The Guy in the begining at 0:16 Seems to be like a lot of worldly people in this world who loves this sin and are not willing to truily turn to God with their hearts although they say that they are christains (or other are another religion or athiest.)
People like this are really stuck in the matrix and it takes only the holy spirit of God to get us out. though the preaching of the gospel.
Far out wouldn't let me finish the rest but God can't compromise his justice that's why he had to die to offer man a way out. You don't want to end up in hell dude. Repent and trust in Christ dnt gve up ure soul 2 sin it ain't with it.
NO kubush! Hiding a Jew from a nazi isn't lieing it's preserving the innocent of human life. Just like if some one comes into McDonalds spraying a machine gun at children and I hit him high and you hit him low and we killed him that's not murder it's protecting the innocence of human life duh! And yeah because God is perfect he in order for him to send Satan and ne one who chooses to follow that sinful road to jutice ie hell he had to incarnate himself as a man and take our punishment. He's pe
This guy Joey, with the Jesus tattoo on his chest; strangest thing, I met him at a small carnival in our small town of Shelton Washington on 6-4-2011. I recognized his voice from this video, introduced myself, and got a chance to talk to him about his conversation with Ray. He was excited to be noticed, gave me an emblem with a pic of CHRIST, said GOD bless, and agreed to ride with me across town to meet my brother Jay, who also knew him from the video; Jay was surprised; no such thing as chance
"Firstly, God is just and holy" That is a false assumption on your part. Your premise is faulty therefor the rest of your argument is as well.
"an innocent life given, then the debt has been paid" How does that make ANY sense? How does punishing another absolve you of your actions? That is not moral nor just. Why would a "loving" god require a living sacrifice in the first place?
The assumption that God doesn't exist is a poor one based solely off of lack of knowledge contrary to the assumption that having more knowledge means that a perfect being cannot exist. In fact to know for sure that there is no God, you have to know everything, and in order for that to happen you have to be God. If you truly want to make a decision off of Christianity, i pray you read about Jesus, and all the good he did, to save a whole world, by giving his life. Why? Because thats what love is.
I love how christians are taking the time to minister to those who dont believe but some people need to listen to Ray and Kirk because the way they witness is based on the bible. Also please dont get into arguments with people who dont believe give them the word and leave it at that.
@GMTJ2 The Bible is full of ridiculous supernatural events and a plethora of malevolent acts committed by God. Even if there was a 'creator' of the universe....I cannot imagine that he had anything to do with the Bible. I would have more respect for such a being.
@CynicalSkeptic1 I am not sure why you have to rule out a creator of a universe. It would only make sense for there to be a creator as the world needs a start point, and the universe cannot be its on start point. Therefore it must come from an outside source. On the issue of respect, respect is primarily perceived, we all respect different type of people, therefore, I am pretty sure that you can come to respect God who protected those who followed them, because he made that promise.
@7342516 "I am not sure why you have to rule out a creator of a universe." & "It would only make sense for there to be a creator as the world needs a start point, and the universe cannot be its on start point." - By your own logic then how can God be his own start point?
"Therefore it must come from an outside source." - Based on what? How do you come to this conclusion? Why is it more probable than the universe always existing?
@7342516 "On the issue of respect, respect is primarily perceived, we all respect different type of people, therefore, I am pretty sure that you can come to respect God.. " - Respect is actually an arbitrary subset of Values which vary based on culture, race and creed.
I think their approach with the guy with the Jesus tatoo in his heart could have been more effective to make him understand the value of Christ and his life. The guy said he didn't care that he would burn in hell but he had Jesus tattooed in his heart. They should have asked "if you're not concerned that your soul is burning forever in hell, what does this Jesus tatooed in your heart means to you?"
We should want to be saved because God is holy and deserves our commitment, not out of fear of going to hell. I'm unsure about people preaching the reason to be saved in any other way. Please explain why it is or isn't ok, I want opinions :)

