The ISO for hardness, called Rockwell Scale, (the B stands for the way you measure it).
Hardened steel is RH 62.
Usually RH 60 aluminum is one of the hardest aluminum you can get, only with 2000 or 7000 aluminum alloy series, usually used for aerospace applications, but it can be used for much more stuff.

In how much is this setup at the moment?
Do you think that just one Stepper/screw at the X axis is enough/cheaper?
molinobeer 1 year ago
Hi!
Velocity is 7200 mm/min and acceleration is 1200mm/sec^2.
I have never seen a video with 2 steppers on X axes like in my case the shorter axes.

Hi, thank you very much for the fast response.
Do you think that setup can mill aluminum up to RH B60?
molinobeer 1 year ago
I already know that this router will be capable to mill aluminum because my weaker routers could do it .I will use spindle motor with 1,6Kwatt.
I really don't know what is RH B60?
My best regards!

2000 is Aluminum+Copper.
7000 is Aluminum+Zinc.
Best Regards.
