  • sounds ridiculous but literally every human being is just as flexiable as a cat.

    and as flexable as contortionist.

    the only difference between contortionists and not contortionists are that.

    contortionsists actually keep up with their flexability,and practice it.

    like cats need to keep the flexability to keep themselves clean (licking).

    but humans dont have the need for that, so we don't keep up with it as much.. all were doing is stretching more.

  • You are amazing, especially considering how far you have come so quickly! I can see that you have a really nice even bend throughout your back, the mark of a proffessional contortionist. If you actually look at the seam line on your top throughout this video you can imagine that is roughly where your spine is, so its very educational to watch to see the shapes. I hope you end up doing a performance or something youre so talented it would be a shame for it to be just us on youtube that see it.

  • You have terrific flexibility and could easily develop a professional 5 minute act. In fact I would be very happy to choreograph it!

    Why not try linking some moves together into a routine, maybe on a low table and wearing something briefer and using some slow music to build up the tension and add some drama to the positions achieved? I can think of several suitable pieces. Well done!! Great!!!

  • I think you have incredible flexibility, I'm a man and have always admire the flexibility of contortionists, I wish I had kept the flexibility I had in my 20's which had almost been 30 years ago for me I still have very good flexibility I can almost touch my elbows to my toes but in my early 20's could almost touch my head to my ankles when I did a forward bend. Keep up the good work.

  • I train on my own and i must admit it's pretty hard when you trains without somebody to help you. I m always scared to break my back or my shoulders while doing backends.

  • do you have to be realllly fit to do this? because i'm extremely flexible, I use to be a gymnast but retired because I had hip surgery. I dance now and I have all my splits, but this seems interesting. I need to get in better shape though perhaps?

  • you dont have to be really fit. anybody can do contortion. eventually, you get fit though because it tones your whole body and you slowly get better in shape without noticing. If your interested in trying contortion, i say go for it! you can message me if you want some tips and stuff. :)

  • i taught myself. i just watched youtube videos and copied what i saw.

  • You have a great natural talent, or you've been doing yoga for a long time. Do you use breath control when going in and out of these postures? Also, to go further in your triple fold try putting your arms between your legs and use your hands to grab your knees and pull through. To improve your splits try holding them for a long period of time, like when you are watching TV, doing homework, or talking on the phone.

    Well i saw a contortion video randomly on youtube and thought it was sooo amazing. so i started teaching myself and im just naturally flexible. what kept me going is finding new tricks and inspiration from cirque du solil and the little mongolian girls that are so amazing :P

  • Yes, they are amazing! :D I do some "hobby" contortion, but i'm not really doing great on keeping it going -.- I really want to become flexible, and i guess i just have to get started!

  • You might want to try reaching through your legs to grab onto something and pull yourself through. That would probably add a lot to the stretch.

    Also have you ever managed to get your butt to touch your upper back or shoulder blades in a backbend?

  • I have been watching since week one veryyyy goood!!! I started contortion when u put week one on youtube but i gave up after a week cuz i couldnt do the one thing.I have a question. When u do a backbend then walk ur hands forward should u just keep going even know it feels like ur gonna break ur nack cuz i dont know if thats normal or not. and will it hurt my neck/back trying it?

  • well if you stretch out properly, you shouldnt hurt yourselff.