What most people miss about Jesus' sacrifice, is the fact that He was God long before He came to earth in flesh. He was there when God created the heavens and the earth. It was all created through Jesus - the spoken Word. He had all the glory - and then He came to earth to be born in a stall. "Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men."
@h3rbsman: the mere fact that christians are even taking the time to talk to these people is a nice thing.. and all you can focus on is that the scare tactic that they use...seriously let them SUGARCOAT it and see if its as effective hahaha.. not all peeps are like you and would take the message serious had it been sugarcoated but everyone get scared...
I have yet to meet a Christian who can explain the death/resurrection thing. They try, oh lordy do they try, but all you get is mantra, dogma and empty words. What was the sacrifice? Jesus was supposedly God, so quite frankly, I'm not impressed if he got a beating. He can take it. He came back to life? Big deal. Again, he's a god, he can do that kind of thing. He stayed dead for parts of 3 days, then returned to be worshipped for eternity. A sacrifice? Where do I sign up?
GOD said that the word became flesh, which means Jesus felt every lash he took, mind you, 40 lashes with broken bones and sharp glass on the end of the whip, which tore off his skin. They shoved a crown made with thorns on his head, then they nailed his hands and feet to a tall wooden cross. The Bible says that he wasn't even recognizable! All this done to a innocent man. All for the love of the world! No sacrifice you say?...
I know a lot of people would go through that same beating if they got the payoff that Jesus received. He got to be GOD (again) after that! I'm sure he was not the most tortured, beaten person who ever lived, either (and I'm not convinced he ever lived).
If I give you all my money on Friday morning, knowing full well I have a $100,000,000 winning lottery ticket to cash in on Sunday night, what have I sacrificed? So I'm poor for 2 days, so what? If Jesus "took my place" he should be in hell.
How is that not a demostration of love! Just like those soldiers that go over seas to war. They don't do it for the money, fame, fortune. No! Its becuz they love this country, and it's people even if they go over there and DIE! Its a sacrifice that they are willing to take for us. And I am truly greatful. Jesus died so you wouldn't go to hell forever. I am eternally greatful!!!!!!
When a soldier dies, they are mere mortals and they stay dead. When the character of Jesus died, he had the advantage of being not only a man, but a god. (How else could he have resurrected if he wasn't a god?) Therein lies the difference. I'm not impressed that a god could "die" then come back to life. What's the sacrifice in that? Did Jesus take my place or did he not? If he didn't, then Christians need to stop saying that. If he DID, then why is he not in hell, in my place?
Jesus did not resurrect because he was God. He resurrected because he hadn't sinned before as a human. Death is the consequence of sin. If you didn't sin, you wouldn't die. And that, according to God's standards, happened only once in the history of the world - it was the life of Jesus. That is why death could not hold him - because he hadn't sinned. And he died in the first place because he took the sins of all the people in the world when he was on the cross. It was a very conscious sacrifice
@worldsworstjukebox "How else could he have resurrected if he wasn't a god?" Easy, he didn't. (btw, the bible says that the dead rose, aka resurrected. So Jesus supposedly wasn't the only one.)
@chris2446229 According to your theology, Jesus didn't die, nor did he sacrifice anything. If he is god as your bible claims, then he didn't die. He simply transformed back into his spirit form to rule heaven for all eternity. Tell me, what kind of sacrifice is that? What exactly has this all powerful being given up?
It is ignorant to believe that most ppl sign up for military service for the love of their country. It is usually because boys love guns and the govt pays for your college.
Even before his death, Jesus suffered great metal and physical damage. His two close diciples falls asleep on him the night he was praying follow by getting arrested. Then another follower Judas, betrays him with a kiss. He faced two unfair trials. A leader paid people to give false testomony about Jesus. So this meant that the guilty verdict was reached before the evidence was explored. But Jesus standed firm. He didn't defend himself, he rises above the hypocrisy.
(See my comment to the above post.) How is that a sacrifice? It sounds more like an inconvenience for an all powerful god. I don't see how an innocent man paying the price for a guilty man is justice or fair at all. The guilty should pay, not the innocent. If Jesus truly paid the price and took my my place then he should be in hell, NOT ruling in heaven.
The resurrection of Christ, is so important. If Christ did not rise, the whole sceme of redemption is a failure. "If Christ be not risen, our faith is in vain," 1 Cor. 15-14.
It is victory over death and the grave!
It is GOD's acceptance of his work.
"Our justice was secured by his obedience to death and therefore he is raised from the dead," Rom 4-25
@worldsworstjukebox The death of jesus was ordained from the beginning of time because God knew how everything would unfold so he knew the only way to release your case was to have someone pay your fine, but they couldnt be a criminal to pay it so he had to pay it himself
@GMTJ2 If he knew then why did he make rules that he knew we could not follow? Why would he create satan? Why wouldn't he stop suffering?
And you say it is the "only way". NONSENSE! God could forgive without having to sacrifice himself to himself. "couldn't be a criminal to pay it" Again, nonsense. Why not a criminal? God can supposedly do anything, including accepting a criminal for a sacrifice.
@kubush Its just like trying to end aa war with war it doesnt make any sense and plus it would just get bigger. He created Lucifer as an angel to worship him but he got prideful and so GOD kicked him out of heaven. It seems like the rules GOD made are to strict and that He is just a dictator because of the sin nature in us doesnt want to submit to the holiness of GOD but once you come to jesus those rules dont seem so bad cause you then realize they are to protect you from different dangers
@GMTJ2 What a silly story. A perfect being created an imperfect rebellious being, knowing full well when he created him that he would be like that and then he punishes his creation for it. What nonsense. The rules aren't so much strict as they are ridiculous. Can't pick up sticks on Sunday? How stupid.
Most people say that they don't believe in God because they don't want to be held accountable for their sins. But that still doesn't avoid the fact that God is real. God is love. How is this beautiful message of love repellent to some people. Doesn't everyone need love? But one thing I do know is there is hope. Because I've seen a homosexual, a muslim, an atheist, all come to Jesus. And now they serve Jesus with all their heart. & their life is so much better than it ever was before. Amen
So for me to get into heaven, God had to have a baby, and send him on a suicide mission, who was really himself, and sacrificed himself, to himself, in order to please himself? I guess it never occurred to God that he could just prevent getting his ass kicked by creating a humanly obtainable set of moral behavior and conduct by which he could accurately measure humanity and forgive those who asked for forgiveness to get them into heaven.
some of you are blind to his word. Study more into it before making a conclusion to what you think, or in other words, what you'd like to think of God. eternity. time.
How can an infinite being such as god sacrifice his life??? God does not die and can manifest himself physically whenever he feels like it.
And where is free will in all of this? Do I get a choice in what is regarded as sin or do I get a choice to not let someone die for me? Wouldnt a more adequate sacrifice be to spend all eternity in hell like everyone else that has sinned...that is if jesus really did die FOR your SINS?
@kubush You do get a choice as to what is sin but at your souls expense. Salavation is a free gift you dont have to accept it. Its like getting and giving gifts the person doesnt have to accept it but you would love for them to accept it.
@kubush The difference in the mafia and christianity is that they kill people everyday and because they feel like they can. Christianity on the other hand had one sacrifice for eternity because without the sheding of blood there can be no remission of sins.
@GMTJ2 Oh? And in the bible God doesn't kill people all the time because he feels like it? lol. Prior to Jesus, Jews would sacrifice animals to your god. How primitive. Then homes Christianity with a human blood sacrifice....disgusting. It is sick. A religion based on a blood sacrifice of a human.
@kubush A human sacrifice is disgusting? Well that term does sound a bit harsh! However lets look at the intention of the sacrifice. Firstly, God is just and holy, therefore sin cannot exist within God. The punishment for sin is death, because sin is unholy. Now if there is an innocent life given, then the debt has been paid. However the point im making is that Jesus WILLINGLY gave his life, so that we may be saved. The intention is what you must look at, rather than the negative term.
@kubush Very sorry!! havent been on in a while!! Firstly
I never disagreed with the fact that a human sacrifice is disgusting. Rather I implore you to actually evaluate the reason for the human sacrifice, which was that of sin, and by definition sin is the most disgusting thing. Therefore, the only way to be pure is by paying for the penalty of the sin which is death, then there must have been a sacrifice to pay for that sin. and from this disgusting thing, came the chance for everlasting life.
