  • These are great. I live about half a mile from the one in Crockett Park and we can still here them very clearly in any room of our house.

  • wow

  • Heres what you do:

    1) Get some giant speakers

    2) Play this through them

    3) Watch everyone shit themselves :)

  • we got this one here in MN (Minnesota)

  • 0:05

  • Do most of these have battery backup? None of the Federal 2001's here have batteries to back them up because our county is too cheap to invest in anything properly.

  • @highlanderhybrid Every siren in the county has battery backup on them. They also have power supplies on them that let them run off of the grid so that it won't put a load on the batteries.. until the power goes out.

  • @StormChaseTN That is very good! Ours are strictly on the power grid or nothing. I signed up for Text alerts to our VZW phones and have a weather radio just to be safe because our power goes out all the time. Is there any kind of petition we could start or anything you think to have them evaluate the need for battery backups on sirens?

  • Man, this is the ONLY siren I have been looking for...god the sound is perfect for a NUCLEAR ATTACK! warning siren :D

  • this sounds just like the beginning of ring the alarm by beyonce

  • @musicrockzz22 LMAO! You a mess xD

  • INCOMING!!!!

  • This siren is also in northern indiana

  • i live in corinth and we have3snr's and 12 snrbs

  • Sends a chill up my spine just hearing it...

  • Niceeee

  • This siren is just up the street from my workplace. It can be heard in some parts of the building. However, building between Municipal Bldg. and us..plus many interior walls in our building...make it inaudible in certain places. If weather looks bad the Security office turns on a microphone attached to outside of building so they can hear the siren and activate the warning message over intercom. I've heard this one a number of times.

  • cool siren

  • anybody else notice that the Rotator Speeds up when the chopper winds Down?

  • @form109 Yep, that's normal on 2001's. All of them do the same thing.

  • @form109 i notice it

  • @form109 Thats because of how much current the chopper motor sucks out of the rotator motor's power source.

  • This looks like the one we have at my school.

  • Did you report the rotation stopping during the activation?

  • why does it not rotate on the last cycle?

  • @lildil39485 The pure crapiness of the build quality causing a rotator failure is my guess.

  • Very good quality i love the sound did you use a tripod? plus guys you should check out fox river grove tornado siren i also reccoend soccerdude7330 videos there pretty cool too

  • @Siren40vt this is soccerdude7330's second account, FYI

  • Great sound on the 2001! how can you tell the diffence between a SRN and SRNB?

  • SRN has rectangular rotator box, SRNB has square rotator box

  • Very nice! That's a good pitch on a SRN.

  • awsome quality !

  • Awesome sounding 2001-SRN! :)

  • great quality. did you report it to the emergency management?

  • Great job! I was passing in front of the Municipal Building about the time it stopped rotating; saw it turning while I was stopped at traffic light just up the street.

  • Great video!
