant cries of "socialism" to dispute their effectiveness in our society.

i live in connecticut, i'm a medical professional and do quite well. even before this election at least 1/3 of my gross went missing from my salary between state and federal taxes. these bitches have no clue what its like to be penalized....

yes, a lot of mortgage owners don't have much of a safety net to protect them from default if their income stream is interrupted. i'm a renter myself but i worry a lot about my parents. i also worry what will happen if my landlord defaults.

my safety net was obliterated when the market crashed and mother fuckers like kramer advised that we leave our investments alone and suggested that if we all pulled out our money, there would be even bigger problems.