@7342516 That is why religion is bad. It causes normally good people to believe in evil things. Sin by definition is disobedience to a non-existent being. So no, it isn't the most disgusting thing. Even IF this being existed, one would have to be blind to see that murder is worse than "worshiping other gods".
How selfish of you! You'll accept the blood sacrifice of another for your own benefit? Immoral.
@kubush Look at it this way. If someone breaks the law, what do they become? A law breaker. Regardless of what law they broke, the law has been broken and their punishment must be carried out. And the definition of sin is breaking God's law and law in general THEREFORE it encompasses all disgusting things and in and of itself BECOMES the most disgusting thing. And how does throwing condemnations around prove your point my friend? I accept this sacrifice because this was God's gift to the world.
@kubush We never demanded this of Him, but he gave it to us because he loves us. In the same way, I wouldnt call you selfish and immoral for accepting a present, because it was given to you, and you accepted it. Rather it could almost be said that the person not accepting the gifts was immoral and stubborn for not accepting a gift given. What warrant do you have for all religion being bad?
@7342516 "Rather it could almost be said that the person not accepting the gifts was immoral and stubborn for not accepting a gift given."
Really? So if I handed you the severed head of your mother in a hand basket as a gift, and you refused, that would make YOU immoral??? Think about that.
@kubush Hahaha!! Well, im sure that a gross exaggeration was inevitable. That example was awful, taken completely out of context, and vulgar. I feel as if addressing it would be wrong however I shall. Firstly the gift wasnt Christs head, it was the life to die for our sins. What cant you understand about love? Love is sacrifice... it is giving something up for someone because you truly care about them. God's gift given to you is eternal life through the blood of Christ, not Christ himself.
@7342516 A severed head in a box and a tortured man being hung up and nailed to a post are both equally repulsive. You just make excuses for the latter. According to your theology, Jesus never REALLY died. He supposedly went to Hell for 3 days, came back, then went to rule Heaven for eternity. Where is the sacrifice? What does Jesus not have now that he had prior? Nonetheless, having a human sacrifice for the basis of your religion is crazy and disgusting.
@kubush Also consider who ever said Christianity is a religion? Its a faith. In religion you do good works because you want to get saved. In the Christian faith, you do good works and love because you have already been saved, by Jesus Christ. You reflect his love for everyone the same way because we have done nothing to be saved. Rather God saved us because he loves us, not because of our religious works.
@7342516 Christianity by definition is a religion. Who are we being "saved" from? Oh...YOUR GOD! How about he not punish us in the first place? Or how about he just forgive us without killing anyone? Why didn't God send a "savior" the first time around before killing nearly every living thing alive with a global flood? Why didn't God send a bolt of lightening to kill people like Hitler? And don't tell me he can't intervene becuz of free will when we seem him doing it constantly in the bible.
Secondly, my premise comes from the Bible, thus is not faulty due to the fact that the Bible claims that God is just and holy and thus giving my claim warrant. However if you are unwilling to accept this then look at it from secular terms. God, in the Bible, claims to be holy; this debate is resting on the assumption that God can exist or we would not be debating. Therefore if the Bible claims that God is holy and just we must accept this as true as this is a core christian belief.
@7342516 " my premise comes from the Bible" And that gives it credibility how? The Bible was written by men, which as you said "CLAIMS" that God is just and holy. For the sake of argument, lets assume that God exists...what makes you think that the CHRISTIAN God exists? What makes you believe that the Bible is true? Why the heck would I just accept something as true without any good reason or evidence to believe it? Maybe you should re-evaluate how and why you believe things.
@kubush Well, if you are under the assumption that everything is false then lets apply that to scientific discoveries. They are written by man... which according to your logic is false. There must be a point in which we can accept something as true. If you wish to run a skepticism argument, then me and you both know that it wont go very far. and the CHRISTIAN God exists based solely on the fact that religion is considered moral, and the bible has proved itself morally as well as scientifically.
You should take a course in logic because you are seriously lacking. I never made the claim that something is wrong simply because it is written by men. The point in which we accept something as true is if it has EVIDENCE to support it!!! "the CHRISTIAN God exists based solely on the fact that religion is considered moral" Sure....EXCEPT that THAT IS NOT A FACT but a matter of OPINION! I would argue that religion is absolutely NOT moral. The Bible is immensely immoral and 100% unscientific.
@kubush Technically, by saying that men wrote the Bible and claimed God was Holy, you were insinuating that the accuracy had to be question and therefore using the transitive property, stating that men's accuracy could be questioned. And evidence to support it? YouTube doesnt allow me to post very much but if you want evidence and truly are interested in this debate then do look at this link does god exist. org.
@7342516 Yes, I was insinuating that the accuracy had to be questioned. That is a far cry from saying that whatever is written by men is automatically wrong. The bible is written by men, therefor it is fallible and does not have any kind of special authority.
How does commanding that individuals live a life of righteousness, teaching them not to lie, to love their neighbors as themselves, to turn the other cheek when they are being attacked, to not judge, to not murder, to honor their parents, and so much more. When society to judge, to do what makes us happy, to lie if you must, to get even, and a great deal of immoral things, how do you call the Bible immoral when it advocates morals as a basis of life?
@7342516 "Love thy neighbor" meant that the Jew should love his neighbor JEW. You are taking it out of context. Turning the other cheek when being attacked is not always a good idea and sometimes lying can help save a life. Not all parents should be honored, like those that beat or molest their kids. Humanistic based ethics are far more superior than what is written in the bible. Killing people because of disbelief or sexuality is IMMORAL!
Hi. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The Bible says that there is neither Jew nor Greek. "Thy neighbor" means all people. Lying is an abomination to God. Even child molesting parents can be honored by weekly visits and the love of Christ. The New Covenant does not give license to kill unbelievers or immoral people. Concerning "Humanistic ethics," what is that? Is it a set of rules created by people? If they make their own rules, why can't mass murderers do the same? Without God, nothing is bad.
@shilohrenovation Wrong. The commandments were JEWISH laws and "thy neighbor" referred to your Jewish neighbor. So lying to the Nazis about hiding Jews in your attic would be an abomination to you God? Goes to show what an immoral deity you serve. Child molesters should not be honored. Again, just goes to show how religious destroys people's natural moral compass. Your God commanded the death of gays and non-believers. Surely, you mean without the magical moral fairies, nothing is bad.
Lastly, the punishment for sin is death. This is what the Bible tell us. Now look at it in secular terms, if you kill someone (sin) this results in the payment of your own life, whether it be in prison or death row. Same with stealing, however the punishment is less potent. Therefore punishment is a common reaction to sin, due to the fact that people are punished by their life without even considering what it says in the Bible.
part 2: (sorry for the length!!) Now one thing that we dont have as humans is compassion. In fact, we would not allow someone innocent to take the place of a guilty man, as an act of kindness. Therefore a loving God is actually proving himself in allowing someone innocent to take the place and allowing compassion to exist. What YOU'RE suggesting is that people should be allowed to do whatever they please and not be punished, because apparently they shouldn't be punished.
@7342516 "In fact, we would not allow someone innocent to take the place of a guilty man" I would argue that THAT IS compassion and moral! God would not be proving himself a loving god for KILLING an innocent person for the sake of others. THAT is wrong and immoral.
"YOU'RE suggesting is that people should be allowed to do whatever they please and not be punished" Really? WHERE did I suggest that???
part 3: And how is compassion not moral? In fact i believe compassion is one of the strongest and most basic morals in existence. You demand that God be both moral and just, and he has found that balance in punishing those who are truly evil, yet allowing forgiveness to exist. Now to address punishing how that absolves you of your actions. If sin is committed, the opposite reaction must be justification of that sin, REGARDLESS of who is the subject of the justification.
