They kissed in one of the later novels (Volume 20, if I recall), and Orphen actually tries to propose, but utterly fails at it (which leads to a hilarious argument).

I haven't read the manga but a couple times I have seen a couple get together in a manga but not the anime so maybe try the manga after the anime....... usually mangas keep going after the anime thats the reason... dunno about Orphen though
