I think there's no need to stretch anything here: if one starts without excess tension, the high frequency harmonics will blossom as the music goes up.

I know Louis Gentile from his first contract in Darmstadt Staatstheater. He has come a long way from that point in his career. This; "Got Welch Dunkle Hier" is as well sung as Jon Vickers.
This is one fine tenor -- would love to hear him in Samson et Dalila & Otello! Bravo!