@7342516 Funny though because your god doesn't punish according to what is good or evil; he punishes according to BELIEF and praise of him. If you accept Jesus into your heart you are saved from damnation no matter how many evil and vile acts you committed, whilst people like Gandhi are burning in hell simply for not believing in the right god. That is not a moral or loving or just system.
@kubush Im not exactly sure if you have read the Bible, but God does punish based off of sin as well. And in case you were wondering disbelief is a sin in and of itself. And no, Christians that claim to be Christians but never actually follow God's law are wrong as well. In James it says faith without deeds is dead, therefore their faith is dead if they dont act accordingly with their faith. And there is a reason for why Gandhi is there, is due to the fact that if he ever broke God's law.
@7342516 Why is disbelief a sin? How is that immoral? "but never actually follow God's law are wrong as well" So you never wear mixed fabrics? Or eat shell fish? Do you stone homosexuals? Cuz if you don't then you aren't keeping god's laws and you arent being a true christian.
Yes, and if Hitler repented on his death bed he is in Heaven.....what an awesome system of justice!
Hi.Thanks for writing. "Disbelief" is not a sin. However, if you have lied or stolen, then you will be judged as a lying thief. How could it be otherwise? Should God allow thieves into heaven? Of course not. Concerning mixed fabrics, etc., the old law says that there will be a new law. Fabrics, stoning gays and adulterers, etc., is not part of the Christian faith. Concerning the justification of the worst sinners, Christ, Who is the Creator, paid the penalty for the entire creation, even yours!
@shilohrenovation Disbelief sure as heck is a sin according to the bible. It is the number one criteria for getting into heaven or suffering in hell because no matter what sin you do, you can be forgiven as long as you believe in Jesus. Labeling someone a thief or a liar means that they are habitual in their behavior. Lying once or stealing once does not make you a lying thief. Should he allow thieves into Heaven, OF COURSE! Oh right, God sacrificed himself to himself. Makes sense.
PART 2: he needed to ask for forgiveness, rather he justified himself and in this removed himself from God's presence. The quality of life is immeasurable by human standards due to the fact that it is completely subjective however God has standards that are perfect, because HE is perfect. Therefore once we break these laws then we must ask for forgiveness, that doesnt make us a bad person, just in need of being forgiven.
part 4: Now, the life of a lamb used to be given to absolve them of their sin so that they would not have to perish. But people stopped doing such things and the world was at a point where it needed a perfect savior to absolve us of sin for once and for all. Jesus Christ came and paid the sin for us all, that we would not have to perish and could spend eternity with God, who loved us enough to send his only son to pay the price of our sin.
@7342516 "Now, the life of a lamb used to be given to absolve them of their sin" Oh yes, ritual animal blood sacrifices...how savage and immoral for a god to require such an immoral thing. You really don't find anything repulsive or wrong with that??? Why would God make sin inheritable in the first place!?!?!
This first guy has to know who Comfort is or at least he sees these sanctimonious jack offs for who they are. Idiots who can't accept what it real, and have to put their faith in fairy tales made up by people 2000 years ago and more that couldn't keep their own feces out of their food!!
No it dose not bother me that thay do the same thing. Truth dose not change. The wages of Sin is Death. Jesus came to die for us on the cross and save us if we trust in him.. What are you looking for that is difrent? Do you need further explaing do you have questions?
It just seems to be interesting that if there topic is anything from evolution to hell, they always end up with we're all evil and deserve to be tortured unless we pay lip service to a jewish carpenter who was beaten by romans.
No one gets into heaven by paying lip service to Jesus. They have to be sincere in their repentance, otherwise they're not repenting at all. You and I both know that God knows if we're paying him lipservice.
That jewish carpenter who was beaten romans endured that for you, b/c he loves you.
ohhh myyy fucking god!! i cannot believe this video! how he controls and manages people to say what he wants calling them all those things, this just goes to prove that religion wants to control people and thats it, thjis is an exact prove of that.
I'm not Muslim. I was just making the point that no matter what religion you are a part of, you are betting that all the others are wrong.
Here's a hypothetical. What if god does exist, but he designed the universe to make it look like he didn't and he will send all theists to hell and reward all atheists with eternal life?
ya thats cool. I think im gonna tell my evangelical friends i believe in evolution. they wont take that lightly theyll probably say "satan has gotten to me" or something silly
Another thing religious people must explain: if there is only one god, why did he left a Bible, Koran and Jewish Bible(sorry i dont know the name). and what makes you think your religion is the right one? its a gamble in my eyes.
religion is nothing but a way leaders used to keep the people from rebelling. Its like telling a child "if you're a good boy, you'll get some candy" and in this case the candy offered is the human's greatest wish: eternal life.
let me ask you guys a ? how do we know the wind is real i cant see the wind so why should i believe that wind is real and how do i know i have a heart i have never personaly seen my heart so how do i know? and to answer consumedinformerj's ? we dont believe we should beat our kids with rods and we dont reject most of the bible as barbaric
Well, I might agree that Jesus could have been more insane than the rest, or honestly thought that. Still, a man say he is the son of god, nor millions of men saying another is the son of god does not mean that he is the son of god.
The martrs never claimed to be the son of God. Only Jesus did. The bible sais that Jesus never sinned. Jesus said that He would die for us and take away our sins. Jesus took our sins on that cross and he paid instead of us. That's the difference.
You could say you were the son of god and that he sent you to save the world. No one would believe you (unless you started a cult). Can we argue with you, disprove that you are the son of god? Not likely. Sadly, like the story of Jesus, this gives us no reason to actually believe you are the son of god, let alone trust what you say.
How about the miracles that Jesus perfomed. How he gave sight to the blind, healed the sick, and raised Lazarus fromt the dead? He said that He came to die so that we may have eternal life if we believe in Him.
People believe these things happened, we don't know they happened. The bible alone cannot stand as evidence for something that happened so long ago, especially when much of it was written generations after Jesus supposedly lived.
But you see, that's what faith is all about. Look around you..do you think all this just happened? Look outside, at sunsets, the sky, the birds, everything.
Even though men wrote it, God used those men to write it, therefore, its almost like if God wrote it himself. People have freewill to write whatever they please, that's true, but when it comes to the word of God, they cannot change it because God's purpose is for us to know the truth through His word so that we may live because He loves us. Therefore he will not let it be turned into a lie so that we may be lost.
Just like a building needed a creator to be built, so do us, and this earth and all of creation. Even today, people are healed through the name of Jesus Christ and many other miracles happen in His name. Its not just a coincidence. Yes, without faith, one might say that the bible is not true, but if you have faith you would know that the almighty God who is in control of everything, is also in control of His word (the bible).
I suppose you think the earth is under 10,000 years old as well? Or that we should beat our children with rods and stone family members who don't believe in your god, or believe in another god? If the word of god in bible is so truthful, why do we reject much of what it says as barbaric?
"Just like a building needed a creator to be built, so do us, and this earth and all of creation"
Builduings are inanimate, you can't compare buildings with human beings.
Buildings don't grow by themselves, the don't feed, they don't reproduce. Humans can give life to other humans so, the creators are the females in this world.
Because open minded people consider all sides of an argument to the best of their ability, regardless of how ridiculous and slanted the "evidence" may be. Kirk Cameron is a fool above all fools, eclipsed only by his protege Ray Comfort. I am impressed that this user has even allowed comments or responses, many christians do not because they fear scathing criticism of ephemeral beliefs.
"That's EXACTLY what Satan wants you to do, which ironically is your screen... "
Suposing satan exists, there's no evidence that satan exists, no one has ever seen him, no one has ever been to hell and come back to tell us, all we are doing is suposing satan or hell exist.
"My SN is based on martial arts the dragon is gloryfied (which is probably part of Satans plan)"
Ohh c'mon, now everything is satan's plan? the fact some culture gloryfied dragons or other mythologycal creatures has nothing to do with the devil, c'mon.
Thank you Oh Lord God! Thank you for your mercy and grace, for you are the Almighty Loving God, that gave his only son to die on a cross, so that I and world shall not see the depths of hell, but so we may have an everlasting relationship with you in heaven, for you are mighty, and by your grace alone are our sins forgiven. Amen.

