I don't understand why anybody who rides a SEPTA bus stands in front of the driver, blocking the aisles, and sitting on the left ledge; especially if there are seats available. I very kindly offer a standing passenger a seat, but then they politely refuse; saying that they're fine". Well if there's ever an accident, and they wind up in the emergency room with broken bones, serious injuries, or even dead; don't come crying to me.
If there's a seat available, by all means, please sit down.
