  • Dude what is that Blair Witch looking trinket hanging by your closet?

  • nice rifle!

  • How do you like the 16 inch barrel with Carbine length gas system? i want one but is it fairly harsh when it cycles?

  • @snowboarddude117

Nah, and I use the Federal XM193 almost exclusively in it.

  • wassup mini14er. i just bought a model 1 and i am curious if i should use the new WPA wolf ammo? i have 7 days left to wait until i can take the rifle home and i really want to test the sucker out. 500/$110 shipped for WPA, or should i pay a little more for AE223 - PMC bronze target - silver bear. all about .31 a pop.

  • @blaziankhmer

Honestly, just about all the steel-cased ammo Russian import stuff is OK to shoot. I routinely shoot Wolf or Brown Bear with the Mini-14. I tend to stick with the brass-cased stuff in my ARs only because of the inherently weak design in the extractor. That having been said, I don't avoid steel-cased in my Stag--and it has never jammed.

  • @Minifourteener well since you said it's OK stuff, im going to take your word for it and try the WPA. after purchasing an SR9, a 10/22 and customizing it, than now an AR im kind of on a serious bugdet (3 firearms in 4 months). be back in a week to tell you how it went.

  • @blaziankhmer

Cool--thanks for the endorsement. Just keep that carrier lubed and it should do fine. I just picked up an SR9c--I thinks it's a real nice pistol.

  • @Minifourteener i went with the AE223, $160(incl shipping) for 520 with two free dry boxes. i will try the wpa later since it is very cheap at $187 for 1000 rounds. but i have a question 44mag . com DnH or pmags? i can get 4 DnH including shipping for the price of 3 pmags free shipping. metal teflon looks cooler but i know the pmags are the best out there. any opinions on it? oh you decided to pick up the SR9c, i love my SR9 no issues besides one really bad ammo that was deformed.

  • @Minifourteener i let a guy test it out and he didn't cheap the ammo before he loaded it. i usually inspect the white box ammo before i load them. i guess he was so happy to fire his first semi-auto and didn't notice it. other than that it is an awesome firearm. i trust it with my life.

  • Nice video, you smart, well spoken, brainiack of a gun lovin Mfer!!!!!! LOL its cool to see smart guys into guns!!! kinda scary because your the type....if ya know what I mean. All jokes aside good video sir, even though I felt I was back in college.

  • Great video man. I enjoyed it. Theres no doubt Stags are fantastic rifles the only thing that I dont understand is why they dont use M4 feed ramps and Mil-Spec steel on their barrels. I understand its not needed for the semi autos but its nice to have.

  • well spoken video sir, thank you.

wondering if you can tell me the weight of the rifle when fully stock?

  • @THarrisson

I've never weighed it, but with a 30 rnd mag of M193, I can trek with it all day. Must be 8.5 lbs?

  • @Minifourteener What's the difference in 5.56 and 5.56x39 NATO?

  • @reptile202

The 5.56x45mm NATO round is the US standard for M-16/M4 platforms and they fire a .224 bullet. You must be referring to the 5.45x39 cartridge which is the Russian small arms rifle round. It came about in the 1970s along with the AK-74 rifle to replace the AK-47. 5.45s fire a roughly .21 caliber bullet at about 2600fps. 5.45 is not a NATO standard, but it is largely believed to be a response to the US introduction of the 5.56 in Vietnam.

  • @Minifourteener It could be a mistake on the website part? But some of the websites has .223/5.56 for their AR-15s while others just have 5.56x39 NATO. Is the normal 5.56 (not listed as x39 nato) another word for .223?

  • @reptile202

Remember, its 5.56x45, not 5.56x39. The 5.45x39 is the Russian cartridge, and a lot of AR uppers are made as conversions so shooters can use surplus ammo. Essentially, yes, the 5.56 (5.56x45 or 5.56 NATO, M193, M855) cartridge is dimensionally the same as .223 Remington. 5.56, however, is higher pressure, and the throat/leade of 5.56 rifles is different. Basically, one can shoot 5.56 or .223 in a 5.56 rifle, but it is unwise to shoot 5.56 in a .223--even though both will fit.

  • @reptile202

In fact, because there are so many numbers and stuff going on here, I think I'll do a video on this subject.