People like this are really stuck in the matrix and it takes only the holy spirit of God to get us out. though the preaching of the gospel.

@GMTJ2 The Bible is full of ridiculous supernatural events and a plethora of malevolent acts committed by God. Even if there was a 'creator' of the universe....I cannot imagine that he had anything to do with the Bible. I would have more respect for such a being.
CynicalSkeptic1 1 year ago

I think their approach with the guy with the Jesus tatoo in his heart could have been more effective to make him understand the value of Christ and his life. The guy said he didn't care that he would burn in hell but he had Jesus tattooed in his heart. They should have asked "if you're not concerned that your soul is burning forever in hell, what does this Jesus tatooed in your heart means to you?"

Where do I sign up?
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
GOD said that the word became flesh, which means Jesus felt every lash he took, mind you, 40 lashes with broken bones and sharp glass on the end of the whip, which tore off his skin. They shoved a crown made with thorns on his head, then they nailed his hands and feet to a tall wooden cross. The Bible says that he wasn't even recognizable! All this done to a innocent man. All for the love of the world! No sacrifice you say?...
chris2446229 2 years ago
I know a lot of people would go through that same beating if they got the payoff that Jesus received. He got to be GOD (again) after that! I'm sure he was not the most tortured, beaten person who ever lived, either (and I'm not convinced he ever lived).
If I give you all my money on Friday morning, knowing full well I have a $100,000,000 winning lottery ticket to cash in on Sunday night, what have I sacrificed? So I'm poor for 2 days, so what? If Jesus "took my place" he should be in hell.
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
How is that not a demostration of love! Just like those soldiers that go over seas to war. They don't do it for the money, fame, fortune. No! Its becuz they love this country, and it's people even if they go over there and DIE! Its a sacrifice that they are willing to take for us. And I am truly greatful. Jesus died so you wouldn't go to hell forever. I am eternally greatful!!!!!!
chris2446229 2 years ago
When a soldier dies, they are mere mortals and they stay dead. When the character of Jesus died, he had the advantage of being not only a man, but a god. (How else could he have resurrected if he wasn't a god?) Therein lies the difference. I'm not impressed that a god could "die" then come back to life. What's the sacrifice in that? Did Jesus take my place or did he not? If he didn't, then Christians need to stop saying that. If he DID, then why is he not in hell, in my place?
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
Jesus did not resurrect because he was God. He resurrected because he hadn't sinned before as a human. Death is the consequence of sin. If you didn't sin, you wouldn't die. And that, according to God's standards, happened only once in the history of the world - it was the life of Jesus. That is why death could not hold him - because he hadn't sinned. And he died in the first place because he took the sins of all the people in the world when he was on the cross. It was a very conscious sacrifice
thatswhenyouask 1 year ago
@worldsworstjukebox "How else could he have resurrected if he wasn't a god?" Easy, he didn't. (btw, the bible says that the dead rose, aka resurrected. So Jesus supposedly wasn't the only one.)
kubush 1 year ago

He didn't defend himself, he rises above the hypocrisy.
chris2446229 2 years ago
(See my comment to the above post.) How is that a sacrifice? It sounds more like an inconvenience for an all powerful god. I don't see how an innocent man paying the price for a guilty man is justice or fair at all. The guilty should pay, not the innocent. If Jesus truly paid the price and took my my place then he should be in hell, NOT ruling in heaven.
worldsworstjukebox 2 years ago
The resurrection of Christ, is so important. If Christ did not rise, the whole sceme of redemption is a failure. "If Christ be not risen, our faith is in vain," 1 Cor. 15-14.
It is victory over death and the grave!
It is GOD's acceptance of his work.
"Our justice was secured by his obedience to death and therefore he is raised from the dead," Rom 4-25
His blood was ransom for sinners.
The kingdom of darkness has been overruled!
SO he lives!!! And we shall live also!!!!

@GMTJ2 What a silly story. A perfect being created an imperfect rebellious being, knowing full well when he created him that he would be like that and then he punishes his creation for it. Amen
tbrooks2579 2 years ago
So for me to get into heaven, God had to have a baby, and send him on a suicide mission, who was really himself, and sacrificed himself, to himself, in order to please himself? I guess it never occurred to God that he could just prevent getting his ass kicked by creating a humanly obtainable set of moral behavior and conduct by which he could accurately measure humanity and forgive those who asked for forgiveness to get them into heaven.

Its all non-sense.

@GMTJ2 Really? So I can change God's rules? Think about that.
If the gift was a bleeding human being...you would accept that? You'd like the mafia.
kubush 1 year ago
@kubush The difference in the mafia and christianity is that they kill people everyday and because they feel like they can. Christianity on the other hand had one sacrifice for eternity because without the sheding of blood there can be no remission of sins.
GMTJ2 1 year ago
@GMTJ2 Oh? And in the bible God doesn't kill people all the time because he feels like it? lol. Prior to Jesus, Jews would sacrifice animals to your god. How primitive. Then homes Christianity with a human blood sacrifice....disgusting. It is sick. A religion based on a blood sacrifice of a human.
kubush 1 year ago
@kubush A human sacrifice is disgusting? Well that term does sound a bit harsh! However lets look at the intention of the sacrifice. Firstly, God is just and holy, therefore sin cannot exist within God. The punishment for sin is death, because sin is unholy. Now if there is an innocent life given, then the debt has been paid. However the point im making is that Jesus WILLINGLY gave his life, so that we may be saved. The intention is what you must look at, rather than the negative term.
7342516 10 months ago
@7342516 "A human sacrifice is disgusting?" YES

kubush 10 months ago
@kubush Very sorry!! havent been on in a while!! Firstly
I never disagreed with the fact that a human sacrifice is disgusting. Rather I implore you to actually evaluate the reason for the human sacrifice, which was that of sin, and by definition sin is the most disgusting thing. Therefore, the only way to be pure is by paying for the penalty of the sin which is death, then there must have been a sacrifice to pay for that sin. and from this disgusting thing, came the chance for everlasting life.
7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 That is why religion is bad. It causes normally good people to believe in evil things. Sin by definition is disobedience to a non-existent being. So no, it isn't the most disgusting thing. Even IF this being existed, one would have to be blind to see that murder is worse than "worshiping other gods".
How selfish of you! You'll accept the blood sacrifice of another for your own benefit? Immoral.
kubush 9 months ago
@kubush Look at it this way. If someone breaks the law, what do they become? A law breaker. Regardless of what law they broke, the law has been broken and their punishment must be carried out. And the definition of sin is breaking God's law and law in general THEREFORE it encompasses all disgusting things and in and of itself BECOMES the most disgusting thing. And how does throwing condemnations around prove your point my friend? I accept this sacrifice because this was God's gift to the world.
7342516 9 months ago
@kubush We never demanded this of Him, but he gave it to us because he loves us. In the same way, I wouldnt call you selfish and immoral for accepting a present, because it was given to you, and you accepted it. Rather it could almost be said that the person not accepting the gifts was immoral and stubborn for not accepting a gift given. What warrant do you have for all religion being bad?
7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 "Rather it could almost be said that the person not accepting the gifts was immoral and stubborn for not accepting a gift given."
Really? So if I handed you the severed head of your mother in a hand basket as a gift, and you refused, that would make YOU immoral??? Think about that.
kubush 9 months ago
@kubush Hahaha!! Well, im sure that a gross exaggeration was inevitable. That example was awful, taken completely out of context, and vulgar. I feel as if addressing it would be wrong however I shall. Firstly the gift wasnt Christs head, it was the life to die for our sins. What cant you understand about love? Love is sacrifice... it is giving something up for someone because you truly care about them. God's gift given to you is eternal life through the blood of Christ, not Christ himself.
7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 A severed head in a box and a tortured man being hung up and nailed to a post are both equally repulsive. You just make excuses for the latter. According to your theology, Jesus never REALLY died. He supposedly went to Hell for 3 days, came back, then went to rule Heaven for eternity. Where is the sacrifice? What does Jesus not have now that he had prior? Nonetheless, having a human sacrifice for the basis of your religion is crazy and disgusting.
kubush 9 months ago
@kubush Also consider who ever said Christianity is a religion? Its a faith. In religion you do good works because you want to get saved. In the Christian faith, you do good works and love because you have already been saved, by Jesus Christ. You reflect his love for everyone the same way because we have done nothing to be saved. Rather God saved us because he loves us, not because of our religious works.
7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 Christianity by definition is a religion. Who are we being "saved" from? Oh...YOUR GOD! How about he not punish us in the first place? Or how about he just forgive us without killing anyone? Why didn't God send a "savior" the first time around before killing nearly every living thing alive with a global flood? Why didn't God send a bolt of lightening to kill people like Hitler? And don't tell me he can't intervene becuz of free will when we seem him doing it constantly in the bible.
kubush 9 months ago
Secondly, my premise comes from the Bible, thus is not faulty due to the fact that the Bible claims that God is just and holy and thus giving my claim warrant. However if you are unwilling to accept this then look at it from secular terms. God, in the Bible, claims to be holy; this debate is resting on the assumption that God can exist or we would not be debating. Therefore if the Bible claims that God is holy and just we must accept this as true as this is a core christian belief.
7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 " my premise comes from the Bible" And that gives it credibility how? The Bible was written by men, which as you said "CLAIMS" that God is just and holy. For the sake of argument, lets assume that God exists...what makes you think that the CHRISTIAN God exists? What makes you believe that the Bible is true? Why the heck would I just accept something as true without any good reason or evidence to believe it? Maybe you should re-evaluate how and why you believe things.
kubush 9 months ago
@kubush Well, if you are under the assumption that everything is false then lets apply that to scientific discoveries. They are written by man... which according to your logic is false. There must be a point in which we can accept something as true. If you wish to run a skepticism argument, then me and you both know that it wont go very far. and the CHRISTIAN God exists based solely on the fact that religion is considered moral, and the bible has proved itself morally as well as scientifically.
7342516 9 months ago
You should take a course in logic because you are seriously lacking. I never made the claim that something is wrong simply because it is written by men. The point in which we accept something as true is if it has EVIDENCE to support it!!! "the CHRISTIAN God exists based solely on the fact that religion is considered moral" Sure....EXCEPT that THAT IS NOT A FACT but a matter of OPINION! I would argue that religion is absolutely NOT moral. The Bible is immensely immoral and 100% unscientific.
kubush 9 months ago
@kubush Technically, by saying that men wrote the Bible and claimed God was Holy, you were insinuating that the accuracy had to be question and therefore using the transitive property, stating that men's accuracy could be questioned. And evidence to support it? YouTube doesnt allow me to post very much but if you want evidence and truly are interested in this debate then do look at this link does god exist. org.
7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 Yes, I was insinuating that the accuracy had to be questioned. That is a far cry from saying that whatever is written by men is automatically wrong. The bible is written by men, therefor it is fallible and does not have any kind of special authority.
That site is an insult to human intelligence.

7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 "Love thy neighbor" meant that the Jew should love his neighbor JEW. You are taking it out of context. Turning the other cheek when being attacked is not always a good idea and sometimes lying can help save a life. Not all parents should be honored, like those that beat or molest their kids. Humanistic based ethics are far more superior than what is written in the bible. Killing people because of disbelief or sexuality is IMMORAL!
kubush 9 months ago
Without God, nothing is bad.
shilohrenovation 8 months ago
@shilohrenovation Wrong. The commandments were JEWISH laws and "thy neighbor" referred to your Jewish neighbor. So lying to the Nazis about hiding Jews in your attic would be an abomination to you God? Goes to show what an immoral deity you serve. Child molesters should not be honored. Again, just goes to show how religious destroys people's natural moral compass. Your God commanded the death of gays and non-believers. Surely, you mean without the magical moral fairies, nothing is bad.
kubush 8 months ago
Lastly, the punishment for sin is death. This is what the Bible tell us. Now look at it in secular terms, if you kill someone (sin) this results in the payment of your own life, whether it be in prison or death row. Same with stealing, however the punishment is less potent. Therefore punishment is a common reaction to sin, due to the fact that people are punished by their life without even considering what it says in the Bible.
7342516 9 months ago
part 2: (sorry for the length!!) Now one thing that we dont have as humans is compassion.
7342516 9 months ago

@7342516 "In fact, we would not allow someone innocent to take the place of a guilty man" I would argue that THAT IS compassion and moral! God would not be proving himself a loving god for KILLING an innocent person for the sake of others. THAT is wrong and immoral.
"YOU'RE suggesting is that people should be allowed to do whatever they please and not be punished" Really? WHERE did I suggest that???
kubush 9 months ago
part 3: And how is compassion not moral? In fact i believe compassion is one of the strongest and most basic morals in existence. You demand that God be both moral and just, and he has found that balance in punishing those who are truly evil, yet allowing forgiveness to exist. Now to address punishing how that absolves you of your actions. If sin is committed, the opposite reaction must be justification of that sin, REGARDLESS of who is the subject of the justification.
7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 Funny though because your god doesn't punish according to what is good or evil; he punishes according to BELIEF and praise of him. If you accept Jesus into your heart you are saved from damnation no matter how many evil and vile acts you committed, whilst people like Gandhi are burning in hell simply for not believing in the right god. That is not a moral or loving or just system.
kubush 9 months ago

Yes, and if Hitler repented on his death bed he is in Heaven.....what an awesome system of justice!
kubush 9 months ago

7342516 9 months ago
part 4: Now, the life of a lamb used to be given to absolve them of their sin so that they would not have to perish. But people stopped doing such things and the world was at a point where it needed a perfect savior to absolve us of sin for once and for all. Jesus Christ came and paid the sin for us all, that we would not have to perish and could spend eternity with God, who loved us enough to send his only son to pay the price of our sin.
7342516 9 months ago
@7342516 "Now, the life of a lamb used to be given to absolve them of their sin" Oh yes, ritual animal blood sacrifices...how savage and immoral for a god to require such an immoral thing. You really don't find anything repulsive or wrong with that??? Why would God make sin inheritable in the first place!?!?!

part 5: That is true, pure love. You ask how God is loving?... im sure that should answer your question.

This first guy has to know who Comfort is or at least he sees these sanctimonious jack offs for who they are. Idiots who can't accept what it real, and have to put their faith in fairy tales made up by people 2000 years ago and more that couldn't keep their own feces out of their food!!

does it bother anyone that no matter what the topic of the video is, they end up doing THE EXACT SAME THING?
macman13 4 years ago
does seem odd
Templae123 4 years ago
No it dose not bother me that thay do the same thing. Truth dose not change. The wages of Sin is Death. Jesus came to die for us on the cross and save us if we trust in him.. What are you looking for that is difrent? Do you need further explaing do you have questions?
bru737 4 years ago
It just seems to be interesting that if there topic is anything from evolution to hell, they always end up with we're all evil and deserve to be tortured unless we pay lip service to a jewish carpenter who was beaten by romans.
macman13 4 years ago
No one gets into heaven by paying lip service to Jesus. They have to be sincere in their repentance, otherwise they're not repenting at all. You and I both know that God knows if we're paying him lipservice.
That jewish carpenter who was beaten romans endured that for you, b/c he loves you.
Parkerjones1 4 years ago
He endured that because he pissed off the government.
I use the term "paying lip service" to mean "salvation by faith alone."

ohhh myyy fucking god!! i cannot believe this video! how he controls and manages people to say what he wants calling them all those things, this just goes to prove that religion wants to control people and thats it, thjis is an exact prove of that.

you'll regret not accepting the koran if you die
macman13 4 years ago
well in your religion doesnt allah forgive at the last minute? and if you go to hell isnt not for eternity?
Templae123 4 years ago
I'm not Muslim. I was just making the point that no matter what religion you are a part of, you are betting that all the others are wrong.
Here's a hypothetical. What if god does exist, but he designed the universe to make it look like he didn't and he will send all theists to hell and reward all atheists with eternal life?
macman13 4 years ago
you see that makes sense which is why you choose your own religion. ive adapted believe in Catholicism and evolution.
Templae123 4 years ago
I don't have a religion, I was just posing a hypothetical.

ya thats cool. I think im gonna tell my evangelical friends i believe in evolution. they wont take that lightly theyll probably say "satan has gotten to me" or something silly

There is only one way. Jesus Christ is the only way, there is no excuse! Romans 1: verse 20.

Another thing religious people must explain: if there is only one god, why did he left a Bible, Koran and Jewish Bible(sorry i dont know the name). and what makes you think your religion is the right one? its a gamble in my eyes.
Grimpulsive 4 years ago
religion is nothing but a way leaders used to keep the people from rebelling. Its like telling a child "if you're a good boy, you'll get some candy" and in this case the candy offered is the human's greatest wish: eternal life.

let me ask you guys a ? how do we know the wind is real i cant see the wind so why should i believe that wind is real and how do i know i have a heart i have never personaly seen my heart so how do i know? and to answer consumedinformerj's ? we dont believe we should beat our kids with rods and we dont reject most of the bible as barbaric

you can feel the wind, the wind moves your hair, strong wind can move objects.
You can feel your heart beating and, the little fact that countless bodies have been cut open and studied by medical science so, you do have a heart.

exactly i have felt gods presents and i know he is real so nobody will ever be able to tell me he is not real

but I haven't, so I don't believe in god.
Maybe later in my life i'll become a believer, but at this point in my life there's still no reason for me to blieve in god.
whamii 4 years ago
well i will give you a hint you will never feal the presence of God untill you put your full trust in him
imundying 4 years ago
Well, I might agree that Jesus could have been more insane than the rest, or honestly thought that. Still, a man say he is the son of god, nor millions of men saying another is the son of god does not mean that he is the son of god.
ConsumedInformerJ 5 years ago
Jesus was one of thousands of martyrs who died on crosses at the hands of the romans. The difference? He got popular, they did not. Sad story.
ConsumedInformerJ 5 years ago
The martrs never claimed to be the son of God. Only Jesus did. The bible sais that Jesus never sinned. Jesus said that He would die for us and take away our sins. Jesus took our sins on that cross and he paid instead of us. That's the difference.
goodmusic1981 5 years ago
You could say you were the son of god and that he sent you to save the world. No one would believe you (unless you started a cult). Can we argue with you, disprove that you are the son of god? Not likely. Sadly, like the story of Jesus, this gives us no reason to actually believe you are the son of god, let alone trust what you say.
ConsumedInformerJ 5 years ago
How about the miracles that Jesus perfomed. How he gave sight to the blind, healed the sick, and raised Lazarus fromt the dead? He said that He came to die so that we may have eternal life if we believe in Him.
goodmusic1981 5 years ago
People believe these things happened, we don't know they happened. The bible alone cannot stand as evidence for something that happened so long ago, especially when much of it was written generations after Jesus supposedly lived.
ConsumedInformerJ 5 years ago
But you see, that's what faith is all about. Look around you..do you think all this just happened? Look outside, at sunsets, the sky, the birds, everything.
goodmusic1981 5 years ago
Even though men wrote it, God used those men to write it, therefore, its almost like if God wrote it himself. People have freewill to write whatever they please, that's true, but when it comes to the word of God, they cannot change it because God's purpose is for us to know the truth through His word so that we may live because He loves us. Therefore he will not let it be turned into a lie so that we may be lost.
goodmusic1981 5 years ago
Just like a building needed a creator to be built, so do us, and this earth and all of creation. Even today, people are healed through the name of Jesus Christ and many other miracles happen in His name. Its not just a coincidence. Yes, without faith, one might say that the bible is not true, but if you have faith you would know that the almighty God who is in control of everything, is also in control of His word (the bible).
goodmusic1981 5 years ago
I suppose you think the earth is under 10,000 years old as well? Or that we should beat our children with rods and stone family members who don't believe in your god, or believe in another god? If the word of god in bible is so truthful, why do we reject much of what it says as barbaric?
ConsumedInformerJ 5 years ago

Suposing satan exists, there's no evidence that satan exists, no one has ever seen him, no one has ever been to hell and come back to tell us, all we are doing is suposing satan or hell exist.
